I currently use the Gramary cape, and through my 50s I have noticed an increase in less resisted elemental Ni spells. Though slight it, allong with food and subbing RDM I have kept my ninjitsu dmg above an average of 60dmg per spell. Considering my katanas deal 15-25 dmg per hit, for a total of 30-50 dmg every 5 seconds, I still do more dmg with Elemental spells then with katanas. For those how are interested in using the elemental spells for dmg, the target dmg against mobs is 80. You should find that with resists you will do 60 or less on resisted attacks for a collective dmg of 400+ every 30 seconds (45 seconds if you are tanking).

I have found a series of items introduced in the new update (this item included) that give either magical accuracy or magical attack bonus that help ninja maintain the usefullness of their ninjitsu well into the 70s (I don't know if you would have to sub a mage job, or if by simply focusing on these you will stay above the mobs Magical defense).

yes it affects ninjitsu because NIN/BLM gain dmg from 'magic attack up' trait /BLM gives.

Hmm, does Magic Accuracy effect ninjutsu?

Either it does, or it's giving more support to those NIN that use a RDM/BLM subjob.

It does help getting Ninja spells to stick, the damage is great and is compareable to the Fudo really, I have both and the Fudo really doesnt do much more damage.. Once you merit Crit hit % this Katana rocks.. Also being a rare Katana collector this is the only one that I have seen that has such amazing graphic detail in the design.. Most all Katana's are pretty bland looking, but this one has great detail in the handle the silk stitching and embossed silver in the blade joint. Also the Ruby that is part of the synth ingredent's is actually viewable in the handle ^^ over all nice Katana for any Ninja that can get their hands on one.

I have one and can attest to this being a very nice Katana. It is very close to the Fudo in damage, and I have noticed that I hit much more often on VTs with this Kat, and no acc food of course.

And yes... It is the Hottest weapon I own now... as far as looks go^^ That pict doesn't give it justice.
