as many of you have been questioning, zinc ore CAN be bought by an NPC.

the goldsmiths guild in bastok sells it on ONE DAY a week only. im not sure if the day changes, or its set and if it is set im not sure which day it is. it usually costs about a little less than silver, 200-250 ish. for those too lazy to farm for the tenshodo quest come here. if anyone knows which day it is exactly please do tell.

i have seen it on sale twice so far so i have proof it is sold.

The way the Guild shops work is simple. They have a set amount of inventory. Each day it restocks a set number of items. In the cooking guild for example, it restocks 12 Mhara Garlic each day before it opens. That is why you see people crowding the guild early in the morning. Once it is sold out, it's sold out. People can sell stuff to the guild and it will immediately become available.

I'm pretty sure if someone sells Zinc ore to an NPC in Bastok it will show up for sale in the guild the next day.

the day that it is on sale changes, i've found it there on lightning day and fire day so far. it also seems to sell out really fast (1 hour game time) so theres usually a bunch of people waiting there every morning.

Question.. i'm in need of Tenshodo fame. The Zinc Ore Quest is what most people are saying to do. Problem is that im too lazy to kill these worms for 100+ zinc ore's. Which would be the fastest way other than buying off auction house for 400 gil ea. Should i buy pickaxe for 250g ea. and mine for them in Zehrun Mines with 0 goldsmith skill and a few +mining equipment. Or will i be breaking pickaxe's too much and end up spending around the same price as if i were to buy them all off the Auction House. ??? I checked the guild shop and saw no zinc ore's. somebody posted somewhere that they were for sale there at certain time's but i didnt see $#@%. can i buy zinc ore's from any npc's?

goldsmith has nothing to do with mining it and in zerhun you will find alot of zince and iron ore,even tho copper and pebels are suppsodly the most common there not,i find arouind 13zinc ore and 12iron ore with 12 pickaxes

Does Mhaura Goldsmithing Guild sell this ore? If not why not lol. You gotta spend some fat cash to get enough fame for tenshodo ninja scrolls. Why not make it easy and sell em for cheap at guilds. Anyways my question is can you buy these anywhere other than the Ah?

theres a quest in bastok mines out of warehouse 2
theres an NPC named Talib who will give you 350 gil for 4 zinc ores. + tenshodo fame

...Right... copper... I'll just ignore the fact that you can buy them for 4g each at the Goldsmith's Guild ALL THE TIME. Since once I bought a pickaxe at 120g, i'd say you could get about 30 this way other than like ... 4 (Don't yell at me o^_^o) by mining them- you choose.

Zinc ore is fairly easy to obtain while mining in the Zeruhn Mines. If you're looking to make a profit, they sell nicely at the AH for about 400 gil.

zinc is a corner stone to make brass, getting the copper is easy, you can actually buy this from vendors, but i have yet to see a vendor sell zinc. there has got to be an easeir way to make brass, other wise they would be worth allot more.

depending on supply and demand, the goldsmith guild does, in fact, sell zinc ore in the shop.
not too sure what makes it happen exactly, but everytime i pass the goldsmith guilds around 8 AM (game time), i check. 'cept of course, ice day when its closed

the worms in the zeruhn mines drop it alot. i just kill them for fun and get zinc ores, how nice. usually come out in about 10minutes with about 4-5 zinc

Once in a blue moon the worms will drop silver ore too. It's not considered a rare item, but it is a rare drop for them.

I've seen this happen, but it went to someone who was in the party for a few minutes. Didn't really matter, it's worth about as much as zinc sometimes.

Tunnel Worms and Rock Eaters drop Zinc Ore - Rock Eaters are slightly more likely to drop it, but only slightly.

Almost all the worm creatures (Tunnel Worms, Stone Eaters, Rock Eaters, Dirt Eaters, Land Worms, Maze Makers, etc.) will drop these, but Zinc Ore is rathar uncommon compared to Copper Ore & Flint.
