ive also had a great many problems with this ring tried warping to outpost in meriphataud but windy (my country) wasnt in control so i tried zi'tah (under windy control) zilch so i tried valkurm also under windy control and i did the supply quest for and still nada wtf why doesnt it frigging work SE needs to explain some shiat when they implement it instead of just saying "Meh, they should be smart enough to figure it out. If not, who cares?"

This item stinks if your country is consistantly in last place. -.-

This is now available by using 2500 Conquest Points. It is listed under "Common Items (All Ranks)", and it was in my list even though my nation was last place in the conquest standings.

Homing Ring costs 9000 CP.

(If Return Ring and Homing Ring are the same, only Homing gives 30 charges while Return only gives 10, then why would anyone buy the Homing Ring? It's 1500 CP more than just buying 3 Return Rings.) <.<

Rare, so there for you can only have one. But i agree, all you really need is one. And i would go with the cheaper.

Ok, do you have to have done the supply quest for the region you use the ring in? I just got my Vollbow Region supplies, and I went to Valkurm Dunes -> Gustav Tunnel and tried to use it. It got to 8% or so and quit. So I thought, maybe it doesn't work in a dungeon, so I zone to Cape Terrigan, the zone that has the outpost itself, and try to use it... Nada... I'm Windurstian and Windy is in control of the region at the time I'm posting this, so I don't understand why it won't work.
A welcome addition to CP

Aparently these are now going to be available for CP purchase (maybe under common items) in the July update. Personally this is great :) If you get a party invite or have to go to sky or something this is awesome since the price of the chocobos are now skyrocketing into the 4-5k range.. even during the day.. and the outpost teleports are a static price!
O_O +1?
# Jun 11 2005 at 2:18 PM Rating: Decent
i got the +1 of that ring.. it has 30/30 charges >_>; that's all.
I concur

I have to agree that your nation has to be in control of the region. I have yet to get my Homing ring to activate, and I don't really want to waste a charge just to port to the outpost in west ronfare(sp). But I have tried to warp in a region the wasn't under my nation's control and the completion time went to like 7% and quit... I have found that there HAS to be an outpost in the region. I was trying to skip closer to Fei'yen from rangemont pass and I couldn't do it, just went to 7% again and quit... sux... Having a hard time makin it out there by myself to finish up my last teleport quest. So no skipping to a "Waypoint" as I call them. Would be kewl tho... skip all the way out to delkfutt's tower from jeuno ^^. Oh well, there's my 2 cents worth of info on the latest event Rings.

I used this while leveling BRD in Valkrum, and all it did was teleport me to the Outpost. It didn't work in San d'Oria, so I'm not sure exactly how it works. I have done the Supply Quest for regional teleportaion to Valkrum, so I don't know if that's required to use this ring, or if you Home Nation has to be in control of the area. The only real useful thing I would use this ring for is for teleporting across zones with aggro that can kill you at lower levels (eg. Getting to the Outpost in Qufim and skip dodging all the Giants, Worms, and Weapons) If someone could clarify this, it would be awesome.

This ring folks will teleport you to the Outpost in the region you are currently in. Rumour has it only if your country controls that region also so yea. Im trying to get this still :(
