Anyone on Remora server seen any of these in AH recently? I've been in the Bastok area for a while and none have come through. I already have boots, pants, and hands, and I wanna finish the set so I can go level. Thanks for the help.

Definitely want the doublet as your top priority, +1 if you can afford it. It's the best piece of body armor you'll get until your AF. Next would be the bracers because RNGs don't really get any good hand gear at this level and the RACC+1 (or +2 with HQ) always helps, next would be the beret if you don't have a Emp Hairpin which gives more AGI than even the beret+1. The brais aren't as necessary because at level 24 you could get the martial slacks which give AGI+2 and EVA+3, which is better is debatable, I use the slacks, myself, but some people prefer the brais, the noct brais+1 would probably be the best choice, depending on the prices on your server. Another thought would be the centurion cuisses which also give AGI+2 but have higher defense than the slacks. Finally, the gaiters are pretty much worthless for rangers because all they give is DEX which isn't very useful except for a little added accuracy for melee attacks and a slight boost in critical hit%. Since you're a Hume, I'd suggest you get a pair of RSE boots for the AGI+3.

Try Again
# May 13 2005 at 11:59 AM Rating: Decent
Months Later I have tried again.....

60.3 Clothcraft
+29.5 Leathercraft
------------------
No skill ups
No HQ

So Leather skill is below 30 to make, but definetly needed. Judging from previous posts i would say its 20 leather to make.

Well, not the best - but a good part of a well equipped Ranger's gear.

Things that are nice to have at 30:

Hawker Knives (I use 2 since I sub NIN)
Beetle Rings
Ranger Necklace
Emperor Hairpin
Noct Armor (various pieces, althouth RSE can be better sometimes for +AGI)

All of these items directly or indirectly raises your ranged accuracy - put them all together (esp with +1 versions) and you're a true killing machine.

Question on images
# Feb 13 2005 at 1:09 PM Rating: Decent
So i feel kinda foolish asking, but can anyone tell me how to get a screenshot out of the playonline software so that i can send it to an e-mail address? I have them within the mail folders of the playonlien account, but if i try to send it to an address that isn't pol it rejects the message.Just curious how to get the pics in order to post em and if someone wanted to put together a photo album of their adventures on a computer. Any help would be appriciated!
stupid lvl
# Jan 31 2005 at 2:47 PM Rating: Decent
I tried to synth this as a lvl 28 cloth crafter and it was a no Go. Said it was to high for my skill lvl so I am guessing lvl 30+ . It might have been my leathercraft skill that gimped it though because its only lvl 4, and now my cloth is lvl 39. Wish Square would give specifics ><;
hmmmm
# Jan 30 2005 at 1:19 AM Rating: Decent
i just looked up the requirements and noticed that it took linen thread. i'm kinda hoping that because of this it took at maximum lvl 37 craft to make it. i'm 22 right now so i won't risk it. i'll reply if i get a result positively.
can u gild this?

I'm scared to try to make these, anyone know how high leathercraft must be in proportion to your clothcraft in order to make items that are clothcraft/<other craft>?

Noct Question
# Nov 05 2004 at 10:27 AM Rating: Decent
How long (lvl 30 -> lvl XX) can you use the noct equipment before you need to get something better?
RE: Noct Question
# Jan 15 2005 at 11:21 AM Rating: Default
In general, RNGs have been saying that you can get away with using Noct all the way to AF. Although you should get a new body piece at 40 (i think), Iron Mustekteer's Gambison. It has the same rang.acc. bonus as Noct+1 body and it has a nice rang.atk. bonus (like + 3 or 4). Best of all, it's a conquest point item (from Bastok I believe) and so in general shouldn't be that expensive (until all the RNG's read this post and start snatching them up. So hurry up and get yours!!)

And that would be great, if Rangers could wear it, but they can't. So your point is moot.
Clothcraft
# Nov 02 2004 at 8:53 PM Rating: Decent
Clothcraft has to be in the range of 20-25, got the recipe as a level 16 Clothcrafter. I have no idea about Leathercraft, but I'd have to guess ~10.

Level requirements

Since the Noct Beret has requirements of Clothcraft 60 and Leathercraft 17+, it would make sense that these are at least that difficult. I am trying to level Leathercraft to 20 so I can try this. I will post the results of my test as soon as I have done it. Generally speaking the body is the toughest piece to synth.

There's no way the beret has a requirement of 60, I made it when I was 52 cloth several times with no fail or skillup :/
