I swear SE invented this with the intention of SMN soloing Prime Avatars.
Edit: Finally got mine to drop, found a really good Solo ENM video on youtube and was able to do it w/o 2HR or any items.

I just got this, it's kick *** and Sooooo bragging rights.
wow.....just wow.... pug on crack, meet avatar on astral pot!!! tho the name does kinda speak for the effect of it.... smoke the whole thing at once, and you'll be seeing stars. and if you could craft it...they'd probably name the HQ Astral Hash... on a serious note tho...wtf is wrong w/ SE putting **** like this in FFXI and expecting ppl to make use of it when the avatars DONT HAVE MAGICAL ATTACKS?!?!?! if i got something like this....i'd take it to the n00blands outside windy and make some n00bs laugh that when they hit 60, they can kill monsters by throwing drugs in porcelain vases at them... way to go SE design team for putting lethal throwing pot in FFXI!

Just so you know, every single avatar that a summoner uses has at least 1 magical attack(being their 2hr). But almost all have multiple, such as the teirII/IV nukes, merrited blood pacts, and nether blast/meteorite. So this item has a very good use, to boost the strength of all the listed blood pacts above. So i would really hope u wouldnt throw this away, unless you really were on crack. >.>
Does anyone know if Astral Pots can be recharged like our empress bands or would i have to go fight the puppet again to get more of them? Thanks for the help.

I've done this enm as whm, but now that my smn is getting close to 60, I'd like to try it as smn... I'm thinking that pot can't hurt trying to magic burst the snoll czar. Whatt's this fight like as smn? Anyone done it and won willing to share a strategy ?
The problem with this is that the snoll tzar is capped at 60, whereas this is lvl 61. I would imagine this, like other buffs, would be removed.

Like I said earlier, I think there is no time limit for this item. It's effect will expire once the avatar you used it on it released. I had Shiva out for over 5 minutes (Taru MP^^) and it didn't wear out.

Does anyone have percents for this? How much more damage is done, and how long does it last?
Well,.. I took some time to do a little testing of this Item, and I'll repost once I have better information.
It requires an avatar to be out to actually use it. The effect is on the avatar, not you. There will be no icon saying that it is being used either.
So far the only testing I did was on Tiny Mandys using Shiva and Blizard 4. I picked those because they wouldnt have any kinds of buffs and or enough lvl variation to make a difrance.
I killed 5 without the astral pot. All 5 took 522 points of dmg. Using the Astral Pot I killed another 5, all for 603 points of dmg. After that I let Shiva use up the rest of the MP and had no message of the effect wearing off. I'm assuming that the Astral Pot is good for as long as you keep out the avater you used it on. The next mandy I killed after resummoning Shiva went back to 522. I want to test using diffrent Avatars and see if its a percent increse and how it's affected by avatar TP. With the numbers I have now, it gives a 15.5% boost in dmg.

This would be an awesome item IF IT WORKED!!!
went through 3 of these from the ENM but not once even on an Astral Flow did it increase the magical damage. Total waste if not for the reaction you get from people when they see you are carrying around some "Astral Pot".

Mayby it means when the Avatar casts a spell, since they get spells of their element at certain lvls.
no, spirits cast spells... avatars have blood pacts...
That is a good question tho... will this boost Spirit magic attack? or just avatar?
Incidentally, as for it not working... I hope you're using Elemental or Astral Flow BP's cause the rest don't do magic attacks... Burning Strike, Double Punch, Double Slap, Megalith Throw, etc... are all physical damage. I think Thunderspark is magic attack, since it does use Ramuh's TP, but I'm not 100% certain.

Hmm i dont think he was talking about Drugs... might have been but i think he was probly talking about all the other astral stuff out there and how it gives MP..... but then again i may be wrong
