Mission OrdersWalkthroughYou need to retrieve a report from Davoi. Head to the Davoi and zone in and talk to the soldier behind the tree there. He tells you that the report is missing. The report is on the other side of the lake. Get it and talk to the soldier again and return to San D'Oria.

I am lvl 20 and have done the Rescue Drill mission, however, none of the gate guards will give me this mission? Is there something else I need to do first? Thanks
Getting the missions is based on your rank points. There are two ways to get your rank points up. Way one: Repeate missions that you have already completed. Way two: Buy some cheap earth crystals at the AH and trade them to one of the guards with T.K. after his name. I was having problems getting the "Rescue Drill" mission and just donated 24 earth crystals to one of the guards, this put my rank points way up. You don't have to donate crystals, but its the quickest way to get those points up.

I dont know why but I have to do the Save the children again before i get the davoi report mission.The first time i did the mission,I didnt get the orcs hut key so I thought that is why I need to do the the mission twice.I also have to do the bat hunting mission twice before I get the Rescue drills mission.
Perhaps I am wrong.just wrote this down base own personal experience :)

I had the same problem at first. I believe the way to attain the "The Davoi Report" mission after you have completed all the previous ones is to donate crystals. If you have not donated any crystals, I do not think you can move on to this mission.
My first attempt was to do more quests, which did not seem to help at all. I donated only 6 Earth Crystals (practically worthless at the AH) and then I could get the Davoi Report mission.

you need 2-3 rank, that mean you need to repeat the mission 1 or mission 2 few time before this one. Also giving 12 any crystals to the gate guard can help too.
Check you rank bar at stats menu. it show you were you at.

I am from San Doria and took the 6th mission before the 5th.
The mission is i have to go to windurst take a magic shield and bring it as an offer for the yagudos.
Ive done that , but the hard part is to take 2 shield from them....How? I killed like 100 of them and they dont give shields!!!

you have to kill zuu buxu the silent. a named yagudo near the treasure room. see the sand mission 3 posts for info on it.
the reason this mission is skippable is because if you take and give the crystals to the guard till you fill up your meter then you can take and get the Embassy mission. So it is skippable but wouldn't recommend it unless you have a lot of crystals to spare.

I re-did this mission, at the time I was 100 full into rank 2, it did NOT give me rank 3, you cannot get rank three with this mission no matter how far into rank 2 you are. I was level 21 at the time.

far as i understand it you have to complete all the missions to advance rank.. no single mission is going to advance you.. as for the giving guards crystals.. you can do that if you want to but its just as easy to go back and redo missions. i did the "Save the children" mission 6 times just so that i could earn extra xp and steal a few more beastcoins.

Here's the deal. You MUST complete the LAST mission for each rank to advance to the next, u cannot get around this. If u redo earlier missions or turn in crystals to the gate guard, it will bump up the rank points on your rank bar so that u may skip right to the last mission. U can redo the rank 1 missions even after u have attained rank 2. I think your rank bar has to be almost or fully filled to get the last mission for each rank. Every time I would go to King Ranperre's Tomb I would get bat fangs, so I would just stand in front of the gate guard and keep accepting the rank 1 Bat Hunt mission for each fang, even tho I was rank 2. Same goes for the Orcish Axe drop for M1-1. I would, however, recommend u do all the missions, they are good introductions to various areas.

The missing piece of the report is on the big "peninsula" jutting into the pond at J-8 from the south. You have to go around the east side of the lake to get it (very important if, like me, you're too low level to fight and you just want to rush in and grab it). It shows up as a "???" on the ground there. Do not confuse a nearby target, "Storage Box" (or something like that) for the paper.
Remember that the paper you pick up is only part of the report; you have to talk to the soldier at the entrace again to get the full report. The prince is upstairs in the Chapel inside the Papal chaimber. Give the report to him there to end the mission and receive a plot cutscene.

It now shows up as a "!" there, as of this date. (Done the mission twice now, as a Monk Lvl 21/War Lvl 10).

do not have to be min level 20, i completed it at 12, damn lucky though cause a kind 70 killed the whole camp for me.
The guard at the gate tells you where to find the prince. (basically, he's upstairs in the cathedral in the door you probably found locked before)

Go upstairs and open the the door to the papal chambers. That will trigger a cutscene and conclude the mission.

Hmm, Ive done this mission, and turned in crystals. I noticed Im at 100% rank 2 (my bar is completely full) so I thought I just need a couple more crystals to get that rank 3... NOT you cannot go from rank 2 to rank 3 with crystals, the T.K will tell you that your full and you do not need to donate anymore crystals...
so.. I was thinking of redoing mission 5 but I'm not if it won't promote me to rank 3, im currently full in rank 2, anyone done this?

Well Ive found the man (easy enough) after carefully avoiding every orc in the vicinity (seeing as their always in groups and very strong), i got the report, after being extremely cautious once again, and now im in the process of returning the report. Its not that hard of a mission, you just have to be careful

skippable means you don't need to do this to get the next mission, if you've already accepted the mission, you have to do it.

I think this must be some sort of mistake. According to this site, this and Crystal Bass are the only skippable missions. Crystal bass seems skippable because you can buy the bass on bazaar or something. How is this one skippable? Does anyone have an answer? Perhaps the author of the site/mission report?

He forgot to mention all the orcish fighters and orcish cursemakers around that lake. There are over a dozen of them there.

How do you skip these missions? If the only reason to take it is for Rank points, then there is no need for me to do it. I get loads of crystals that I turn in for rank.

The reward for this quest is not Rank 3, it is 2-3 (essentially just opens the Embassy Help mission up, but this mission is skippable, so is really only worth whatever mission points it gives u)

You can repeat certain missions for more rank points, that might put you past rank 3. You can also donate crystals to temple knights for rank points.

I was not given rank 3 when completing this mission. I can only think that I was not a high enough level? Any ideas?

depending on how many quests youve repeated and the order, it might be possible to attain rank 3. no clue. i didnt get rank 3 either even though my rank points bar is completely full.

you need to do mission 6 to get rank 3
The zone in to Davoi is in the southern tip of Jugner Forest. Its at the end of the leftmost chasm (the one without the river in it). You'll notice the pillars a'la Ghelba outpost that will tell you you've gone the wrong way. Once inside all you have to do is run around the pond to the little square area, target the ! and pick it up. Then return it to the guy hiding behind the tree. He'll send you back to San d'Oria.

the leftmost chasm with out the river IS the one with the orcs what do you mean by "the wrong way"?
no one has any ideas on this one??
