I have been camping this for the past 5 days putting in many hours waiting for pops. 3 Leech King and 2 Argus have poped. It has spawned as early as 18 hours and as late as 30. I have read about it being possible to pop @16, but i can not confirm this. I got the tod from my friend from the night before i started my camp. 18-30-20-22-27 we the pop times that I have seen so far. Just a little information to help you all out.

I think all gillseller should be remove off the game. Too much trouble to camp for NM, on top of that they Mpk ppl for Rare item.

I aggree with Yodaears, but hey to each his own. No opinion is ever wrong, they cannot be because they are YOUR's. I dont like disrespectful people or those who for some reason must downtalk others because of their own insecurities. Kudos for Aeisha to speak out.

We don't have to wait for SE to take care of the problem. We can take care of it ourselves by not buying gil online. If no one bought gil then there would not be enough profit for online gil selling companies to pay gil sellers for the gil they submit, hence the problem would fix its self. Its easy to blame someone else for a problem but we all have to contribute in some way.

I agree with you to some degree but i dont really care so much about the gil aspect as i do about everyones right to camp an nm and receive their item. The fact that the reason we dont get the chance to claim it is because of RMT is what bugs me. If buying and selling gil doesnt interfere with my fair chance at an item then w/ever but if it does then ya i do blame gilsellers. The buying of gil is created by RMTs so gilbuyers do contribute but aren't the basis of fault.
If no body bought gil, then gil sellers wont get any money for selling gil. If that was the case they would have no reason to monopolize NM's.

Only a fool would try opening a market that there is no consumer base for. If there is no consumer base then there is no market. Its very difficult to control who sells what, because its very difficult to prove. It's easier to stop the consumer base than it is to stop the market. Even reducing the market value from less people buying would help to lower Auction House prices a little.

In the event that gil was dirt cheap because barely anyone bought it, which would translate into the lack of gilsellers, cheaper item prices etc... I guarantee you that someone will buy gil, which is cheap, and buy every item they ever need with it (which woudl also be cheap). The more people that do this will increase the rate of gil, which increases the gilsellers, which increases the price which makes more ppl buy gil and on and on.
Realistically tho, the world doesnt work that way. If the price of items in game dropped, then you would just get less gil for your real dollar. The only difference would be npc prices would play a bigger factor. Desynthesis would suck and npcing stuff would be more valuable.
I personally have way too many crafting options to ever need to buy gil and much better things to do with RL money anyway... but if SE made every single NM drop ra/ex, the crafting markets would be overrun with gilsellers affecting an entirely different group of people.
Why are the group of people that earn gil via crafting more important than those that camp (or vice versa)? well, they are not. My point is that it will shift to a different area, not be removed.
A final point for you to ponder. If gilsellers didnt make money from NMs, how many of them would adopt the method you use for making gil? And when they monopolise that, what will you move to?

ok i have to you guys are argueing what came first the chicken or the egg... we will nev er know .. lets just stop buying... either way that will end alot of it... maybe not all but most.. but people are lazy... so that wont happen .. the only thing i can say is I EARNED everything i have in the game that is my acheivment no one elses... i didnt buy gil and i am proud of it ...

Sorry for double post but did someone seriously say its better to have the charm than the amulet even though the stats are identical??? they must be disgruntled gilsellers or mentally challenged stats are stats and if we all can get one like we deserve to then all the better. Gilseller mentality = seller monopolizes NM > sells for insane price > not many can come up with that much gil honestly > person buys gil > seller gets the gil > sells the gil > camps NM again >repeat until economy is ruined.
I agree the only R/E item I can see causing a problem is the ring that took the place of archers it cant be crafted into a higher grade item (that I am aware of). The archers can be crafted into a snipers or HQ snipers+1.
Sniper issue is fixed with Woodsman Ring...
Inless i got this wrong, i think you missed the point commander was making. the "Shikaree ring" needs to be updated because they lowered its drop rate a while back as a failed attempt to deter gil sellers. Now that its R/X i've wasted 2 weeks worth of nights trying to get it, not because i need it, but because it seems worth trying to get. I only camped for that long because after a few nights of nothing i got mad and stayed out of spite. I know some people had much better luck than me, but realistically speaking, i could have easilly farmed 2 mil or more and bought 2 snipers in the time i wasted collectively on that ring. And about woodsman ring, that ring actually cost alot more (on titan) than a snipers pre-update. Now that archers are more complicated to get snipers are now just as expensive (1 mil+).

