You can get gear with the same DEF a few levels earlier, but all of that costs more. These have good DEF for the jobs that use them at an economical price. In these days and times, I know you want that. 50k for 1 extra defense point that will be outdated in 3 levels, or 5k for decent gear for your subjob?
