In case anyone cares the NQ desynth is silver thread x1. Prices got ****** enough on nq (40-50k) on pandy I figured I'd give it a shot. Maybe next time I do a run of braconi I'll see if they can give the leather back on HQ breaking >.>
These are the sexiest pants EVER on my Mithra. Combined with Cardinal Vest and the AF Hat I literally cream my pants.
Also, what time is it? HAMMER TIME (to echo a previous post)
But anyway, I was talking to a very very good 75rdm friend of mine. He said that he uses magic acc gear vs. gods or high NM/HNM for debuffs, but in party his resist rate is so low (T/VT mobs, he says less than 2% resist rate) that the +mnd or +int is better from errant slops which make the debuff more potent are a better option. I plan on using these pants till 75 and whenever im in town for the latent effect of hawtness+3.
Now onto more serious matters. I'm wondering how effective the Magic Accuracy stat really is. The most commonly accepted theory on normal Accuracy is that 2 DEX is equal to 1 Accuracy. Now if this is true I could only assume that 2 MND and 2 INT is equal to 1 Magic Accuracy, in which case, the Errant's slops would be better (in party situations anyway).
In any case I'm 1 lvl away from equipping these, so I suppose I will have to get both these and Errant's slops and run some tests. I just hope they turn out to be worth the 800k they are on Garuda.
Like I've said about most of this gear, it's not all it's chalked up to be. The magic accuracy is nice, but how often do you need it? I am sorry to say that you wont be doing much nuking, enfeebling yes, but get a enfeebling torque and you should not have a problem. Plus this crap is expensive. Check out Errants D:

Posted:Mar 17 2005 at 11:50 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) yes magic accuracy is sort of like a resistance to the spell casted by the rdm, but it increases the about of damage a rdm can do with elemental spells, and yes it is a form of elemental seal. but i think elemental seal increases the element spell casted to it's full potential of damage. (roughly 100%)
Accuracy is accuracy. Not damage. Magic accuracy determines whether your spell is resisted or not, nothing more. Other factors (such as INT, MND and skill) determine the damage/degree of enfeebling and length of enfeebling.
Anyone who has spent any amount of time nuking knows that elemental spells can be resisted. Even in dunes, i'd see a spell do 50, 50, 25, 50, 8, 50, etc.
Cast elemental seal (increase accuracy of next spell) before one and i'd never see anything but 50 for that particular spell.
So the short answer is that you're half right. No, this won't increase damage directly, but it will decrease the number of times your spell is resisted. It won't increase your damage potential, but will help you reach it more often. This is important to RDM because:
1) They have lower elemental skill than BLM and would get resisted more on nukes. 2) They are the best enfeeblers of the game, and sticking an enfeeb on the first cast saves time and MP.
I suspect it will lower the amount of times your spells are resisted. Take elemental seal for example, the description of it says it enhances the accuracy of your next spell. So I think, this has an effect like that of elemental seal.
Finally the RDM has some JSE(RDM only) besides the lvl 50 gear and AF1/2.....thank you SE....know RDM needs a set that isn't the same lvl range as AF1/2
