I have this belt. Its really nice to have when you are leveling a job like PLD or NIN @ low levels if you are having trouble holding hate.

This is great for a PLD to macro into Provoke while you still use Warrior's Belt+1, so is not worthless. Has the same Enmity as a mermaid ring and was free.

Was fighting the big boy outside upper jeuno. got warped to port Jeuno. got back to upper, set homepoint, got knocked back to homepoint, went out, got hit, ended up in S Sandy.. warped back, got hit, knocked to Port Bastok.. Man.. Took a boat back, forgot about him. I like to travel, and I like free warps, but that was friggin ridiculous. lol..

Ok first off, if your pet (Avatar, Wyvern, Jug Pet/Charmed pet, etc.) Gets hate, THE TORO GOES AT YOU! I tried XD "Ifrit hits the toro for 150 points of damage. Siegtaru is gored back to Jeuno."

So ya...

And if you wanna keel it good, just stand near the zone and kill it with a ranged/magic/pet attack. If it gores you, you get sent into the zone and into the city/new area instead of back to your Home Point. It's very usefull.

And there's all you really need to know if you're after teh pretty sashes.

Actually this isn't completely true. A few times I got knocked into the zone and it sent me to my Home Point instead of right inside the zone.

This mob is great for any non-blm people! I was about to go lvl my lvl 15RNG and I didn't feel like riding there. Then I remembered that I set my HP at the outpost in the dunes, so I shoot one arrow, it hits me and boom! I'm in the dunes :D

#REDACTED, Posted: Aug 31 2005 at 9:02 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Imo Enmity has a hidden effect of occasionally intimidating the mob. A paladin regularly intimidates undead mobs and holds a lot of enmity over them. What you've just posted also suggests you increased your enmity and caused intimidation. With my warrior AF gloves, Visor, Boots equipped I had +6 enmity whilst killing stonkingly huge and scary demons in castle zvahl bailey for my coffer key. Ypu can imagine how suprised we all were when the line "The Arch Demon is intimidated by Kryptonitics Presence" came up on the log but it did happen. Only thing I can think of is Enmity also gives you a small chance to intimidate some mobs

That's the CHR that the PLD has, not their Enmity.
CHR affects how often Killer Traits will kick in.

The "Undead Killer" trait is what causes this intimadation. It is not due to Enmity, or Charisma.

Charisma however will affect how often it activates the "killer" trait. CHR affects ALL of the killer traits.

slight problem with ur answers though... demons are not considered undead in the undead killer trait... chr could affect intimidation though im agreeing with that

Did anyone mention if there was a SAM in the PT? >.>

if so, might he have used Warding Circle? (assuming you didn't have Dragon Torque on, or whatever it is that decreases dragon killer effect and increases demon killer effect)

I got mine outside of Jeuno. :P

Anyway, while killing saplings with red sash equipped, they keep being intimidated by my presence. I was wearing nothing special, and it was with my other char, who was a lvl 10 rdm. They were never resisted before, without the red sash. And that's with the NQ one. Does it have a hidden effect, or is it a rdm ability?

If it has a hidden effect to intimidate enemies, it'd be even better for tanking. ^^

Just to check- were you eating ginger cookies for mp at the time? Ginger Cookies, like most (possibly all) of the 99-stackable snacks, provide you with both the heal mp boost _and_ a killer affect.

My guess is that this was all part of that big food change. You can now eat a different cookie/cracker for every mob, and get a different killer effect for just one or two fights...

Anyway, ginger cookies are plantoid killers, so tht's just about perfect. (And, incidentally, Garlic Crackers are undead. Now isn't that cute? ^.-)

Im sure RDM has a hidden plant killer effect, every so often as rdm when im fighting malboros, saplings it pops up with "Malboro is intimadated by Chille's presence"
Strategy

Use SMN's to kill the toro/miura - just wait in a city(i got mine in Sandy) and check each area connected to it. Mostly ppl pull them back to the zone. Just dont get aggro and you'll be fine
#REDACTED, Posted: Aug 30 2005 at 10:34 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) hehe, i submitted the picture of this thing. i'm also using Dash Sash for my PLD, hopefully a Cache-Nez too if my friend will let me borrow it. +4 Enmity? you know you love a galka PLD +4 enmity n.n

Got mine 3 days ago. This is the plus one version of Red Sash. It gives the weilder DEF:1 and +2 enmity. for lower dunes level Paladins, this is great, i've tried it on my paladin which is currently 13 and there is rarely ever hate loss, my only incident being when a powerleveler began cure 3ing me lol. This is dropped after defeating Miura, the +1 version of Toro :P H spawns just like toro outside of the nations and is taken down using the same strategy. Once Miura is dropped, just examine the ??? left behind and bam, you've got your Dash Sash^ ^

The strategy to take these either Miura or Toro can be accomplished a few different ways. Your best bet is to wait outside of one of the three home nations (Bastok, Sandoria, Windurst), it seems to have a larger group contingency there to attack these two mobs. Once someone finds the thing, and brings it to the nation gate, a whole bunch of people start whacking it to death while it head butts the crap out of them. I am not sure, but i think that if you are not engaged while you have hate, and are not facing the mob, you cannot be warped. Unfortunately I haven't been able to confirm this but if theres a big group of people killing it with you, just keep following it closely, once it runs out of hp, quickly press square then x to examine the "???" or i believe F8 on the computer. Make sure to set your home point near, just in case. And good luck getting your sash^ ^

Anyways, I've had a hell of a time trying to find this on Quetzalcoatl. Everytime I wait near a zone or search for it, there's always Toros.

Just my luck... right? >_>
