in my opinion this helm is'nt that good -_-
you have enchantement provoke and that's kinda good, but then what.....when you've used it 100 times it's just an ordinary helmet with 21DEF only and there's a lot of helmet's that's better then this 1 at lvl 71

Theres are times, when a pld/nin would be awsome. So in some cases this helm id godly.
Bst/nin could use it to tank kirin. its been done, and having provoke make it faster.

I searched for "evil" and this is what I got! XD
This item has a very high chance of dropping off vrtra, but we confirmed today it is not a 100% drop. 2/3 Vrtra we killed dropped it.
Shame ; ; It'd be nice to stockpile on them for PLD/NIN to build hate slightly better in wyrm fights.

Seeker on Phoenix has this. The JP LS Feather killed Vrtra today with like 4 alliances. I heard they got the mareral for the BRD JSE body too.

Yea, I have to admit...someone with this (PLD/NIN) would be able to hold hate well, and take 0 damage for most of the time. Might see a few more of these job combo's to come..you never know :)

Actually, since this item is not deemed as "Rare", you can get 6 of these and have a macro like
/ja "Provoke" <t>
/equip Head "Reviler's helm"
Then wait, 30 seconds (like normal Provoke) and hit it again to voke with the next helm. Once you've gone through all 6 helms, the first one is ready to be used again.
Actually, you'd probably have to switch them manually so you don't equip a helm that isn't ready by mistake. Nonetheless, this can work :P
You do realize that to get 6 of these, you would have to kill Vrtra anywhere from 3-6 times.....how many hours of playtime is that? For an item that's not 100%....

I, as a war have mixed feelings about this item, naturally im glad we wars will no longer be used merely for voke however this will fuel up those bastards that think were worthless, as for the non pld/war combo..../rdm i was watching an uncapped ballista the other day a pld/rdm was taking next to no damage and a rngs slug shot hit him for 150 dmg 0_0 give that combo the full kaiser set and daaaaaaaaaaamn!

This item is dropped off of Vrtra, most likely the hardest HNM in the game.
I'm sorry, but I'm not trusting the word of someone 12 levels too low to even consider fighting an HNM. ^^;

Actually Vrtra is the easiest of the 3 new big *** dragons. What actually makes him so hard to beat is the area SE made him spawn in that is just so bloody awefull. You get tons of Bones that are IT to lev 75s, using blood saber once for em refills their HP to full because of the big number of peoples in the room trying to clear Vrtra.

Everything in the Vrtra Room is Very Tough to 75, not IT. The pops in the room are the least of your worries...
Vrtra has a TP move called Hurricane Wing, which not only hits everybody for 300-500 damage, but puts everyone it hits to sleep. On top of that it regularily uses Sleepga 2, Dispelga, Terror (Freezes your character for a long period of time), Roar (Resets hate on the tanks), Spike Flail (1500-3000 damage to everybody in a large area, used only when hate is f*ed up so bad), Charm (resets hate on tank as well as losing control of that tank for a long period of time), and it summons its own monsters every minute or so.
Vrtra is definately the hardest of the 3. We have beaten all of the CoP wyrms multiple times and I can fairly say that.
