It would seem, that with gold, silver, and plat bullets, while seeming totally worthless (for that kind of price y make worthless bullets???) They most likely have different effects against different mobs... Since the stats are almost identical from bullet to bullet, and SE has been REALLY good about having little details like this in the game, these things would appear to be right on that mark... only thing is I can not remember what plat wards against.
After doing alittle checking, Silver is anti-arcane (Typically symbolized by healing), and Gold is anti-demon (astral healing). Platinum should be anti-magic, as well as considered a combination of both Gold and silver (white gold). At least in Spititualism.
I would recommend trying the bullets on different types of binary mobs (arcana/arcane, Demon/dragon, Lumian/??? sea thingy...) Typically focusing on the darker half of the binary type.
I think you will find that they will do considerable, if not insane damage against a particular type of mob...
Adjust the resolution of menus. The main screen resolution for "FINAL FANTASY XI" is dependent on the "Overlay Graphics Resolution" setting. If the Overlay Graphics Resolution is set higher than the Menu Resolution, menus will be automatically resized.
There may be a reason Rangers buy this ammo. It's called Unlimited Shot. (I prefer to use it when I WS) It's called buffs (sharpshot, berserk if /War) then either if u solo WS or SC then u fire. Then re-equip your normal bullets, use Barrage, then u can WS almost right after the 1st.
There's Bronze bullets, there's Silver bullets. Why not Gold & Platinum? Unfortunately, their stats don't match the cost. Making & using these are nearly cost prohibited. Honestly all you're doing by putting these on is saying "Hey! I can wear a platinum ingot now!".
Now some people may point out the fact that THF & NIN can use these too, but take a look waaaay down the line at an ammo named "Bullet". Same damage, lvl 22, better delay, useable by all 3 jobs AND can be bought at an NPC in Norg/Bastok Markets. The only advantage to gold/plat. is the added ranged accuracy. There's really no practical use for this ammo.
The only benefits to these bullets are the +R.Acc, which would only be of real benefit against mobs that, for whatever reason, the user was unable to hit without assistance.
Most RNG are so top heavy with R.Acc gear by level 50, and silver bullets are already costly enough. I can't see anyone making this bullets for anything other than a prestige item in a gear slot.
No alchemist in their right mind is going to skill up on these. At a price/synth bordering on (if not over) 100k, with probably a max return of 20k, they're better off with ********** and Icarus Wings.
