According to a paladin in my LS who has an Aegis, he could tell zero damage or other difference when this earring is used in conjunction with relic shield.

i was just wondering if you have multiple items that have the 'Enhances "Shield Bash" effect' is the hate generated by shield bash increase with every piece that enhances the effect?
Yeah, If I got blatantly slapped in the face with some random dudes shield, I'd be pretty pissed to...

I can't believe how few people understand what shield bash is really for.
It exists for 2 reasons:
Interupt spell casting.
Generate Hate.
Who cares if you can stun a mob for 1 second, or 4 seconds? Its not the stun ability that makes shield bash good, its the hate that it generates, and the ability to interupt a spell. Guardian Rings and anything that "Enhances Shield Bash" does not increase the stun time...especially in an xp party, you'll NEVER stun the mob. It increases the amount of hate created when you actually shield bash him. I would only ever macro a Guardian Ring in for your shield bash, and probably this as well since you never try and cast while a mob is hitting you, you always time it (unless you're fighting mnk mobs).

2 mill on Caitsith for this? More than the entire adaman set? I'm sorry, no. I get more use out of my trusty buckler's earring than this thing and that only cost me 200k.

2/5 pieces of adaman are crap anyways.
900k->1 mil->2 mil->3 mil for this earring on Lakshmi now. I want this earring but 3 mil for it is just insane. The entire Adaman set doesn't even cost this much on this server!
It seems... that shield bash is consistantly inturrupting casting without actually Stunning the mob when I have this earring on...

Someone was shouting to sell it for 4.5 million on Midgardsormr last week.
Unless the shield bash enhancement is something VERY special, it is not worth 5,000 gil to a PLD. I assume it will either increase the damage of shield bash, decrease the recast time, increase the lentgth of time the stun it causes sticks or make it add another status effect to the mob when shield bash is used. Note, it is shield bash enhancement, not shield bash +1. Still, not worth more than 5K to a PLD when they could have pigeon, bloodbead, mercenary, cassie, hades earrings etc.
If it added petrify or curse status or something like that, and the status stuck for a while, I might consider putting out 100K for it and macroing it into a shield bash macro, and use it against MNK type beastmen for the spell interruption, but 500K+ is a joke.

A JP PLD on Midgardsormr just bought one for 2.5 mill, he says it increases the length of time that the stun sticks.
I wonder if Shield Bash could be pretty nice with this earring, the Valor Gauntlets, and a Highlander's Targe. Probably going to get a lot more hate out of it that way.

doesn't seem worth it to me
it drops off an NM hippogryph named Imdugud in Riverne-Site #B01... also drops Heavy Lance, which is DRG62, 80dmg, 492delay, Added effect: Weight (and has a hidden effect of dealing "blunt" damage like clubs/staffs)

Well, Riverne - Site #B01 is a level 50-capped area, so I doubt the NM is level 70-ish. Probably closer to 60.

I've got one of these on Titan server and I have found that it's not as useful as it seems. My spells, when I cast incorrectly, are still interrupted everytime. Secondly, the Shield Bash effect's damage has risen just 1 point, BUT I've noticed it induces more hate on the mob. Really, it just gives enmity bonus when usig Shield Bash. This and a Hercules Ring and a Jelly Ring is a pretty good combination for keeping hate when you don't have a DRG to Super Jump to shed hate from a SATA+Cross Reaper/Spinning Slash/Dragon Kick/etc.

I'd have to agree with the level 60 bcnm assumption since it's a lvl 59 earring. Usually bcnm drops are between 0 and 5 levels lower than the cap on the circle. If I'm wrong, someone please tell me. I'd really like to know how to get this earring.

I believe you get this earring from a BCNM60, just like spectacles and the assault earrring. However, I dont know from which one it would be.
You get this by fighting (and defeating) all of the Ark Angels at once I believe...
I think this is rare/EX..could be wrong ^^;

Nope...you are thinking of Knight's earring. That one is the rare/ex that you can choose if you win the Ark Angel 5-way simultaneous battle called "Divine Might." Its one of the hardest battles in the game...some say harder than Kirin.
