Mission Orders

There are reports that the Cat Burglar has her paws on a "Book of the Gods," a restricted book that was lost twenty years ago. Assist the Opistery in investigating the reports, and attempt to retrieve the priceless, but dangerous, tome.

Walkthrough

First talk to Tosuka-Porika in the Optistery at (G-8) in Windurst Waters to begin this quest. Outside the Optistery and down some stairs is Tonana, who will warp you to Windurst Woods. Talk to Nanaa Mihgo and she will give you the key item: Lapis Monocle. It is highly recommended that you have the Map of the Maze of Shakhrami before doing this mission. It can be purchased from Mhoji Roccoruh or Pehki Machumaht. Unless your group intends to fight their way to the spot, you should bring a method of Sneak and Invisible for yourself.

Head to the Maze of Shakhrami, which can be found at the very Northeast corner of Tahrongi Canyon (K-5). Once inside, go down the tunnel until you reach a large room. This first room has bones, worms, and goblins. The worms are not aggressive. Take the tunnel to the left. You will reach another large room. This room has worms, goblins, and scorpions. The goblins and scorpions are aggressive.

Follow the left wall until you come to two tunnels and take the one on the right (G-6). You will reach a small opening, again stay to the left. The next room you reach is the room you seek (H-5). There are several Fossil Rocks in this room. Examine each one until you acquire the key item: Lapis Coral. You will need to drop Invisible in order to examine the Fossil Rock and obtain the key item.

Head back to Nanaa Mihgo in Windurst Woods (J-3). She will give you the key item: Hideout Key and direct you to the Inner Horutoto Ruins. It is highly recommended that you have Map of Horutoto Ruins for this area before proceeding. It is obtained by completing the quest Glyph Hanger.

Enter the Inner Horutoto Ruins through the Lily Tower at (J-7) in East Sarutabaruta. Once inside, go through the Cracked Wall at (G-8). You go to a new map at this point. Go through the Mahogany Door (G-7). NOTE: the Mahogany Door is not actually at these coordinates. In fact, it is not on the map at all. But at these coordinates you will find the hallway that leads to the Mahogany Door.

After the cutscene, head to the "House of the Hero" in Windurst Walls (G-3). After the cutscene, go back to Tosuka-Porika to finish the mission.

Correction:

The Mahogany Door is in the South-West of G-8. Not the first map you see when you walk in though, the map changes when you walk through the cracked wall. Also, the area with the door is not shown on the map, you walk off the boundary that the map shows.
Semi-Bug note: Tosuka-Porika
# Jan 21 2004 at 7:13 AM Rating: Good
Semi-Bug Note: Tosuka-Porika WILL NOT TALK to you correctly btw if you are still modeling the hat for the hat shop (part of a quest). Apparently the hat is too distracting? I dunno... At any rate, should he simply talk about hats, then you'll need to go back to the hat shop and return the hat first before talking to Tosuka. Then you will get the cinimatic scene as normal. (don't worry you can still try to finish the hat quest later, i believe)

cant find lapis
# Jan 02 2004 at 11:17 AM Rating: Default
Ok, maybe it is just because I am bad at following directions. I think I got to the room that is supposed to have lapis. Snuck past scorpions and ended up in a large room full of scorpions and an elemental. I tried to click on all the fossils but none seemed clickable. Does anyone have the exact location of a fossil that has the lapis on it?

Ummm sneak does not help for goblins, I wouldnt recommend this mission unless it's a full group of at least 21-or 22's.

Omg I didnt post that. This is the actual Reenie. There is a good handful of people with access to my account. Sorry if "Reenie" offended anyone.

Ok, I got the Lapis Coral and gave it To Nanaa.

I got her hideout key. I went to J-7 and went down into the ruins and entered the crack in the wall at G-8.

There is no mahogany door at G-7.

Does someone have the correct coordinates?

Nothing but magicked bones and a dungeon wall at that location and I have searched every part of it to no avail.

Thanks

if you have the map you'll see a that there are two different paths so to speak in the caves of the ruins, one leads down and another goes up and ends in a little round room. Go to that small round room, and you'll find a passage that will lead you off of the map, keep on down that "secret passage" not really that secret, lol, but it'll take you to a locked mahogany door,I haven't done this quest, but I have been to that same damn door way to many times crystal gathering under there. Good luck I know that's the door your looking for.

You can buy the map from one of the tents in WInd Woods. It's where the centre fountain is.

Do the Glyph Hanger quest for a map of the Ruins. Easy quest, and well worth it.
I cant find the... mahogany door
# Dec 10 2003 at 12:34 PM Rating: Default

I couldn't find the mahogany door......

when I got in the cracked wall I walked along the way and... got raped by gangs of beetles and slob there....

Is it a right path ?
# Dec 09 2003 at 1:35 AM Rating: Default
Also to get this quest I donated 48 crystals that a friend gave me. (trade to the gurard that talks about Conquest.) that got me enough conquest
points to take on this mission.
That will save some amiless wandering.

zWolf out

Don't you mean Rank points? Conquest points are not used for missions.

quote: "Now head back to Nanaa Mihgo in windurst woods (J-3). Before proceeding any further, I HIGHLY recommend completing this quick and easy map quest. Then, head over to the Inner Horutoto Ruins in East Sarutabaruta (J-7)." can anyone please tell me what this means??

