LMAO! I love how it seems like on the latest threads, people only talk about the Vit Bonus on these... You know, thats nice, but yeah, lets completely ignore the fact that this gives MORE ACC bonus than both the MUCH more expensive Sole Sushi and Dorado sushi! If you are a war, the STR+5 from sole is WAY overrated, I noticed NO difference in my rampage and Decimation dmg while using sole over Bream sushi. I suggest tryign both, checkign thoroughly and parsing if you can and see what you come up with... I noticed I did more DoT with bream, but not a LOT, but that extra 1% acc bonus DOES make a difference. And at 75, that 1% is probably greater than a pair of snipers rings. Your skill lvl with the weapon you are using LARGELY makes up your acc, not just dex (which actually only plays more of a small bonus role), and an A+ weapon caps ~270. Food for thought...
# Apr 13 2007 at 5:16 AM Rating: Decent
...and on top of that, the DEX+, as opposed to the STR+, gives accuracy also
# Aug 14 2006 at 2:27 PM Rating: Decent
i use this for sam and skillup parties as 75 blm and its way better than the way overrated sole sushi which i think sux and id never buy. if i wanted to hit harder id go with something like yellow curry or hedgehog pies not that sushi crap
great for mnk/war
# Mar 06 2006 at 8:38 AM Rating: Decent
This food is awesome for mnk/war, im a 59mnk/29war, i dont use this too much only when i run out of chiefkabobs, but from wut i found it works great gives + to vit, which is great for Chakra as we all kno and also helps wit acc. A great all around food for any DD and melee (except pld and nin)
To Tucker
# Dec 25 2005 at 2:28 AM Rating: Decent
Because Tuck, VIT does other things on top of DEF. :) It also lowers the max damage you can take, like how STR raises ATT but also raises MIN. damage that can be dealt.

Actually, after going around the web and getting quoted info straight from SE, different stats affect jobs and their abilities/ weapon skills. For example, THF with SA = DEX multiplier, TA = AGI multiplier, so mroe of the stat = more damage. For some monk abilities (or maybe all, I wouldnt doubt it) they have VIT multipliers, especially for most of their weapon skills. If you see a MNK/THF using this (for accruacy bonuses and SA most likely) this food is great because SA's dex multiplier is much lower and the VIT also helps with the MNK's regular skills, let alone the accuracy + is pretty sweet. There is undoubtly better food than this, im sure, but for 40+ MNK's the cost of this food is pretty good isntead of spending much more money on some minor differences.
ALso, if you didnt get it by reading my post, this isnt the best tank food. Tanks usually use taco's (tavnazian if i remember correctly), different crab foods, and also fish kabobs.
Just my 2 cents

PS: My highest job is 54WHM on Kujata and 32 THF on Odin, and ive only lvled MNK to as high as 8. Im not an expert, just what I see that makes sense.
# Mar 23 2006 at 10:44 PM Rating: Decent
Dex and Agi don't effect SATA if the THF is a sub. You'll only get a 1.5 dmg boost and 100% acc from SA and the tank making power of TA which will be just like a normal hit but you can stick hate.
#REDACTED, Posted: Nov 15 2005 at 5:30 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) All I have to say is wow. Some people really dont know what they are talking about. Why on earth would someone take 5 Vit which gives a small amount of defense (not sure on this but I think it's 1 defense for every 1 Vit, again not sure but correct me if I'm wrong) over I don't know like a 15% defense boost. At only 200 defense that is a 30 point boost in defense vs. somewhere under 10 defense. Now I'm pretty sure a 3 year-old could figure this one out. Last time I checked someone with +30 defense will get hit for less than someone with +10 defense. Just to end this you guys are freaking retards.

A) one VIT = 2 defence.
B) VIT = multiplier for many mnk abilities.
C) this is DD food, not tank food.
# Apr 28 2007 at 1:26 PM Rating: Decent
correction: two VIT = 1 defence

This is a must have for tanking of any lvl.

would be nice if you had somewhat of a clue of what you were talking about. No way is this better than a handful of foods for pld, or ninja. Curries, tacos, salads, hell even crab is better than this for tanking.

The quintessential tank food :)

Yeah, because youre an uber l33t tank right?

This is a must have for tanking of any lvl. It has the same acc bonus as the +1 of squid and sole, and a stack of these +1 is sooo hard to get on valefor. The quintessential tank food :)

I always sigh at people who will pay the stupid price for sole +1's and say they do it for acc, when Squid is 1/4 the price and bream +1's have more acc..

This is a more then poor choice for a tank.

PLD: stick to taco, fishkabob etc. ACC or not, a PLD completely S-U-X in dealing dmg so. Also almost ALL DEF food also add VIT.

NIN: VIT, yeah. . .take Dorado (+enmity) or squid sushi (+agi) over this any day. AGI helps with almost every defensive ability and Enmity helps you covering the enmity distance to a war or pld.

WAR: Sole sushi or PLD tank food (def+vit). It's 1 or the other depending on what you fight and what your pt has.
RE: Tankers
# Aug 30 2005 at 6:47 PM Rating: Decent
Well the people that pay the price for sole +1 enjoy dealing more damage along with hitting more often as it adds strength instead of vit, it is much better for any DD to use sole over bream.
RE: Tankers
# Aug 15 2005 at 10:16 PM Rating: Decent
I dont think a tank should use this food, while yes, VIT+5 is nice and the added acc. will help them keep hate, Tav. taco's or boiled crab is much better. Those foods add a huge Def% aswell as VIT.
# Aug 11 2005 at 12:16 PM Rating: Decent
This is a pretty sweet tank food. Helps keep hate with good accuracy and has the VIT + 5 and its not too expensive like sole is.

I heard some food has less of an effect at lower levels. Is this one? (using it on Drk)
hidden effects
# Aug 01 2005 at 5:37 PM Rating: Decent
someone told me there were hidden effects on this:

When using hand-to-hand ACC + more than the 15%

Can anyone prove this?
# Jul 27 2005 at 1:30 AM Rating: Decent
ima try all of the sushi's, see which works best for RNG. Squid works fantastic for NIN and THF

# Aug 04 2005 at 4:45 AM Rating: Decent
Squid will be your best bet for ranger as well since it is the only sushi that gives an agility boost

Seems like a good food for DRKs, given their tendency to miss.

might be good tank food
# May 23 2005 at 10:19 AM Rating: Decent
seems like it would be excellent for tanking if you put on some high def body armor (IM instead of gaia) and wore phalanx rings, and tanked with defender up to cover the loss of, say shallops def bonus. Seems like this therefore would be excellent food for some o the poorer pld's out there, since phalanx are a LOT cheaper than vigor. Still I dont think this comes up to the bar of Tav tacos or salad, and not really even up to shallops. Still, might have to try it tonight... as i've got +4 enmity, the 14% added acc from this might be a good thing.... it also might let me swap my war's +1 back in instead of the life belt. I'll post results, see how many times i die from gettin hit way too hard ><

All i can tell really is that it adds dex+6 Vit+5 and 2 def, don't know about the others. +acc seems fair as all the sushis seem to have that, the others i can't vouch for personaly.

On a side note, This is about half as expensive as squid and 1/3 expensive as sole on gilgamesh right now.

I don't think everyone entirely knows the stats on these. I've read 3 other sites that say:

Resist Sleep
RA Boost

Um, Squid is still better for RNG. +5 AGI = 2.5 RACC, +5 VIT is basicly useless unless you're a tank or a MNK (but I still think sole would be better for MNK)
