worse then gil seller

They need this item to be more common, some gay people camp the guild shop and buy them all in the next second after shop open at 6. And resell them for 5k in auction. This really pissed me off. They ruined my crafting, they are worse then gil seller.

The guild sells these for around 70 a piece on my server(midgardsormr), and in the auction house they sell for 1k a piece, and about 14k a stack. Talk about a ripoff, this is probably the most highly inflated item i've seen so far.

yeah...they **** me off as much as the guy who sat out in front of the fishing guild, bought all the bait when it opened, then sold it at double the guild price to anyone stupid enough to buy it. He drove up the prices at the guild for the next three REAL days.

The guild only sells 3 or 4 singles of these per day, they're hardly ripping a ton of people off.
My findings...

As the original poster stated, Pygmaiois do occasionally drop these in Tahrongi Canyon, of course they can be stolen...

Sylvestre also drop these in Buburimu Peninsula, also can be stolen.

Definetely this works for anyone in disbelief. I made sure by walking out after reading this forum and walking behind a Mandragora and just snatching it from him. Definetely if it's this easy I'd rather do this to get the ones I need. Finally I have some interest in clothcraft again.
Harvesting points

Here's the deal with harvesting points from my experiance. There are two paths that run parallel to each other. one is on a ridge in front of the outpost (about G7). The other is along the road from the outpost to Giddius and along the ridge (G5-E6). THERE IS NO SPAWNING TIME. Once a harvest point has been harvested another one will spawn somewhere along the oposite path. If you bring along a friend, you can each work an oposite path, and bounce the points back and forth to each other. This is much faster than doing both paths yourself, and the harvest is excelent. It's like a giant game of ping pong!

In the case of guild shops, it could also mean that they're sold out.

The guild really needs to stock more of this. Just about every time I enter the shop, they're sold out. Just now I camped the shop, waiting for it to reopen (and restock.) I was the only one in the shop when it opened, and I opened up the buy window. Much to my delight, they had Saruta cotton for sale. So I bought every last piece of cotton they had.

I bought one.

Case in point.

yeah there's a reason they're always sold out. on my server, poeple line up when the shop opens every day to buy out the entire supply @~1K gil per stack, then run over tot he AH to resell them at ~4K per stack. really ticks me off. how am i supposed to lvl clothcraft now??

You can skip Saruta Cotton entirely.

0-1 - Yagudo Bead Necklace + Wind Crystal = 3 Grass Threads
1-4 - 3 Grass Threads + Earth Crystal = Grass Cloth
4-8 - 2 Grass Cloths + Grass Thread + Earth Crystal = Cape
6-11 - 2 Grass Cloths + Wind Crystal = Hachimaki
11-19 - 2 Flax Flowers + Lightning Crystal = Linen Thread
19-22 = 3 Linen Threads + Earth Crystal = Linen Cloth

I went out and bought a stack of sickles, and went on my way to find harvest points... Thier spawn seems to be erradic as hell though. I also check the spot west of the outpost in West Sarut.
it is along the path and the harvest points appear on either side, so just hit your tab key or whatever you use, and cycle through all onscreen things until you find a harvesting point. I've seen many other spots wondering around the area w/o a sickle on hand. They are easy to find if you just look a little. As for Japanese players buying up all the items at excactly 6.... I'm an American and I do it too...

These do not drop from mandragora or can you steal from them in Sarutabaruta. Only the Kolshushu mandragora (Pygmaioi and Sylvestre) carry it. I always thought that odd since its Saruta cotton.
RE: Wrong
# Feb 27 2004 at 12:54 PM Rating: Default
it is carried by mandragoras in saru. it has to be stolen.
