Is the shade killer effect any better on the harness than any of the other pieces?

I got the gloves...and it seemed pretty good to me, 2 fights i got over 25 intimidates...last fight i got 18 at holla and 8 in a row.
Dont know what helps it, but my gear was:
WAR/NIN
kampf body and legs
empress hairpin
bounding boots
nomad's mantle
brave belt
str rings +1
spike necklace
power bow and beetle arrows
battle axe x2

My character name is Shawna and I'm on Fenrir. I've got a full set of this armor (some pieces are +1). It's awesome. I have never, NEVER seen anyone with a single piece of this armor, much less a whole set like I have.
I made myself a whole, signed set...it is SWEET!

I would highly recommend this harness for war/nin during promys. I have used it several times and it seemed to proc frequently. Often this can mean the difference between being able to get that shadow up or not. The last promy I did was dem. The mob was intimidated 5 times in a row. Although the proc times are very random, even if it only works a few times it is worth it. As an elvaan war using meat, the other wars provokes did nothing to take hate away from me. It was the mob being intimidated that allowed me to stay alive and eventually win the fight.
Does the "Empty Killer" bonus also attribute to causing more overall damage to the Empty?

Just to let you know, I just finished buying full NQ gear on Sylph. It cost 550k from AH. I would have bought the +1 gear for the EVA but I don't have space and the Storage NPC won't accept +1 gear. I'll update letting you know how well this set worked next time I do a Promy or an ENM. Either way, this gear stil looks good!
I saw someone ask this before, but I just picked up shade mittens (I had full kamph set for promies...war/nin...with empress pin for head) for the empty killer trait but saw it kick in a lot less than I saw someone farming with a full set the other day. Does the effect stack with a full set or would it be worthless for me to buy the complete set and sell my other equip. BTW, I have equip for WAR solely for promies, I don't exp it.
From what I understand, the effect does stack with each additional piece.
Whether the intimidation from the shade or the tanking stats from the kampfplatte is more important is your call from there. ^^/

On 2/27/06 I paid 200k at the Jeuno AH on Asura server. +1 version going for 1.3 mil.
At the Jeuno AH on Kujata these have reached 112k....I went there with 50k expecting to buy one and now it looks like I'll have to get it crafted. This is getting beyond a ******* joke now...

I saw a 30 RDM/NIN in promyvion-Holla solo the Notorious Monster Craver, he had full Shade +1 Armor, he used Paralyze and Utsusemi, and DIDN'T GET HIT ONCE!

Does the more pieces of the set mean more chance of intimidation, eg, if i had all the pieces would i intimidate it more than if i only had the harness?
Thinking of buying it for my MNK for the prommys, is this a good idea, or should i stick to Merc.Capt doublet?

Merc Capt Doublet is useless for MNK. DEX/AGI are two stats MNK do not need, despite the 2DEX~1Acc equation.
Fed. Gi is better than Merc. Capt. Doublet, but for prommies since there isnt much good MNK gear yet, I use the Shade Harness and Shade Tiara(until I get Emp.Hairpin).

can some one explain to me wot this "empty killer" effect means and wots it does plz
The "Empty Killer" effect gives you that trait - Empty Killer. Now, the Empty are the mobs in Promyvions. And like all other killer effects, what this'll do is(I'm 99% sure it has to be attacking *you* for this to happen) make them "Intimidated by your presence.". For example... my in~game name is Slayor. It would say "The Gorger is intimidated by Slayor's presence." This is basicly paralyze; it just won't attack you for that one hit, when it normally would. Pretty neat, huh^^?

I just bought the whole set accept Hand Peice. It was 45k for Body, 35k for Head, 60k for Legs, and 50k for Feet. Alot of ppl said i got it cheap and that too wait like 3 days then re-sell it for about a 50k profit. Im a Drg/War Elvaan and i just look like I kick *** it in. I do do Prom's somtimes with this set, but if spending 190k on a Set that does nothing for me at all (im not main tank) why should i have it? Styll, I look great. =)

after 3 days of lvling my crafting skills i just made my first shade harness today lol im happy now i can take a break and farm..

I wore the full set when I went up against the holla boss but it really didn't help. I took too much damage due to the low defense (not being able to buff didn't help.) and the boss wasn't intimidated much if at all.
Paladin or war tanks, I'd recomend using the eisen set. I think this is really only worth using for ninja tanks.

I have a complete set more or less becuse I liked the look of it. It has a slight assist for soloing Promy areas for the purpose of farming. I'm still baffled on out the "killer effect" works. Now some mobs i've intimidated them for a full 5 rounds of combat before they have hit me. Then i've gone 20+ mobs and the effect not work at all. I'm about to sell it soon because i'm better off using my Eisn set for tanking purposes and farming purposes.

I was wondering if anyone else has had problems or successes w/ this items and the rest of the set. i like how it looks and was considering gettting it but I don't know if it is really worth the money. i'll probabbly just do the Promys w/ my whm which can't use it anyways but my 2nd char is a bard who could so I was just wondering. a few people here seem to have had problems w/ it so i'd just like to know a bit more about it. thanks

Is there a base stat that effects this? Because I have the whole set (sans the feet:) And well... anything over an ep only gets intimadated once if I am lucky during the fight. This is as a lvl 30 nin/war tank. And the boss fight it has not proced once. This is the biggest waste of 200k I have ever spent. I need this and paralyze to properly tank in there, and well, paralyze and the Psycho anima have been more useful then this. I would recommend that you go in w/ 6 psychoanima, 3 hysteroanima and 2 smn and a blink tank to take on the boss. Have done that twice and Well, I could have probably done it naked... Psychoanima does the intimadate at 100% for 30 seconds... much better thent his equiptment and it only costs 2k per item... save your gil, don't buy this crap. (Unless of course you know some way of making this work better for you... or if you want to impress the ppl you are pting w/...)

I bought this a few weeks ago for my thf because it looked cool. I didn't even have cop yet and it was only 20k. Well I was cleaning house the other day and decided I'd sell this and then realized it was going for 90k.

I HQ'd this last night, on Earthsday with 87% moon.
I had at the time 54.5 Bone, 52.1 Cloth, 60 leather.
Weird.
(BTW, the next synth I HQ'd the leggings too)
