Square should have write "Lv.75 PLD" only on it... just like they should have with the Bomb Queen Ring.

Since this ring is gotten from dynamis, and dynamis LS usually only do dynamis, they have another shell for HNM and god. The first ring drop should go to your main Dynamis Lord tank. The ring + mantle will make dynamis lord that much more easier to kill. So giving it to your main tank will help the LS in getting more of these.

I got this baby since 2 week, i am a nin 75 tanking lot of wyrm for my ls, i tryed it tanking vtra, tiamat, xp pty dynamis run, ....

So i will try to explain a bit about this ring, i wear it 100% of the time btw.

First of all the resist death hmmmm that's not what is interesting cause only 2 mob in the game cast dead from what i know this tonbery in Psoxja and some boss in dynamis.

For the magic defense bonus on darksday, it is noticeable, on darksday tiamat when he fly hit me for like 40 less dmg than usual, i take like 280 dmg when he fly usually and with the ring it go down to 240, same from all magic type attack.

Now for the interesting part of it, the occasionally nullifies magic damage taken, it really kick in randmly, it depend on the weather and the day of the week.

In dynamis (double dark weather) it kick in often, i took 0 dmg from mijin gakure and took 0 dmg from an astral flow as well. I took 0 dmg from bomb toss from gob as well.

I went in aura statue sky party, and those use some kind of magic attack (ice break, thunder break, and the other one i don't remember name that cast a random elemental magic on you that pass trough shadow) i took 0 dmg like 1/2 on it :)
Then the day after we went back camp ulli and it kicked in like 1/10 or so ; ; so it's really random.

On tiamat i took a lot of 0 dmg wing and some 0 dmg attack when he fly as well, same for vtra wing, i took some 0 dmg from firagaIII, touchdown, and inferno blast.

Again it's really random can kick in like 3 time in a row then no more kick in for 8 attack.

I have it since only 2 week so i testin it still ^^

I don't neccisarily think this is the best ring in the game, but that's just me.Note-I am weird. Why? Well, the resist Death is pretty cool, but I've only seen it used once outside of Dynamis and that's from Golden-tounged Culberry, a high level popped NM. So that stat isn't the greatest out of Dynamis. Magic Defense bonus is pretty cool.. on Darksday. =/ But the 'main' stat of this is prolly the occasionally annuls magic damage, which is awesome... if there is a spell being cast on you. And at higher levels (75 being requirement..) spells just don't have the cast time of Stone. So why not just make a macro for equiping the ring in if there is a -ga or normal spell being cast on you. That way, when you're being casted on, switch it in. So personally, I would only use this when you're being casted on, or in dynamis.. because the lag is so great that by the time you see death or a high level spell being cast, there wont be time. Of course, the other 'main' perk of this is the bragging rights. ^^; God knows I'd never take this off if I had it. On a sky run yesterday, I checked someone and saw this ring. I said to the Party "Shadow Ring {Found it!}". and like.. 5 people said "Where?? o_O". And she got bombarded by checks and there were 3 or so {Congratulations!}. <_< So needless to say... No one would want to take this off unless switching to a 74& below job.

I just found a DRG in full relic armor in Ru'Lude Gardens yesterday wearing this, and took a picture and sent it in. The stats are as follows:

Shadow Ring
[Ring] All Races
Occasionally annuls magic
damage taken
Enhances resistance against "Death"
On Darksdays:
"Magic Def. Bonus"
Lv.75 All Jobs

im quite new to the game so this may sound stupid but if someone had both items would'nt it mean defeating dynamis-lord easier next time leading to more rings and mantles?

I have this ring. This is the best ring in the game by far. It RULES. It nullifies - mgc dmg taken but it doesn't nullify + magic cast on you.

Here's my take on this, and since no one seems to have one, or know someone who does... This can be a good and bad thing. Yeah, could nulify magic damage or effects to you. BUT, what if you try to heal yourself or attempt to get healed by someone else.... what if it resists that too? That is not a good thing. Kinda like that armor that makes drg's intimidate themselves.... Pretty funny if you ask me! :P

this ring seems tailor made for dynamis since its always double dark in there >.>

Seems to work about 30% of the time. With the ring the effect would be about 60% (but unless you're the leader and disband so you get the drops or do Dynastis-Xarcabard a LOT, you probably wouldn't wind up getting both of these, ever)

Thats how it work. so, its the best ring.

at first glance i thought this ring was the best in the game, but then again the good stuff only kicks in on darksday :( so its fair to say,
"this is the best ring in the game! /whisper on darksday"

This ring sounds awsome...it would be so cool if someone had a pic of it they can submit...and just so i know, how do people take pics of armor so the description etc shows? I have asked around my server but no one knows....lol
