Its not for fishing like you think it is maybe if you didn't geuss and asked like some people did you would have gotten an answer it is GM wear gear and its for see bugs and glitchs catching users botting on crafts and things like that.

Used by GMs to check the fishing system for bugs when one is reported and used just to blow time away while having to deal with something or waiting on something.
Many things submitted by auto-collection have been found to be non-existant. This very well could just be a made up item.

GM's probably have the fishing gear to find out if there are glitches in the finishing system. There forget about it.

GM's don't need to fish to earn money. Nor do they take the tax we pay on the Auction house. They work for SquareEnix. If SquareEnix sounds familiar to you, it's the name of the company that made the game.

Why would a gm want to fish lol. What use is fishing to a gm? Probly to get expinsive fish and sell it and give the gil to there char.

GMs don't use minnows for bait... They hook little tarus onto their lines, and go for the bigger catches.

Ran across this particular item while looking at the list of smn items... How interesting, heh. My guess would be that maybe it's used to test what can be caught where or what monsters can be fished up from what area? *shrugs* Just a stab at the reasoning. ^.^

I would love to see a GM fishing with this. ^^ How good would that be? Walking into Windurst and seeing a man in full blown armor fishing. Ahhhhh... The finer points of FF life. ^^

I've never heard of this item, stumbled across it on item search...
Any idea what it could be for? Where you can get one? Any ideas whatsoever on what it's used for?
EDIT: I found some (somewhat) useful information googling it, this website seems to indicate that there is other fishing gear in the Judge series... could this be GM gear?
