Well damnit. I've waited for these for a long time since our LS cant kill Ultima every time a eclipse appears. It drops. We beat it. Well. I have 100% attandance for a year. (Ya thats a load of gil.) Still 1/5 BRD AF +1, RDM 1/5, and 0/5 BLM AF +1 and they don't even recognize me to lot it after to lot it I didn't lot it b/c the sub leaders took another load of time to think about who to lot. They give it to our subleader BLM and has 56% attandance. I'm not that happy. I go on our site and see RDM at priority with attandance. I thought the hell... Why did he get it? And the leader said to me he is a subleader. I hate that favorism sh*t. Sorry for the post. Good luck to others trying to get this peice, and I really hope you have a higher chance then I do heh.

Accuracy is more like intended effect.

Magic Accuracy is broader than just enfeebling. You can have enfeebling magic accuracy, Elemental magic accuracy, Divine magic accuracy, dark, enhancing and healing magic accuracy.

The list obviously can be shortened to have enhancing dark lumped with elemental.

When casting an elemental magic attack a black mage has more potential for hitting his or her maximum limit of damage when they cast a spell.

Enfeebling magic accuracy makes your enfeebles more likely to land vs being resisted.

The rest respectively improves those magic's effectiveness.

The Sennight bangles correlate the day of the week to the element of that day.

An example would be casting flare on firesday. Flare would do more damage with these bangles equipped or casting bind on iceday makes it more likely to land.

Casting cure with these would increase a whm's maximum mp output per cure or maximum damage for banish on lights day.

Darks day a asper or drain are more likely to drain more mp/hp.

Magic Accuracy
# Jul 11 2006 at 10:27 PM Rating: Decent
As I see it, Other then gear, Elemental Seal is the only option BLM has to increase Magic Accuracy. Only RDM can Merit it to my knowledge. BLM can merit Elemental potency for each element, but I would imagine that only helps with dmg, and not with resistance.
I've tried the grammy Cape at around lvl 60, and didn't notice any improvement with enfeebling resistance, so I discarded it after a few uses.
At Higher Lvl's when fighting Gods, Elemental Magic gets resisted 85% of the time in huge proportions. On Kirin casting Aero IV and Aeroga III, I only managed to do 70-90pts of Dmg when resisted, occasionally landing 400+ and once 767pts of Dmg. However once I stopped using Elemental Seal > Gravity and started using Elemental Seal > Aero IV I wasn't getting resisted much at all.

So I really would like to try this Turban out in that type of situation. But as of now I only have sky, so that’s out of my reach at this time.
BLU or not?
# May 28 2006 at 7:48 AM Rating: Decent
According to what the description says about this, it says that BLU can use it. According to what the picture says right now, BLU cant use it. Im just hoping that somrone can clearify this problem for me. thanks in advance.

BLU can use, the picture was taken before BLU was an available job in the game.

Yeahhh, now quick! get sea access and defeat proto ultima and omega. i'm sure thats much easier then just getting af2 or if your "just poor".
Magic Accuracy NOT useless
# May 24 2006 at 8:53 PM Rating: Decent
From what i have read so far, you are all saying that magic accuracy is useless for a black mage. You keep saying you get resisted about the same and that you dont see a difference. To prove you wrong the magic accuracy isnt useless to a blm, lets look at the blm job traits for a min. Elemental Seal: Increases the accuracy of the next spell cast. Magic Accuracy does help with spells such as poison not being resisted as much, but it also helps atleast 2 other spells. The more magic acuracy you have, the more drain and aspir effect the enemy. If you notice that after using elemental seal and drain, you do more damage than just from a drain all by itself. Not dissing anyone saying that you are stupid, but please get all the facts next time you call something useless.

Dude, all magic accuracy does for magic is... say, your damage range is 1150 to 1170. You'll hit closer to the 1170 than you would normally, if you have more magic accuracy. It has nothing to do with resistence - that is elemental magic.

I've tested this - get a grammary(sp) cape if you want to check it for yourself.

Uhhh.. Gramary Capw is Magic Defense, Noting to do with what you are spewing as "fact"
Magic Accuracy NOT useless
# Jul 03 2006 at 6:01 PM Rating: Decent
If you get one, you should trade it for a thinking cap. First off, people say its useless, then give the reason they say this to be that they dont notice any less resistance. This statment would suggest someone who not only has the hat, but has tested it against + int gear to come to this conclusion. Any moron can tell that magic accuracy is not useless. The question is if it is better than + int gear (and lets not forget + enfeebling and/or elemental and/or dark magic skill gear). The general population seams to go with the latter choices. As for elemental seal...Like you said, it increases the accuracy of the spells. This adds the same potency it does to nukes (and enfeebling magic for that matter)...zero. Stuipd is, stupid does. PS 32 BLM? Didnt know there was magic accuracy gear for that level
whats the difference?
# Apr 13 2006 at 2:43 AM Rating: Default
magic accuracy is a rdm trait isn't it? it wouldnt help blm as blm's magic resistance is purely determined by elemental magic skill only... im 75 blm and thats as far as i know. more elemental magic skill = less resistance. So if Magic Accuracy does ANYTHING to affect blms nukes maybe +1 magic accuracy is the equivalent of +5 elemental magic skill? how do i figure? I don't know but it makes sense that way.... as this is the only item blm can wear giving magic accuracy trait, yet you see tons of rdm equip giving magic accuracy.
i guess what it boils down to - whats the difference (if any) between magic accuracy and elemental magic skill?

I've had this argument with a few people before. One person told me, get this: Before magic accuracy gear was implemented, magic accuracy was not a stat in the game. ^_^ Elemental magic skill determines... the accuracy of nuking spells. Enfeebling magic skill increases... the accuracy of enfeebling spells. Imagine that? For a 75 blm to say this.. for shame. Read the description of Elemental Seal as suggested above. Next, I know you've probably never done this or even thought to... use Elemental Seal before a magic burst.. tell me if magic accuracy doesn't affect nuking damage? Granted, magic accuracy won't raise the max dmg of a nuke, (like piling on INT does), this will just keep your average nuke closer to its damage cap. Still, there are better pieces for blm, this would be situational. Might help in nuking mobs resistant to magic or to a certain element?

It's not the only piece, the Gramary Cape adds to Magic Accuracy. I've been using it on my Blm just for the hell of it, although I am looking at the shiny shiny red cape +1... too bad I'm poor.
Back on topic, I don't really see a difference, I still get resisted occasionally like every other Blm I know or have manaburn'd with.

This is one sexy piece of headgear for BLM. Gives more -emnity than AF2 with a more pervasive Magic-Accurancy skill bonus (AF2 only giving a bonus specific to elemental magc). /em DROOLS :P~~~~~~~

No, Magic Accuracy has no effect on en-spell damage. That is based off of your Enhancing Skill.

This peice right here screams RDM. Magic accuracy applies to a variety of things such as en-spell damage and overall spell efficiency(spell resisting mobs). The -enimity is always a must, especially when RDM must back up the White mage. Now the Haste +2% isnt bad either, fast cast from AF is better but it kinda makes the loss more bearable(not that youll notice anyways). Spell interuption rate down, kinda like aquaveil, helps RDM in melee situations when you have a rough time with low delay mobs. From this aspect perhaps it may be a better solo peice. Regardless, so many good end game peices out there now for RDM, its better to make your own choice.

This comes from Defeating Proto Omega ( or is it Ultima) in Limbus.

He can drop a peice of him self, an arm a leg, what have you, and then you can trade them to get a peice.