Definitely a great change i have been saying make these things rare/ex for ages because these items are meant to be used and enjoyed by all players not hoarded and inflated by gilsellers.Bravo to SE its not easy to make things perfect when cheaters are constantly finding new exploits but at least they do what they can. To the "poor" gilsellers boo-hoo you can have this (/death)

hmmm allow me to get something straight, i dont care if you want the peacock charm or the amulet, i dont care if you have 100m in gil or not, image means nothing to me, if your a DD job, it matters less to me in my party which one you have. and for those people who hunt nm's for gil think of this, SE had no intention of letting players use items from nm's for the use of selling, take up a craft, or sell items used for crafting. those items are for people to hunt and use themselves. Get over it, get used to it, or get out. plain and simple
Square Enix did intend for people to be able to sell drops from NMs to craft or for them to use themselves. Otherwise they would of put all the NM equipment drops rare/ex. They only put rare/ex on this item because the bots didn't give people who wanted to use this item a chance to camp it.
I reccomend not to kill a NM for each piece of your equipment that drops from a mob. I reccomend to find out the fastest way you can make gil and use that 80% of the time and the other 20% of the time you can experiment with new and possibly better ideas.

The Amulet is a fake i wanted a Charm so i tossed the amulet in disgust then went and did the BCNM to get my charm and got it so now i'm happy. SE has messed with this game so much from the rng nerf to changing drops a friend in my ls has been stripped of his money maker Valkurm Emperor.. so what's next SE going to nerf Warrior and Black Mage?

Argus spawn timer is 18-30hrs. He shares timer with Leeche King so you don't always get Argus.

I've just Seen a War/mnk wearing a peacock charm (not amulet) and a royal knights belt. Bein a war he's obviously after acc. str and dex here (his armour was set up for DD and he had a happy egg as his ammo) If thats the case you want +str and Dex from the belt and acc from the neck why not swap things around a little. A life belt and a Spike necklace offer the same buffs required and an extra lil str + dex saving you a few million!
Lol this is sad on my Server "Lakshmi" this guy refuses to let it go Rare/Ex, he still camps it and in his bazaar it says "Peacock Amulet = 8 Million Only you can Lot" so he invites you after you pay 8 Million and lets you lot.

that is pretty gay lol. however, as much as i hate to say it... theres nothing u can do. Im a lvl 69 thf and i merc 50 cap, keys, DS, u name it, ill kill it if its killable :P
that being said, i dont see any difference between what i do and what hes doing. if sumone offered me 8 mil to camp argus, id say no cuz NMs suck, but if i did say yes, thatd be perfectly legal....

a guy in my ls called a gm on Levan and the gm said he can do whatever he wants with items....
this can be easily be handled by calling a GM... they will record his/her time spent in the zone and eventually terminate his/her account. because his bazaar comment. so… even tho i’m not on your sever do yourself a favor and call a GM on his A$$

Can u call a GM on that? All the guy is saying is he'll invite u to get an item for money. Thats like saying u want help getting carbuncles ruby, and the person you ask wants money in return for help. You cant just call a GM on him.
Levan and Zzzzzzzzzzzz have not been on for a few days now after my LS called on em. lets hope they are gone for good

It's more likely he wastes his money buying gil to get what he considers 1337 items cuz he's a n00b and doesn't realize real players think the way you do: We respect people for using their time and proving their talent to get the leet items, and there is no more positive way to showoff than by wearing all the awesome items that can't be got by cheating.
Pretty sure this is in reply to a previous comment, and in both, I am almost positive they mean throwing it away.

Why would you camp Argus only to throw out his drop? >.> And, regardless of your job, why would you throw out the highest accuracy giving neck piece in the game?(not counting the charm) In my opinion, end-game gear is always worth keeping.

Not to attack the poster and a bit off topic... but is it possible to have the same name on different servers? I ask this because my cousin's mule is named Ceejay and he's only a level 5 rdm on Caitsith. IF this is my cousin (Skizel), please stop pretending you're that high in lvl =P, if not I apologize. Anyways, the Peacock Charm is the same exact thing as the Peacock Amulet except for the rare/ex so as the previous poster explained it is the same thing, except for the whole rare/ex. Why would you toss it? If you were to solo as a rdm/nin this would help to solo... not to mention if you ever decide to level up a melee job this would benefit you so much once you get to 33 or above.
Um.... duh. Of course you can have the same name as someone else on a different server.
