on fenrir leaping boots are 500k now did the update make the nm drops more rare or something? i sold my boots for 370k three weeks ago and never had seen them sell more then 450k.

lol u guys are gonna die from laughing, i was thf goin out to farm beehive chips in S. Gusta and i was traveling along minding my own buisness when i c Leaping Lizzard pop ontop of a cliff, no campers around ^.^ so i head up and of all things, use steal to claim it lol no drop, but i still think its a funny story...also i camped ochiudos kote for a while and never got claim so this rose my NM hunting esteem quite a lot!

I'am 0/22 on these boots it really pisses me off
I claim 2/3 times i would say when i actually go camp her.Now adays i'am a 54drk who sold all his gear in a broke rage brought utsesumi: Ichi and lvled nin to 21(when i went broke).Now i'am desprate and i NEED the boots so i can sell them and return to lvling again...
In all my time of camping Lizzy I've only seen her drop once and when that happened i missed the spawn by like a half sec bc that dumb *** ability
called "Steal" refused to fire....
I got the message Target is not in range and Then Cannot attack Target is already claimed. what a b*tch. anyways i hate this NM but i have the feeling i need it to go on(the price of the boots are 600k on my server)Price of my gear(Not even good stuff) 800k I'am pretty much f????.

The current price for the leaping boots on Seraph is around 400k. Man i want that much money lo;

This past update did a lot of good and bad things. The drop rate on all nms is still the same, but they are a random 24 hour spawn now. This is to prevent gil farmers from constantly camping certain nms such as lizzy. Unfortunetly the price will most likely rise because of the rarity of the boots. Gil farmers really messed this game up.

Ugh, i feel like going to go suicide. I was helpin these fishers who kept pullin up crabs. I engaged it cuz i ran out of arrows and WHAM! Lizzy pops next to me. Then the next second i know a RDM is dia'ing it... Here goes like, 7 more hours >.<;;
Ok this going to sound dumb and probally already been answered,but what job combo should i use i was think thief/rng,but so many peaple how could i get there before som1....then i thought thief/war,any ideas?

Take any job that has a fast 'pull' to it. There have been numerous stories that other jobs, besides RNG/THF/WAR, have outpulled those 3 mentioned jobs. It is your preference to do what you like, but THF and RNG tend to be the combos that is most suited for it, if you are good and fast enough.

This is total bullsh*t and you were only getting drop by luck.
yea....the only time i've got drop was as 21blm/rng and was nuking like carzy b/c i was killing rock lizz with AoE then i saw pop and claimed lizzy and used up all the rest of my mp on her had to use two hour to finish her off and the other lizzerts off with AoE....so i see a few things wrong with that post.

the third time i used gust slash when i was at 300%tp and killed him in 1 hit
Been camping Lizzy for the past four days. I have claimed her 7 times with no drop. Her spawn times from what I have seen have been between 5 minutes and 3 hours. Killing all mobs in the area is adviseable as any mob type can spawn from any of the spawn zones. Quadav's, Vultures, Saplings, and Lizards have all spawned from the spawn points I watch. I have seen her spawn from the furmaroles to the Quadav campfire so she is a possible spawn in that entire stretch from what I've seen. My advice, pick a spot, stand there, and kill everything in your radar. Running around killing everything in the area is a great way to guarantee she will spawn away from you as you are opening up a limitless number of spawn points for her to appear at, and with all the competition you need to eliminate as many factors as possible. No drop yet, so no comment on the moon phase idea as pertaining to drop.
i camped her last night killed her onec, no drop i figherd that *** would be logging on about the same time, but was the only one there. waited about if not over 4 hours for her to pop again killed everything rock lizz i could find just cont stay up anylonger for the seconed try, was 6:34 am had class in an hour and 40 mins. i camped as 30war/1rng for wide scan and to skill up makemanship and club p.s nm camping take forever good bye to skill up low lvls. that made me 1/5 on lizzy

These leaping Boot's i bought for 500k one day, and then they starded slowly going down in price in jeuno so i sold them hoping the price would go back down to 350-375k but they stayed steady at 450-475k so i camp this, i get leaping lizzy first spawn i see it, 10 min. later it spawn's and like 6 people all in a pt all rank1 bastok parting they get the drop, of coarse i offered them 300k for it i began to trade, i d/c >< almost got an awsome deal. well im still gonna camp it ^^

When I got these boots, I didn't really see a change in my Sneak Attack damage. When I tried it out in Yhoator Jungle, all it did was around 60-100, which I normally do. How much more damage does DEX +3 give? If it gives a little bit then I guess I was wrong =P
I heard when you play as a Japanese character, you see the NM before the NA people see it. And that sucks because i heard that it's 2 seconds in vanadiel time before NA people see it (>_<)

Killed this lizard for the second time today as a 21 WHM/BLM..got the drop the second time after beating 2 THF/RNG to it. Now i want to get the rabbit charm for my THF, 0/6 atm.

Does that really make a difference to the drop? Ive fought Lizzy once, and I was DRG/WAR 14 at the time, no drop though.

Whatever lvl you are, it doesn't make a difference. If you're a lower lvl, the drop rate will still be the same. If you're a high lvl, the drop rate will still be the same.

ive killed it three times w/out widescan and i had two other rangers in the area who watched me kill them. unfortunately no drops but i still got to laugh in their faces. oh and i did this as a monk
Wide-Scan IS a need. Even though you did get it without wide-scan, you'll still need it.
You do not need WS to hunt Lizzy. As a matter of fact Widescan can hurt you in this case. By the time you see Leaping Lizzy show up on your Widescan chances are shes already been claimed. Looking at the map and your WS means you are not looking at the game when she spawns. Your best bet is to pick out an area, and just keeping your eyes open, look in all directions.

actually widescan is NEEDED for LL...i've snatched her under many without them even knowing it popped. currently 4/15 and i DONT use thf lol muwahahaha
today while i was camping i witnessed lizzy spawning twice withen 5mins, i got her both times with no drop though...
but the point still remains that lizzy's CAN spawn 5mins apart.

I've fought the lizzy three times and got the drop 2/3 times. This drop isn't bad at all and it's completely random. TH1 doesn't affect this drop because every time ive gotten the boots i've gone as whm/war. :) happy camping!
Square Enix has announced that Treasure Hunter affects ALL drops even rare/ex items and such. You were just lucky.
What are the odds of getting the boots? Is it a 1/3 change or what??

I agree, they're getting to 550k on Bahamut now as well, when I started they were 300k less. Actually, a lot of items have been getting jacked up in price and it's getting out of control.
Main problem is the gil sellers, making it too easy to get gil now. Messing up the economy.

i've been camping for it a few days now, and i'm 0/5. lol half the time i was sleeping. but hopefully i get it soon enough.
