Mission Orders

The Minister of the Orastery is conducting an experiment in the eastern magic tower of the Horutoto Ruins, located in East Sarutabaruta. Inquire at the Orastery first, then go assist him.

Walkthrough

Talk to one of the gate guards and he sends you to the Orastery in Port Windurst. Talk to Hakkuru-Rinkuru on the stage to trigger a cutscene. After that, head to East Sarutabaruta and go to the (J-7) entrance to the Inner Horutoto Ruins.

Speak to Sama Gohjima, who is standing outside, before entering.

You should be in the Lily Tower. Head down the stairs to the ruins and circle around the large room. You are looking for a "Cracked Wall" on the South wall. Follow along until you get to a gate at (I-9). Enter there for another cutscene. After this, you need to search through the six different spheres until you find the key item: Cracked Mana Orb. The key item will be at a random sphere. Take the key item back to Hakkuru-Rinkuru to complete this mission.

having trouble

ok, i think i found the right crack in the wall, i go through and the next door is called "door to magical gizmo". This door is locked. It may not be the right door but Im fairly certain i talked to all the right NPCs before going. If this is the door, how do i unlock it?

All selectable objects in this game come up as a small white circle, instead of an arrow. The entrance is pretty much on the other side of where you came in. If that doesn't make sence, move your cursor over the walls until you can select the wall. Double click, and it should slide open.
Ok, I was making it too hard, hints

There are TWO secret doors in this area.

You WANT the one which is south from the bottom of the stairs, after you come in, around the central square. So its in the center on the map, at the lowest most point (between the two sphere rooms, which are the lower ones.

Sphere room -----stairs you came in-----sphere room

-----------------Center square ----------------

Lower sphere room--------CRACKED WALL----Lower Sphere room

You DON'T keep going through the secret door you find in one of the sphere rooms instead. Many other low players were making this same mistake on me, where we'd then die horribly from the high level blade bats and goblins.

The bad area is a cave area, if you go through that door you see dirt-cave ground. That is how you know it is the wrong area. I think this area is for the "find the bandit kitty hideout" quest, since it is also not for mission 2. Mission 2, of windhurst, is the far south eastern tower (not the one for mission one.)

The right southeren central area, through that middle far south secret door (recessed in the wall, target then hit enter), has a brick floor like the rest of the dungeon and NO MONSTERS leading up to that gate.

So at level 7, when I finally figured this out, this mission was cake. I kept on wondering why someone else said they did it with no problem. My talking a bout a cave and blade bats which aggroed should have cued them into me being in the wrong place.

Are you sure about the "no monsters" thing? I went through the very same secret door you said. No cave floor... all brick floor. There were blade bats and higher level goblins there that ate me for breakfast. Are you sure that noone didn't just run ahead of you and clear the way?
Crack

Its not really a crack, its a secret door kinda thing. Look for a recessed part of wall directly opposite the entrance
