Latent Effect Trigger

The Refresh effect from this piece is activated when your Base HP + HP from visible gear (weapon, shield, ranged, ammo, head, body, hands, legs, feet) is above 85%. If you have HP+ gear in your non-visible gear it is not factored into the equation and therefore your latent will kick in when you have less then 85% HP.

To keep things simple lets say from base HP and visible gear you have 1000 HP.

1000 * .85 = 850
850/1000 = 85%
The refresh effect kicks in when your HP is >= 850

Now lets add a Gigant Mantle, BQ Ring and 2x Pigeon Earring +1 for a total of +205HP from gear that is not visible on your character.

1000 HP (from above)
+205 HP from new gear
=1205 HP total

from the previous calculation the refresh effect will kick in above 850HP
850/1205 = ~70.5%

While there may be a minimum total HP percentage that the Parade Gorget latent kicks in at you get the point of how it works.

The latent effect is triggered at ~85% HP + the HP gained from visible armor.

A rough estimate for most people wearing it is you get the auto refresh in white HP. If you are close to full HP you trigger the latent.

The effect is 1 mp/tick, as the standard autorefresh. It is very nice for PLDs to get 2mp a tick without assistance, and nice for DRKs to get autorefresh.

Refresh effect.
# Sep 27 2006 at 12:22 PM Rating: Decent
Out of curiosity, what is the MP per tick. Is it identical to a RDM refresh at 3 MP per tick, or is it like PLD and SMN auto-refresh at 1 MP per tick?

From Lithiani on the Order of the Blue Gartr forums (link given somewhere else on this page):

"So it's:

Dark Crystal
San'Dorian Carrot
Gysahl Green
Wild Onion
LaThiene Cabbage
Frost Turnip
Watermelon
Distilled Water
Elshino Newt"

as the recipe for Goblin Drink.

Now that the pop item is out of the way, how about someone try to figure out how to trigger the latent? I'm heading down there later today unless it's packed, so I can't test myself just yet.

Argh, so far I'm 0/3. I ran out of drinks while I was out there.

On Ifrit, the campers got horrible. At first there were only a handful of people, but by the end of the night where were about 12 people on my pop spot alone. I was lucky to even use my last drink on it before it got entirely too late.

Here's to hoping you all have better luck, that'll mean less people camping it :P

I've heard of people going 1/3 on it, I went 1/1.

Soloed Wolfman as PLD70/WAR35. I used 2hr when he did to be safe and used a Yag drink.
(I prefer to overcompensate when I have no idea what I'm going up against)

Traded Goblin Drink to the Scrawled Writing, Wolfman popped. Used Blood Weapon, Drain, Aspir, and low level nukes. Fight took about 10-15 minutes, fighting him in a Shield Skill/VIT/DEF setup with Joyeuse, and macroing some ACC ATTK STR into Swift Blade.

He dropped 73 gil and the Gorget, no XP.

I've heard the Writings respawn after 15 minutes, much like the Rutter Sabaton NM.

ATM Oldton is crowded on Cerberus, I would wait a day or so before heading down there, I just happened to wake up early, saw the drink on Auction and ran down there.

Well, sorry to say danshyu, you're completely wrong. Did you actually get all those brown magic attempts done to you? Apparently not.

Now onto the next. You use a Goblin Drink to spawn this NM, but the problem was, no one knew the recipe. It's been discovered.

Search around the internet a little bit. You'll find it.

The drop rate on this NM is either really high or 100%. 3/3 on it.

How can you not know who it is when I said it's the digestion magic taru? Don't tell me you never used his service... But ok if you really need me spelling it out for you his name is Parike-Poranke, he's just outside of the tavern.

All that taru does is take away your food effect...

Have you even read the post I made down there? You have to keep using his service. Remember a while back people said the taru actually skills up his magic if you're the certain number of the player he served? This is similar you need to keep using him till he react differently toward you. Just read things through before you point out the obivious... /sigh

Hi, you're wrong. It's been tested, the person who hits 10,000 on the taru will get a title. Nothing else. This is not for the Parade Gorget!
Here
# Jul 27 2006 at 11:08 PM Rating: Good
Mystery already solved (supposivly), the Goblin drinks isn't crafted at all, instead it came from the digestion magic researcher taru in lower jeuno, you have keep using his magic to digest your food till he give you this paticular drink(takes quite a long time). Then you can use it to pop Goblin Wolfman in Oldton. Whom suppoesly drops the Parade Gorget.

This is part of a continuation of a thread I created in the Paladin Forum.

While the thread more or less broke down, we have clues that point that the pop item may be "Goblin Drink". The problem now is that no one knows the synth recipe, nor where to purchase from a vendor. It does not show up on AH. If you find out how to pop Goblin Wolfman, please be sure to reply here for the rest of us.

Goblin Water is an item I know you can get at the Hostel in Al Zahbi, though I think people have tried using it to pop the wolfman without success.
