The Noble Mold morph time is reset by any updates, etc to the beginning of the
19-25 hour wait time not to the beginning of the morph window.
This is very easy to camp if you are 75 if you just put yourself on /follow to the last fungar on the widescan, which is the placeholder.

This is not based on my findings but i will be checking it soon. kep ya posted

Spawns around E-9 to F-10
Spawn specifics are unknown, but it may require rainy weather to spawn.
Special Attacks: Aquaveil, Water II, Waterga II, Enwater, Poison II
The following is information I gathered from two weeks of camping. It isn't 100% complete, but it will greatly help in focusing your efforts. -Turnerbrown/Fairy
Noble Mold spawns/morphs from a funguar at the south end of E-9. The placeholder must be alive for Noble Mold to spawn.
It only spawns during rain (single water element).
It can spawn on ANY day, contrary to what you may have read.
Rainy weather in this zone occurs mostly from the 4th Vanadiel month through the 6th month. Most recorded spawns of Noble Mold have occured in months 5 and 6.
This means that you can expect a 2-3 day window within a 2-week period for Noble Mold to spawn. Yes, it is THAT rare.
The Weather Checker NPC's in Jeuno will specifically predict "Rain" during this period, usually all three days.
Once this period of almost daily rain begins, expect an 18-24 hr timer for the NM. Killing placeholders may reset this.
Noble Mold has @4400 hitpoints, and gives xp equal to a level 50 mob.
The hat is not a 100% drop, however it dropped 2 of the three spawns I witnessed.
The regen effect on the hat is 1 hp every 3 seconds, but it only kicks in during rainy weather.

just saw a JP BRD75 with this on and some other very rare gear (vilma ring etc). hes english was a little rusty, but this is what i THINK i learned from him. spawn time = 20 hours. drop rate less the 100% (he was 1/3) and water day. rain weather too i think. he also said "May~Jry" i think meaning a vanadiel monthly time frame. i saw more info on the NM page too

Rumors are lightsday + rainy weather and possible 24 hour timer

now new rumors circulating leaving the "unknown" placeholders alive for 24-72 hours

Sorry, I completely forgot about this thread when I stopped leveling RDM. XD

I entered the Sancturary during Rainy Weather. I don't remember the day it was, sorry. I read on somepage it spawns near E-9, so I headed there. I was doing /sea before I got to the area, so I'm sure no one was camping it at the time. Of course, no one really knew about this hat. I didn't see anyone equipped with it before I got it, and I still haven't seen anyone else with it.

But anyway, I'm a level 75SMN and I had RNG sub for widescan. Sure enough, I got close to the area and found "Noble Mold" on WS and I nearly crapped my pants! I got to the area. All the placeholders were alive, so I'm assuming no one was camping it at all (which kinda gives more credit to the "Don't kill the placeholders for 21-24 hours" theory). Got off Chocobo and whacked it with my light staff to claim. Summoned Carby (took me 3 tries) and Carby beat the living crap out of it. It died in about a minute. I didn't get a chance to use a Blood Pact because I was too busy shouting in the Linkshell that I got the NM lol.

Got the hat. I'll try camping it again one day (some LS members want it) and I'll try to get a picture of the NM and test some theories.

My friends on different servers say this hat is so far a 100% drop. Then again, only 3 known claims for them. I'm yet to see anyone else with this hat on the Fairy server.

I hope that helps a little, but I'm sure it doesn't. Good luck hunting!

You're right. Asside from this being by far the best thing for rdm of this level, as well as bsts for a good long while, excellent for whm, and not too bad a bet for a smn, this thing completely sucks. They should have made it with +132 attack and +65 str! Stupid stupid S-E!

Maikeru! you've got the wrong linkpearl on! ^_~
