wanted to add (even though its likely in the quest area connected to this item description) that in order to activate the quest "Brigid the Stylist Returns" you must first do the first Brigid quest, then speak to her WITH A PIECE OF ARTIFACT ARMOR ON!!!!

Meaning, even though all the armors acquired through subligars are lv.50, you must be level 52 at least in order to do this quest. Now, you can speak to her as as lv75 whatever and request the armor of another job, no connection there. But don't think you'll be getting it on your first job for right when you ding 50. Its just flat out impossible by the requirements of the quest.

***EDIT*** spelling error ^^

Well, even though your post is from five years ago, only God RDM's brought this with them to exp with back in the day when it was available to only them. +Skill>everything else and this is one of the best pieces of body armor a RDM can wear before they get their AF tabard, and even then, it still has its uses.

If an RDM showed up in your party wearing this from levels 52-58, you knew you have just acquired a player that gives a sh*t about exp for the entire group, and not just him/herself.

In any situation in which you are casting. -.-

It's the best body piece for RDM from 50 to 58.

I would have read "50 to 58" as 'until 58', at which point the Warlock's Tabard wins hands down for enfeebling.

Regardless of how you'd read it, I think the intention of that reply was clear.

ok just wanted to give a suggestion to those who think you need to take massive amounts of forces down to the sacrarium to whip fomors into submission:

Take a BST or SMN. The BST can use their pet to pull or a SMN can pull with Carbuncle, virtually eliminating the typically 100% guaranteed linking "parties" of fomors.

I spent 3 very successful hours of doing this strictly in the spot where there are 3 RDM fomors all close (you camp the stairs leading into one of the library rooms- 2 in there- and one in the hallway). Our BST just grabbed some bats from the library rooms and started pulling them. Never once did we get a link, and no one died.

Pary was a simple 4 man group:

RDM/BLM (me)
BST/WHM
PLD/WAR
NIN/WAR

that's it. Easy, well paced kills. Although because of all the debuffing/dispelling and curing that I had to do, I did pull hate regularly- Stoneskin is a VERY smart idea here.

Sadly, all this efficient safe killing only netted one BLM subligar (we were paced so we would kill the 3 RDMs, then one random one and the first RDM fomor would repop).
Nice armor

Only recently decided to get off my lazy *** and work on getting this thing. Its simply unbeatable for 50 cap battles, (of which there are plenty in CoP) as well as equip-swapping at later levels for Dark/Elemental magic skill. So yeah, this is high on my list of priorities at the moment. Once I obtain this marvellous piece of equipment I'll be twice as happy to enter these level capped zones and put my life on the line.

Don't be fooled into thinking that high level means this equipment isn't for you. Equip swapping is a RDM's best friend, and there is always a situation that calls for a little boost to your spell accuracy. Enjoy ^^

This armor is one of the best RDM pieces to have available, even after you get your Warlock's Tabard. Why? Because as all you competent RDM's are already aware, we live and die by the gear-swap macro.
I am level 70 and I still swap this in for nukes/MB's. I haven't looked ahead to determine when a better piece will be available to us RDM's for that purpose; there may not be one for all I know. I can say, however, that during the span from 50-70 this is the ultimate RDM (nuke/MB) body piece.

Shaman's Cloak.

actually shaman cloak isnt better because of the bonus you have to take away from the pimp hat to equip the cloak...
This Armor has halted my leveling ><
# Aug 21 2005 at 8:16 PM Rating: Decent
I want this armor so bad. I have halted all leveling until I can complete the Promyvion's, so I can gain access to the CoP areas involved with the quest. My rdm is 52 atm, and I'm using my smn to complete the promyvion's.

So far it's not going too good as I have won Mea, but have failed to beat the bosses at Holla, and Dem.

I could continue on w/o this armor. Do my AF's and Genkai's and such. But I just want it. The Tact. Magician's Coat is just butt ugly, and is totally inferior to the Glamor Jupon. The additional 1 point of int/mnd from the coat sucks to the +3 skills all the way around.

Wither your subbing whm or blm, there is so much benefit that either sub can use from this. And it can be macroed in after recieving the Warlocks Tabard for drain and aspir spells. Oh and 50 cap BCNM's and missions. <Can I have it?>

Totally awesome JSE, and I will not rest until it is mine.

Edit: Just wanted to add that I finally initiated this quest and was asked to wear a Raptor Jerkin Lv.48 and White Slacks Lv.50. I kept the slacks just to sport around town =P

Just wanted to share that the Red Mage Fomor drops are pretty good, I was able to get the Scorpius Subligar with little sweat... well, when you have an army with you that is. To get quest, I had to wear the Frost Robe and Wool Hose... Brygid has odd taste.

That could be fine if someone post the <pos> of the fomor rdm that drops the subligar to get this jupon.

Tnx guys!

I got mine tonight fighting the RDM,PLD,SAM party in Phomiuna.

SMN, RNG, MNK, MNK, DRK, RNG, RDM, WHM(me), NIN

RDM tried to ES + Sleep the PLD, but it was a no go. We had the NIN tanking the SAM, a MNK tanking the RDM and the other MNK tanking the PLD. RDM was obviously the first to go down, lol... and I nearly shat(is that even a word?) a brick when I saw the subligar drop. They (I'm honestly not sure which one of them did it) have a NASTY AOE spell which they spam close to death, it killed me, the RDM and one of the MNKs.

My suggestion? Either take two full parties, with a WHM in each, plus a tank for each fomor. If we had had all of these things, I'm pretty sure none of us would have died. Oh... and make sure you look to see if it drops during battle and lot IMMEDIATELY, so if you die... you still get it :D

Well after a month of tryin I finally got my scorpius subligar & in turn the Glamor Jupon I agree that this looks like it should be rng. I was lucky enough to get a libra subligar hte one for the Cerise doublet also.. The doublet looks like it was made for rdm.... It took a ally of 10 to get the 3 fomor pt of RDM,SAM, & PLD done, w/ deaths of one of the WHM & the NIN tank, but only one fight others we were good, it took us 3 fights to get 2 scorpius subligar..... If u are on Titan sever & need help w/ this look me up I will go as whm/blm.. Char name Tibent..
Thanks to PLiny & Aroen for help on this much appreciated

I do belive Grayfoxx got his Ninja JSE last night to. Check it out on the Seraph server.
