leathercraft cap
# Sep 05 2006 at 3:59 AM Rating: Decent
My Craft levels are:

Smithing 45
Goldsmithing 30
Leathercraft 10

I failed 3 times. But each time my leathercraft went up by 0.1
So, leathercaraft cap is over lvl 10.
I won't attempt this synth again until I am past lvl 12.

I bought this set. As soon as a hit level 29PLD I changed to this armour then a got a nice chain of "someone examines you" on my chat log, followed by "sweet armour man! lol". When it came to fighting the White Mage in the party was chewing fat, all the damage the IT mob was doing to me before we could kill it, was easily replenished with a Cure III executed by me. One of my fellow party members said: "OMG it's hittnig u for 9!!1 lol". So if you want to impress your associates at level 29 (Reletively cheaply too!) this armour is the way forward. Another great thing about it is that it lasts you until Breastplate (lv40) definately worth investing the money to buy this or even the HQ version if you're loaded.

Head: 30,000g
Hands: 40,000g
Body: 30,000g
Legs: 45,000g
Feet: 30,000g

Current Prices for Ifrit Server, I didn't pay over 30k for one piece of mine though :P The High Quality version is priced 80-200k for each one (not quite sure of the exact price)

Made this today sitting in front of the Auction House (no imagery).

Smithing 39.9 (it got me 0.1 up to 40)
Goldsmithing 24
Leathercraft 5

So, yes... it does NOT require much leathercraft at all, though I'd recommend getting more towards 10 to be on the safe side.

this is also excellent equipment for promys, i let my friend borrow it and she quit before i got my armor back, and i still need promys >_<; im on Cerberus server and got each piece for 20k and head for 16k and now i lost all that. Pretty sweet armor none the less. I feel the help makes the wearer look like a conehead.
Happy^^

The cap for leathercraft on this is not 6. I just failed 3 times in a row because of the moron that said it was. My smithing is 52, goldsmithing is 25, and leather is 6.

You don't have to have very high smithing stat to craft the Eisen-armour parts, 35+ will do, but you also need a decent goldsmithing and some leathercraft skill. I had lots of failures until leathercraft was at 5, goldsmithing at 16 and smithing at 40 - no fails then ^^. Unfortunately no hqs either but nevermind. Most recipes with components from different crafts require that craft skill to be levelled a bit.

Edit: Skill ups for smithing stop at 43, leathercraft at 6, not sure about goldsmithing.

I made a whole set (with a couple breaks, of course) at level 30 smithing. I'm level 40 now and I have no trouble making these.

# Jan 07 2005 at 4:21 AM Rating: Decent
on Valefor theres is none of these available except in Jeuno where the prices are huge! I travelled around for a bit and nabbed them as soon as they came on sale...
These are the prices i got each for:
Head : 15k
Body : 19k
Gloves : 10k
Legs : 9k
Feet : 11k

Total : 64k!!!

And now there is none available in any ah in any town! (Bastok, Windy, San D'Oria) cept jeuno where it cost 100k+ for the whole set.... :( but decent armour non the less and i get plenty invites cos i am one of the only few who have this armour on Valefor who camps in Yuhtunga Jungle and Yhoator Jungle!

I made this Armor at LVL 40 Smithing 28 Goldsmithing 10 Leathercraft and I still got skill up from it. This mean it has to be capped around lvl 45 Smithing. Thats my guess.

Actually reading other threads the gloves are 40 or so... so I would say that this is probably 37-38... I guess I'll try at 34 goldsmithing 20
