The only ****** is you, SE and this non-updated info. I was making these things thinking I would skill up to 97. When I wasnt getting any skillups, I checked and read the thread. Sometimes I dont read the thread and just read the list on the guild recipes. If the info isnt updated, how is any one a tard for asking a legit question, even though the info is in this thread? Keep the name calling to your mirror and think before you speak. Yes he should have read the info, but perhaps in a panic as seeing the info asked the question emmediately before reading. If this kind of thing gets on your nerves, you need to look in the mirror and stop getting pissed off at the small things.

I'm glad I was able to skill up to 97 before the change. I'm just sorry for the people that were not able to. Maybe they will make some other changes to make it easier to get to 100. One can always hope:-)

Brain Stew until 96, you can catch yellow globes with 0 fishing with a taru rod and a sabiki rig and the king truffles are fairly easy to farm(all be it a tad slow) from killer mushrooms in teh CN. After 96 though, you're still hozed by either cursed soup or red curry. >.<

well thanks to SE for the goddamn change in cap. not only does it not make sense for the salads to be higher than the tacos, but this was apparently so people could HQ these cheap to make tacos more. lotta good that does us, the HQ tacos arent any better than the NQ ones. so...what? i gess we do salads till 92 and then do...ummmm...Rice Dumplings and Cursed Soup? i can see lots of less people going for 100 cooking now, might as well give up at 92

LOL how are people supposed to get to 97 in coooking now?
Hmm lets see?
The only options I can see now are Black curry/Tonosama rice ball to 94, rice dumpling to 95 provided you can get your hands on a good supply of coral fungus. After that everything seems to contain dragon meat (drops from KS battles are far as I know that costs 80-100k per meat.) or King Truffles. (Drop from Killer mushrooms in Crawlers Nest. Drop rate is poor but I more or less get 1 truffle per hour. Bst's like to lvl off them and they only tend to spawn in one area.)

I understand that people want a better chance at HQ for tacos but in the past this was a good way to help cooks lvl skill to 97.
All the other recipes that are listed have ingredients that are pretty difficult to get hold of.
If you have lvlled cooking up on a mule as I did, farming for royal jelly to make cursed soup seems pretty much out of the question so things are going to get pretty expensive the closer I get to 100. (Currant skill:93)

Info in the guild recipe lists needs to be updated on this site.

Real Cap
# Apr 01 2006 at 7:47 PM Rating: Decent
The real cap on Tavnazian Tacos is 81.

With 94 cooking I had gotten no skills on 36 synths, so I asked around and many people say it is indeed 81.

Error on Tavnazian Taco Cap Lvl
# Feb 22 2006 at 6:19 PM Rating: Decent
I was skilling so I decided to try this craft, looks pretty to skill with salad and taco at the same time, 90 cook lvl, but I get confused, another web site show this as 81 lvl cap. Any way I did my salad and when I started on Tacos, damn, no skill, even a HQ.
I found this recipe listed on Adept lvl, so I dont know if this is really 81 cap or not, but definitly this is NOT a lvl 97 cap.

I wanted to post this info trying to help this site. It has been my source info since 2 years ago.

I was able to break even on these synths by making my own Salads and selling on Jeuno AH. How many other crafts have an easy to make level 90 skillup synth that breaks even?

The other alternative was Sweet Rice Cakes, which is a total gilsink considering the outrageous prices on the Mugwort.

Yeah, this is REALLY going to anger a lot of aspiring cooks, because this was the ONLY good recipie for getting to 97. I'm definately glad I booked it to 97 after the anouncment a couple weeks ago. Price wise, I'm not sure what will happen. They may go down, but if they cap in the 80's, no one's going to skill-up on these anymore since there are much cheaper options (i.e. pumpkin and rolanberry pies... breaking the salad hurts) So the supply may get lower and the price may actually increase. Of course, now we might actually see more Leremieu Tacos... I also have to wonder why the salad cap wasn't changed AFAIK, since for every other recipie the craftable ingrediants cap lower than the end result.
hmm

these went from 40k to 100k in a week.... its a darn nice food but I would cry a little if I had to pay 100k. Time to check out a decent alternative I guess.

consider a lv 97 capped synth simple.

I was also trying to skill up on these but didn't... instead i hq'ed 3 stacks of 12 and then 2 sets of 6 Leremiu tacos... Pretty nice, but I was expecting skill up ; ; My cooking is 93
RE: HQ on these?
# Nov 09 2005 at 6:57 PM Rating: Decent
Yes, HQ is a stack of tacos. I got 2 HQ in my 1st 24 synths and my cooking is 95.8 +2 atm. Also (on Ifrit) if you make the salad, you can get a ~4k+ profit per stack. I know getting all the ingredients can be a {Bee}tch, but hey if you make it yourself (and don't break it or get a HQ ) you can make 2 salads for about the price of 1 salad from Jeuno AH.

sry but i dont want false info out there. CHr does help pld and nin but not the way u say it. chr helps keep hate for a longer time it doesnt increase the amount of hate in anyway. It only keeps the hate u gain from ur spells and such for a longer time.

My understanding is that this isn't correct either...CHR doesn't affect hate, it simply affects light-based job abilities and traits and how often/how powerfully they kick in (and that may only be for JA's that are affected by CHR/Light). It may make your Provoke more powerful (in that instance by generating more hate), but that is different from saying that it gives your spells and JA's more hate in general. If it increases the power of Shield Bash for instance, it would increase the chance of stunning your enemy and the duration of the stun; not the hate generated by the move.

I was just making these, through about half the stack of materials, I finally reached 97 Cooking. YAY. Well anyways, i decided to finish up the stack of materials, and i saw the HQ graphics of the crystal. Was like uh oh, ended up getting 12 tacos instead of 6 -_-, was hoping to get maybe +1 or somethin, but least we know it has HQ now.

I just used this food for the whm maat fight and it shot my defense through the roof. Seems like a great food anytime you're going to get wailed on. Poor ole maat probably thought he was fighting a pally.
Get 'em while you can ...

I have a feeling these are so cheap right now because of the mad rush of chefs who were previously stuck at 95 cooking (myself included) were trying to unload the massive amounts they made for skilling up (i was too). If you look at the cost for Tavnazian salad on your server, the price of a stack of these will even out to something close to double the salad price when the skill-up rush is over.
Nice food

Is it just me or is it weird that you have to essentially be a master chef in order to turn some tortillas, salad and salsa into a taco? D:
RE: gormet tacos? D=
# Apr 04 2005 at 4:19 PM Rating: Excellent
These are no ordinar tacos. These are gifts from the gods. These tacos are the answers to paladins' prayers for a powerful food that won't cost alot b/c dying. Only the bests of chefs can make these tacos of godliness.

off note: master chef looks alot like master chief. A gun wielding, baker????

OH GOOD LORD THESE RULE FOR BST. In fact, they rule for just about anything. Sweet as *** food, too bad i can't make if for another 60 some lvls of cooking =/. {Cooking} 32 {I'm Sorry}. Alot cheaper than I thought they would be, too! \(^_^)/
