Mist gear
# Apr 27 2005 at 12:01 PM Rating: Decent
Mist gear is also an item you can trade in for Guild Points. I was trying to keep my CC at 40, becuase all the guild point items they were asking for were like Gaiters, Gloves, Kenpogi and really easy stuff to make (and cheap). But I decided I wanted to be able to HQ Shinobi Tabi and went ahead and started raising CC again. I checked back the same day that I had turned in 9 Kenpogi and the guild was now asking for Mist Mitts. I only have 39k GP and can't get the key item yet needed to make it. Higher level guys keep telling me don't get it until you've already gotten the others, it's not really worth it in the first place. Eh well.

I hope they add some recipes for us in the update. I'm feel like I wasted my GP. It's great when and if one of your enchanted items sells. Seems the other guilds get more useful enchanted synths but maybe I'm just bitter :P Need Mist gear on Carby tell me... lol i cant get rid of it X_X
Keeping Key Items
# Feb 01 2005 at 6:56 PM Rating: Decent
I was wondering, if you get this item, then you change guild contracts, do you still keep it? I am asking b/c I (someday) plan on taking leather and cloth quite high (100 and 60 respectivly at the moment), but want to make sure I keep my key items (actual items I assume you keep) if I change guild contracts.

Reason -- If I do want to make the nice really high stuff I'll need the actual items from both guilds (apron + lvl 50 skill items).

Thanks in advance

Usage?
# Sep 24 2004 at 1:52 PM Rating: Decent
I'm wary of dumping my guild points that i've worked so hard to save up for my magnifying spectacles, and thus i wonder... Is this a one time use thing? Surely somebody must know, as i've seen smooth velvet up for sale. Thanks for any input ^^

This is not a one time use thing. It is a key item that you keep forever once you get it and it allows you then to synth items that require it.

This is a key item purchased with guild points at the cloth guild. It is required for making some of the new cloth recipes introduced with CoP. At my skill level (Cloth 80), the cost of the key item is 40,000 guild points.

Is it only needed for CoP recipies? Are there no recipies from RoZ that use it?

I'm being offered this key item at Cloth 75, so it must start being offered earlier. It's still 40k for me. Anyone have more info so we figure out at what level cloth this is offered?

It is offered as soon as you are able to talk to Hauh Colphioh. I believe she won't talk to anyone without a "Novice" rank or higher.
