For Ramuh, stacks of these are now going for 30k each. Not a minor pittance. The good news however is that you can synth these at a massive profit, even if you buy all the ingredients.
Don't think anything else is worth mentioning as the flour and water are ridiculously cheap. Anyways, even if you buy the ingredients (27k) you can likely make 3-4 stacks worth, even more if you happen to be a good chef. 30k x 3-4 is definitely worth the gil, in my opinion. ^^ Or you could just farm the ingredients and turn an even larger profit.
Great so you are telling me i busted my (explitive) for 50+ levels of cooking to make dog food.... its really a sad day for us when we think that dogs eat better than most people in FFXI.... what is the world coming to?
instead of selling the petfood you make why not try and find a BeastMaster on your server who will buy it from you? true most of us BeastMaster's do our own cooking but what BeastMaster in their right mind would turn down a great biscuit that heals over 150 hp on their pet at a great bargain?
No, it does not. I thought that bird and lizard eggs were pretty much interchangeable, but bird eggs will not work for this recipe. (Oddly enough, lizard eggs do not work for pet food alpha.)
I'm going to guess that the skill on this is 59 and not 60 like the rest of the petfoods: Alpha - 9 Beta - 19 Gamma - 29 Delta -39 Epsilon - 49 Zeta - 60????
Mysterytour also mentions eta and theta pet foods, but doesn't have recipies. Shouldn't be that hard to find, since all the pet foods require 1 distilled water, 1 egg of some type, 1 meat of some type, and 1 flour of some type and there are only so many combinations.
I wonder about this healing 275, since epsilon biscuits heal more. It may have some hidden property if iti heals less than the lower biscuit. Because that doesn't follow the normal pattern of increasing heal amount.
Either that or SE wanted to make a cheaper pet food alternative to cockatrice meat (epsilon). But that seems at a poor attempt at manipulating the economy.
The pet foods' healing is (as a base example) is determened by the alphabet. Food starting with the first letter of the alphabet would be the weakest healing. Example: Alpha heals less than Beta, Beta heals less than Delta, so on and so forth.
I don't think it was meant to top Epsilon. If I remember correctly there is a large gap in the amount healed between Delta(I think it's Delta) and Epsilon. I think this was mean to fill it.
Considering the price right now, it does feel like it should cost more though.
I have a funny feeling that getting to level 60 cooking just got significantly easier, if these sell to vendors nicely like the other Pet Food Biscuits ^.^
Heh. Yield is 4 and each sells to NPC for about 150g. I'm currently skilling up cooking to 60 on this recipe because it's a break even recipe (even with Coeurl meat prices increasing to 3.5k/stack). This is a very nice recipe!
