I can confirm that they can drop more that 1 Phuabo organ. Just got 2.
A Blm friend of mine wanted to do some Duo'ing... So, we headed out to Sea (Al'taieu) to kill a bunch of Om'phuabo's. He said that the best xp he's gotten was out in the far western seas. So, we headed out there and started killing..
To my surprise, the drop rate for Phuabo organs in the "shark tank" was like 70%-80%. It was crazy. We probably got an organ every 2 or 3 kills. (Nothing interested about the moon phase either.. around 41%) Both of us were Blm/Rdm.
We weren't really trying, but we were able to get up to xp chain 4 for around 280.. We did have cookies with us though..

Yes, you can trade any of the NQ Lumoria organ drops to the NPC next to Yurim after you have done the In the Name of Science quest and the NPC will give you 99 Virtue Stones. I didn't try trading a HQ organ.
I was going to toss some Phuabo Organs, so I figured I would try it. After that, I toss the 99 Virtue Stones. I doubt if I will be able to get any of the cool Sea gods weapons that actually use these Stones any time soon. I can also farm organs pretty easily..

I don't believe that information is fully accurate. It appears that there are 7 virtues and 7 sins. I am not sure if you need both or only virtues to get the virtue stone... However, it will most likely take alot more time for people to figure that one out...

this organ is used for a quest in Tavnazia called in the name of science.
You need to trade a bunch of organs to Yurim and he will give you a belt or gorget.
The belt will give you full elemental benefit of each day, in otherwords, usually on ice day, ice spells will get 10% bonus damage occasionally... now with the belt that 10% bonus will occur constantly on ice days IF YOU HAVE THE ICE BELT.
The reward for the quest is one elemental belt, fire, ice, water, etc etc...
The GORGET is cooler, it increases your WS accuracy AND damage. Problem with this is, it reqiures an organ from an NM that has aoe charm. Nevertheless, the NM can be taken down from a party of 6 75's though, just takes a while and a little kiting... in fact when my party did it, we had no tank... 1 rng, blm, 2 rdm, sam, mnk.
Oh there was a 7th person but i dont consider him a pt member since our party leader betrayed us and invited him just so he can take the NM drop... he said we needed 20 orgrans ( a complete lie, just so he can pursuade my other pt members from lotting on it - and at the time i actually believed him since i thought i knew him) when all you need is 1 OR 2 NM organs depending on the gorget you choose... all the other organs are easily obtainable from normal mobs - which you will need several of.
You need a bunch of different organs... Phuabo Organ is just one of them that drops from a normal mob.

See, this is actually a musical instrument, not an organ from it's body. You can blow on it and it makes pretty noises.
You don't blow on organs. You play them similiar to a piano, and use pumps to suply air. They do make pretty noises though^_^
