possible to do it by your own

Way to get this map on your own:
*** Remeber to Bring Invisble powder and Silent oil.
*** Please read www.ffxi-atlas.com while reading this. So, you won't get confused.
*** Use this method only if the gate at E7 is not altered by Firesand. The E-7 gate should be blocking your way to E-8 if you enter newton at D-6.

1)Enter Oldton Movalpolos
2)run all the way to E-13 and talk to Twinbrix. Trade $200 gil to him the first time. Most of the time you will win. Then, trade $2000 to him the 2nd time.
3)Twinbrix warps you to Mine Shaft #2716.
4)Exit Mine Shaft #2716 and back to NewTon Movalpols.
5)Run straight to G-8 and drop off to lower level. Don't worry about the gate at J-8 as it will not block your way.
6)Run all the way to E-8 and exit to Oldton Movalpolos.
7) You will arrive the ledge where the treasure chest mostly sitting at.
8) Congratulation!!

So, you think I got the map at this moment? sadly..NO. I ran out of invisible powder and was killed 3 steps away to the exit. /cry Can someone raise me? lol

Ok from what I gather. In order to get to the ledge that spawns the treasure chest you need to enter newton and manipulate those gates by giving firesand to the furnace levers.

That's just a guess but I bet its the right one.
For those of you that don't know. the chest can be seen in the room with Moblin Ashman on the left side.
chest pop?

I was running around with a couple friends of mine, just killing and farming. Being bored mostly. We killed a lot of Goblins (Hammerman, Freelance, and shovelman too (i think)) and also Bugbear Bondman. I can't remeber exactly which mob dropped the keys when we got them. I tried checking my chat log and the drops were not listed. Anyway, I looked up the chest pop points on killingifrit and used my compass to guide me around. Finally found the chest. Now i'm wondering if anyone may know the approximate pop time between chests. Can anyone help me out?
Hope i gave good info and that it may help you in your adventures. <Take care.> <See you again.> ^^

This map is indeed found in the Oldton treasure chest. Key mobs that I know of are bombs and bugbear bondsman. I'm sure there are more but these are the two I've gotten keys from. I've heard the Rodman also drop keys but I haven't actually gotten a key from one so I can't confirm it.

Then why didn't you submit it? You can't have an accurate database if you don't check it to make sure that items have been submitted.
