I farmed 12 of each of the bloods required to make 12 synths of this. As BST75/THF37, it took 6 hours. While the leech saliva in SSG dropped pretty regularly, all the other ones were very frustrating.

In the end, what do you get? A pet that's only good for show, or level 50 capped areas.

Curse you, Square-Enix!
Nice DD low defence.

Nice to use as DD in a normal type of EXP party where you as BST is DD but when it comes to tank it wont last long, but it hit hard.

Is certainly have a wow effect on people and that is fun to do :)

This jug pet is extreamly overpowered compaired to the other jugs from when you can start using it to when it caps. Just somewhat of a pain to get since the items don't go for sale too much. But if you farm them youself you can get a decent amount of them, along with the stuff you can scrape off from the AH.

As a Damage dealer CC just plain sucks compared to other jugs. I am only lvl 57 right now, but I would think that the HQ beetle jug would do a lot more damage than CC.

Oh joy! This jug surly is a waste of time to try to get, but fun as heck to show off for the fun of it. Went testing against Ahriman. As you know, Level 5 Petrify doesn't miss if your level's 5, 10, 15, ect.. This pet was petrified. and concidering it was taking a beating from a level 45-48 evil eye, I'm going to have to say that this jug caps at level 55. LEVEL 55 EVERYONE... Please don't waste any of your money testing this. SE gave us new toys at the cost of running everywhere for crap pets =/ oh well, thanks SE for trying~

I tested this guy in CN a while ago.. it seems to have about the same level as the capped crab familiar so lvl 55 seems about right.
It's a shame it doesen't last 30 mins though, great fun running around with this thing in tow(worth the extra 9.5k over a crab jug).
It has better offense than the crab (i guess expected).

edit: This is the coolest jug IMO.

So you compared the low quality version of this pet to CC? Thats like comparing NFL and High School teams. I actually heard that this pet is better than a crab familiar, which would make the HQ version better than CC. Call me crazy... but i think you should compare apples to apples.
#REDACTED, Posted: Oct 19 2005 at 6:22 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Can u say waste of gil? this pet has no defense whatsoever, all in all it blows. CourrierCarrie is still the best, although i havent tried any +1's of the new jugs, because they cost 200k and up just for 1 of em on Lakshmi.

It really depends on your level. At the low levels hare familiars do better than CC. In the mid levels a normal crab famaliar will usually do almost as well as CC(if you aren't doing missions or some hard fight i wouldn't even use CC until the NQ caps at 55). At higher levels(up to about 66) funguar famaliar has much better attack and better defence than CC (the downside is that it lasts 15 mins, the upside: funguar=750g CC=2000+).

CC may be better than this one in a fight, but go to a lowbie area and call a Mite and invis yourself and scare people half to death ^^
