Accuracy is more like intended effect.

Magic Accuracy is broader than just enfeebling. You can have enfeebling magic accuracy, Elemental magic accuracy, Divine magic accuracy, dark, enhancing and healing magic accuracy.

The list obviously can be shortened to have enhancing dark lumped with elemental.

When casting an elemental magic attack a black mage has more potential for hitting his or her maximum limit of damage when they cast a spell.

Enfeebling magic accuracy makes your enfeebles more likely to land vs being resisted.

The rest respectively improves those magic's effectiveness.

The Sennight bangles correlate the day of the week to the element of that day.

An example would be casting flare on firesday. Flare would do more damage with these bangles equipped or casting bind on iceday makes it more likely to land.

Casting cure with these would increase a whm's maximum mp output per cure or maximum damage for banish on lights day.

Darks day a asper or drain are more likely to drain more mp/hp.

Not entirely accurate, those things happen ALREADY.
This corresponds to weekdays, which is similar to our system. Lightsday/Darksday are considered Weekends. However, these improve magic acc by one point EVERY DAY OTHER THAN Lightsday/Darksday, completely aside from elemental day effects.

NM - Shieldtrap

I thought I'd post some information on how to find the NM that drops this. My LS stumbled upon it by accident on our way to kill the Carmine Dobsonflys. It is in Riverne Site #A01, so you will need access to that area.

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y126/gte292j/Guide%20Maps/Riverne-Site-A01-shieldtrap.jpg

It seems that a ??? will randomly appear around the area indicated on K-9 on the map. Clicking on it will give you a rare/ex item, Shield Bug. We've seen this ??? twice now on two separate trips, and each time one of our members obtained this Shield Bug when they clicked on it. The ??? disappears after someone obtains the Shield Bug, and presumably reappears after an unknown amount of time.

Once you have the Shield Bug, make your way to the other ??? indicated at I-9 on the map. Trading the Sheild Bug to this ??? will spawn the NM, Shieldtrap. We were not exactly well prepared for the fight, no real tank and not even a full party of 6, so we only managed to bring its health down by 1/4 before we wiped. I did notice that it had AoE sleep among other attacks. I imagine a well formed and prepared group could take him down without too much trouble.

I'll post more information if I find out anything else.

Magic Accuracy

I think +Magic Accuracy works just like Elemental Seal does. Elemental seal increases the accuracy of the next spell. Of all the times I've used Elemental Seal, it always made the next spell I cast, land, without resistance. So more magic accuracy will decrease the chance of your spells being resisted.

Weekday effect?
# Nov 08 2005 at 9:42 AM Rating: Decent
When I first saw these, I automaticaly thought that the magic acc kicked in when the spell matched that days element. I.E. Fire on Fireday would get +1 acc. Or Paralyze on Iceday.
Not proven, but just my thoughts. It does make sense though.

For such hit/miss spells as:
Paralyze, Blind, Slow, Gravity, etc.

Forget where, but it was stated in one of the latest interviews with SE.

Weekday? I wonder if they mean Monday to Friday or Earthsday to Lightsday
RE: weekday?
# Nov 08 2005 at 4:28 AM Rating: Excellent
I've always assumed that the ingame weekdays were Firesday-Lightningsday, and that Lightsday and Darksday were the weekends.

Even though the week does start with Firesday, but I don't think Vana'diel necesarily follows our Gregorian calendar. The fact that Sunday is considered a weekend, and more to the fact a day of rest is a Christian thing.

Days in the Vana'diel week, starting with the first day are,
Firesday > Earthsday > Watersday > Windsday > Iceday > Lightningday > Lightsday > Darksday

So really, Lightsday and Darksday are technically the week's end anyway. And also light and dark on the element chart kind of follow their own little rules, instead of an elemental wheel with the other fundamental elements, the are directly opposed to each other.

Just my thoughts anyway.
Mssing and magic acc

Missing and magic accuracy are one and the same. You can hit for full, miss partially, or miss fully(real disgusting dmg here).

This trait is on the Grammary cape as well(Magic acc+). SquEnix is being very cryptic about this trait and as of now, we at the blm forums currently have no studies or info as to the effectiveness of it. General consensus with magic acc is that it affects resists, but we have no hard data at this time. Unless SE comes out and tells us (Fat chance of that), we'll just sit quietly in the dark.
Magic Accuracy

It's pretty important. And by accuracy i'm pretty sure itt means a spell actually "landing, or sticking". If you look at the rdm set of armor(I think lvl 70ish) many of the pieces have magic acc+. A red mage's enfeebling magic is only as good as it can lang and stick on a target. Thus the reason for items such as this. They help to make sure enfeebs and such stick on the mob. The more magic acc the better.
