Ok, I'm gonna explain this in steps for the noobs who've posted on this page.
Step One: Go to Dynamis-Bastok, get Relic Axe to drop. Win lot.
Step Two: Go on an insane number of Dynamis runs and obtain 3 Lungo-Nago Jadeshell ancient currency pieces. Obtain 1 Angel Skin, 1 Chronos Tooth, 1 Feather Collar+1. Trade currency and items to Switchstix in Castle Zvahl Baileys. Congratulations! You now own a Leonine Axe.
Step Three: Go on an insane number of Dynamis Runs and obtain more currency, etc etc. Trade Leonine Axe, currency and 1 Tabar, 1 Darksteel Tabar, 1 Tabarzarin to Switchstix. Wait 1 week earth time and return. Congratulations! You now own a a Dynamis Axe.
Step Four: Go on Dynamis-Beaucedine runs until you obtain an Attestation of Bravery. Switchstix transforms your Dynamis Axe into an Ogre Killer.
Step Five: Obtain Runaeic Fragment, run around Vana'diel completing cutscenes. Yada yada, you now own a Guttler.
ALL stages of relic weapons are rare/ex. You cannot wield two. If you toss away your relic weapon at any time, which you'd have to be insane to do since you will have spent months and millions (literally) to obtain each stage you can start over.

The pain it will induce. The horrrieing destruction it would cast upon all its foes. Destroyer of mobs.
Onslaught is a 3 hit weapon skill, and looks like it would do dark damage.

Just imagine a lvl 75 BST/NIN with a Guttler and a Juggernaut (+50 attack + Onslaught), also with a Jug Of Sun Water (brings Amigo Sabotender, a cactaur) and the BST uses sic and Amigo Sabotender uses 1,000 needles for 1,000 points of damage or more (this also can penetrate Blink, Stoneskin, Protect, Shell and any other defense spell) also the BST can use Utsusemi: Ichi and Utsusemi: Ni so you can't touch him/her... This combo with these weapons are unbeatable in Ballista. If you can't think of anything that can beat this rate me up plz =P

Yeah that combo would be Uber, if you didn't overlook one thing SE decided that Dual-weilding relic weapons would be far too great, so you can't. Just imagine if you could equip one relic with a Kraken club, you'd gain TP like crack and attack like you were on PCP
You can dual weild Relic weapons.
Discordian tested this with his excalibur and a kraken club. Said he did more damage with just the sword, as the Club attacked so much the sword didn't get to hit as often.

add ochiudo's kote and you have... TADA! +70 attack! O.o

ochuido's kote can only be used by mnk, sam, nin. none of which can use this axe. so how do you get a bst to equip thes gauntlets. >.>
Best ATT hands would be Spiked Finger Gauntlets (+12 ATT) not exactly O.Kote, but pretty good.
onslaught is a weapon skill that can only be used with ogre killer and guttler. Ogre killer allows you to do the ws only in dynamis, while the guttler lets you do it anytime. And it is the ultimate axe relic weapon.
onslaught is the Weapon skill i believe which makes this the Relic weapon.

If the quest is repeatable you could dual wield one of these with the ogre axe, which is quite similar in power.
It also will cost you 10 mil to get one, and who knows if the quest it repeatable. ><

I realize this is now 7 years later past the last post but, with today's cost the Guttler is now attainable with an estimated 135million gil. This is with coin prices on Quetzy. and in March of 2012. Prices change constantly but hopefully, this will help people plan it out if they want one.
