ok there is a few things i got to say. one people need to stop complaing about how just because people are faster then them they think the other people are bots. and about the *** players. everything comes to them like a second or two before it comes to use so thats why **** can get spook faster because it spawns for them sooner then it dose for us.

a screen shot of how camped it is. kinda good item, way too hard to get,i realized i dont need it b/c my evasion is always caped , camped it w/ LS and got it once sold at AH for 60K a while ago. took too much time not worth it :X

very hard to get, it was so overcamped it was crazy, the same guy got it everytime, when he left another guy got it everytime, maybe bots maybe not.. i came once when there was one other person and got the spook once but didnt get a drop, i give up, not such a good item but way too hard to get

the prices of this thing is so ridiculious 70K on carbuncle and thats not jeuno, i have lost track of how many i have grabbed
it's somwhere around 30/400+
slow japanese players don't worry about them
and most noobs you can blow away
everytime i am there it seems somone is botting
this camp is seriously one of the worst

here is wut will work, /targetnpc "Spook"
this will taget him automatically if he is there when u hit the button, even if a npc is in the way, u will grab Spook
i kill hoo mjuu the torrent and lizzy like this all the time >< sadly no drop yet from hoo, even with TH2, and i am 1/28 with lizzy

interesting too, did u know that hoo mjuu the torrent's drop "Monster Signa" is not counted as a "RARE" drop, so it is even harder to get :( regular drop enhances like TH1 make u get mitts most of the time :(
if only signa had the "Rare" symbol up in the corner, my thoughts on this would be different

The /targetnpc command is the same thing as hitting the F8 key. Typing "Spook" or "Hoo Mjuu the Torrent" or anything else is pointless, and does not apply. If Spook is the only NPC or targetable thing in your line of sight, then simply hitting F8 will work -- but woe on you if a Wyvern, gravestone, or anything else just happens to be around, or you might target that instead.
There is no surefire way to macro claiming any kind of NM. PERIOD. It may seem like it works for you because you aren't in the line of sight of anything else.
Try it in your Mog House, where the only two targetable things are the Moogle and the Door.

I was camping this last night and on the 3rd try i got it....
a JP came along after and as soon as i saw spook pop it's named would already be purple so i didnt get a chancce to get it again.
I'm just happy that i got it.

This guy got ripped. His "supposed" friend and him were hunti for the spook. They get the travaler's mant;e and sell it. But the 2 guys spit the money. Guy1 didn't get it yet, and guy 1 and guy2 never talk anymore.

This $ diff. is esp. strange when I look at how to aquire the Nomad. It doesn't list a mob drop on this site, but appears to only be crafted from a Travelers???!!!
Only lower, because people try to make Nomad's mantle +1 ...

Lets think about this for a moment.
Have you ever tried pinging something? Take this IP for instance... 65.75.136.112 If you go to your start menu, then run, then type in cmd, then type ping 65.75.136.112 Youll be given something that lists your ping time, or ms. (milliseconds per ping) I average 84 to that IP. It is located in california. Now say someone else who may live in cali pings about 14. If we both issued a command to the server box, he WOULD get the first return by 70ms over me.
How this relates to FFXI is the same oncept, except, it IS milliseconds. :) so its still POSSIBLE to steal something from a JP. Yes they have a bit of an advantage with that, but its not so big an advantage to be used as an excused for not getting your monster.

I've found that if you stand directly South of the tomb, and use 1st person view the tomb isn't targeted. So if you stand in that spot you could use a /targetnpc macro. ^^
If you want this item..prepare to pay for it. It's drop rate has been lowered and thusly the price will increase. Oh yeah....it's ALWAYS camped. 40k on Kujata is making its way to 50k+ and up.

A very nice guy named Darkkaos (Sylph server) camped this nm for me and after just 3 days (game time) I had my mantle which if you want to sell in goes on my server for 40k in Sandy AH. The spawn rate is 2-3 times per Vandiel day from 2000-0400 he also has 2-3 spectered skeletons? i think that is what they are called. He was decent challenge to me at 13thf/6war but would have probably kicked my butt. I hope this helps anyone out there looking for a not so difficult however elusive spawn. Good Luck

and we figured why not make it organized?
so we took turns
