I have been growing alot of Wildgrass seeds lately, and on my Gardener in Sandy, he ranges a yellow rock 2-3 pots every harvest. My other gardener in Windy, only gets 1 maybe 2. So, they can be gained growing WIldgrass seeds. ^^

pot preference

you're wrong, the type of flowerpot bears a small preference to what item you might get. For example, a Porcelain Flowerpot has a preference to harvest Wind crystals. So if one possibility in the plant you're growing is a wind crystal (among others), the pot will more likely harvest a Wind Crystal

I believe this is a reply to my post down below:
You are partially right, with every combination of seed/crystal (or lack of crystal) there is a small set of possibilities. You will harvest one of the possibilities, and plant/fertilize/harvest day and flowerpot type do not change possible results, but flowerpot type can change quantity.

If you read closely you will see that I said they don't change your set of possibilities. You won't grow something with a porcelain flowerpot that you can't grow with a brass flowerpot.

Honestly I don't know if what you are saying is true or not, but plant/fertilize day do appear to affect chance of getting a specific yield. Your post is the first I've seen saying flowerpot type affects anything but quantity.

I know at least one other thing that the Flower pot used will affect. It will affect the initial growth rate of your plant. Basically, if the elemental attribute of the pot is strong vs. the elemental attribute of the seed, your initial growth rate will be very fast(the fastest initial growth rate I believe). If the elemental attribute of the pot is weak vs. the elemental attribute of the seed, the initial growth rate will be extremely slow. If the elemental attributes of the pot and seed are the same, the growth rate will be somewhat fast. All other combinates will vary in speed as well. When I say "initial growth rate," I mean the growth rate until you feed the plant a crystal. When you feed your plant a crystal, the growth rate can change, depending on the elemental attribute of the crystal you use and the elemental attribute of the day you feed the crystal to your plant. To test my empirical evidence, for those disbelievers, try planting a grain seed in an ceramic(water) pot and a herb seed in an earthen pot. The Earthen Pot/Herb Seed combination will have an extremely slow initial growth rate, and the Ceramic Pot/Fire seed combination will have a very fast initial growth rate.

Despite this information, it is important to note that some plant harvests are not possible without a very slow growth rate Pot/Seed/Feed Crystal combination. I hope this helps.

In addition to Gusgen and the Maze,..
I got one of these by mining in Yughott Grotto (lower level).
Had field gloves & boots on. Definately a rare find tho.
Blue and Green rocks can be mined in the grotto as well.
Probably the other rocks as well but I haven't gotten any.

you can also get it by feeding an earth crystal and harvesting on earth day

I grow 2 of these once in gardeing and i never fed the plants any crystal

errr... so when the Moggle says the plant is not doing well, you just let it go? Then when exactly do you do the harrrvesting? When it is time to empty out the dead plant? Or did you dried the plant at some point to get the yellow rock.

I hate to be negative but that smells to me like a rrreally a tall tale.

P.S. I been trying to grow this via gardening, but I have only managed to harvest black rocks. :?

Of course he checks the plant to make sure it does not dry out. He just said he did not feed it a crystal. This is correct. You can get rocks by feeding no crystal.

This is grown with veggie seeds and no crystal (2 of them with a small chance of rock and a long wait time) or with veggie seeds and an earth crystal (only 1 but only takes about half as long)

You are are also partially right and partially wrong. With every seed/pot combination, there are 9 possible feed crystal possiblities. One for each of the 8 elements, and 1 for the no crystal possiblity. To safely use the "No Crystal" option. You must check the plant regularly. I am not sure how Mogenhancement: Gardening works, but if you do not have it, then your plant will almost always wither if you do not check it at least once every 24 hours. And by check the plant, I mean use the "Examine" button. When you get to the growth stage where you have the option to feed the crystal, use the examine button. It will basically tell you that the plant is not doing well, but it will probably get better now that you have looked at it. This is true, though it will not get better right away. Make sure you examine the plant at least once every 24 hours. After a day or two, depending on the seed/pot combination, you will run out of time to feed it a crystal. When this happens, and you have been examining the plant, your plant will go back to looking and being healthy, and you will get the same type of messages as you would as if you had fed it a crystal. The only difference is that when you examine it, it will sy "Feed Crystal: None", or something close to that. So on this point, yes, there is a no crystal possiblity. It is also imporant to note that when you do not use a crystal, you may save a crystal, but the payoff is a very slow growth rate.

However, on the second point, in which you stated that the plant day/feed day/harvest day does not affect what crop you get, this is absolutely false. Varying these days may not always change the crop, but many times it will. These days are just as important as the pot/seed/feed crystal. In general, you must look at the elements of the pot/seed/crystal and the days, and examine the elements of each and their strong and weak attributes to produce the crop you want. As a general guideline, if you "over-fertilize" your plant, it will be infested with the vermin, and you will get a crop of little worms. If you "Under-fertilize" your plant, it will salinate, and you will get a crop of rock salt. As an example of these rules and how the days affect the crop, here is another very important general guideline: You will almost always end up with little worms if you harvest on the day whose elemental attribute is weak vs. the elemental attributes of both the seed and the feed crystal. For example, if you planted grain seeds and then fed the plant with a fire crystal, you will most likely be fishing for moat carp(you will most likely get a crop of little worms). Smiley: banghead This is because the elemental attribute of grain seeds is fire.

All this being said, it is important to keep in mind the elemental attributes of the seeds and pots. So fore those of you that do not know, here they are:

The elemental breakdown for pots is this:

Brass = Fire
Earthen = Earth
Ceramic = Water
Porcelein = Wind
Arcane = ?

The elemental breakdown for seeds is this:

Grain = Fire
Vegetable = Earth
Fruit = Water
Herb = Wind
Tree Cuttings = Ice
Tree Saplings = Dark
Cactus Stems = Light

* As you can tell from the chart above, I do not know the elemental attribute for the Arcane Pot, so if anyone knows this, please post it.

If you follow these guidelines, you will be a lot more successful in gardening. However, there are many other guidelines for gardening, some of which I do not know, so any more information, especially information on harvesting colored rocks would be highly appreciated.

Happy Gardening! Smiley: yippee