If you talk to this one person in the library, she will give you a quest to talk to this one person, head to the west exit and go to the big tower, inside you will find the person, and doing this quest will give you the map

About the door in the ruins
# Dec 05 2003 at 1:11 AM Rating: Default
the door to this questisnt in the cracked wall in the main area.. as you enter the main area head West. as you enter the room it should be on the wall to the right.. then you shoud be going throu some tunnels. the door is at the very end. i hope this clears this up some =)
listen
# Dec 04 2003 at 9:57 PM Rating: Default
Ok look and listen there is no conquest point minimum infact your conquest point dont even matter for this all they are for is purchasing items. your rank points DO matter you will need about 2.25 rank points to begin this. Now if you got rank2 earlie and have been doing quests and EXPing with your signet on you likely wont haveto donate. However if your like soem people who have been going HC exp and just startign missions and running through them fast then yea you will have to donate if you want to start this right after mission3. But i mean cmon just run 5 secs ove rto the windy AH and buy 2 stacks of earth crystals they are uber cheap
wtf?!
# Dec 02 2003 at 6:54 PM Rating: Default
I have the mission and talked to that libraian, then i go the Nanaa, and she says you cant get away with murder! why wont she talk to me so i can complete mission? help plz
Three Stones
# Nov 25 2003 at 9:11 AM Rating: Decent
There are three stones in the room. If you double clicked the one with no Lapis found, then you simply need to check the other ones.
fossil rock??
# Nov 22 2003 at 12:08 AM Rating: Default
I assume from reading this is only my problem. after getting the quest from the guard and talking to nanaa about the fossil, i managed to sneak to the fossil room and the right one.. (inbetween the pits). But for some reason it just says it is a ordinary rock etc. nothing happens.. guess ill ask around before i try to escape. any help would be appreciated though!
Difference between Conquest points and Rank Points
# Nov 18 2003 at 5:46 PM Rating: Decent
Rank points are only earned by completing Missions and donating crystals. You can see how many rank points you have earned by checking your profile.

Conquest points are earned as a fraction of every xp you earn. That's why the game encourages you to fight high level monsters. The more xp you earn, the more conquest points you earn.

Now, for most folks, at the end of m3, you gain Rank 2 but don't have much beyond rank 2. In fact, the people that rewarded you that rank tell you that you still have to earn some rank points before your next mission. That is why you have to hand in crystals to get the offer for m4. THere's nothing hard about handing in crystals. trade them in to the War Warlock (w.w. guy who casts signet spell) and after handing in 8-10 crystals you should see your rank points bar increase so that its less than 20% full. talk to the NPCs again and get started on m4.
#Anonymous, Posted: Dec 04 2003 at 2:44 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) incorrect. you also get points for killing after signet
RE: Difference between Conquest points and Rank Points
# Jan 13 2004 at 11:11 AM Rating: Default
WRONG. You do NOT get rank points for killing after signet... you only get points for completing missions and handing in crystals.
RE: Difference between Conquest points and Rank Points
# Dec 08 2003 at 4:55 PM Rating: Default
haha incorrect to you Mr anonymous, the first post is correct.
You DONT get Rank point by killing monster whether you have signet or not, get your fact straight.
Trade in crystal helps those mission which is skippable (usually boring), thats all about it.
What should I do?
# Nov 15 2003 at 11:08 PM Rating: Default
I have finished mission 3 and I'm rank 2 now, but why when i talk to the Gate Guard, I can only see 1 option:"Decline Mission"? She's not offering me my mission 4, though I'm level 16 now. Then talk to Tosuka-Porika in the Optistery in windurst waters, and I saw a cunsence, and then I talked to Nanaa Mihgo, but she asked me to sell a stone for her in Bastok, and I don't see anything in my mission list, and the lady at the gate is still not giving me any mission, this ji just wired~! What should I do then?
RE: What should I do?
# Nov 16 2003 at 12:29 AM Rating: Decent
Scroll down and read the other replies. You have to donate a certain amount of crystals before you will be given the mission. 24 did it for me.
you have to turn in about 20 crystals
# Nov 13 2003 at 2:13 PM Rating: Default
20 crystals to do the quest watch out for goblins scorpions windigos ancient bats ghouls and pretty much anything else
Shak Maze
# Nov 12 2003 at 4:17 PM Rating: Default
The maze scorpions are doable, but hard, with a full group of 18-20. Sneak will be your best friend if you plan on soloing it prior to lv25. Not much bothered me when I did it at 29th (yeah yeah I know its late but I wanted to get to my advance classes first).

HELP
# Nov 12 2003 at 12:14 AM Rating: Default
OK, this is pissing me off, I did the onion brigade quest I have 1300 conquest points, and I have way over 20 crystals....I dont know what to do with the crystals.
I tried trading them both to the vendor in windurst woods, and the guy who casts the signets, neither of them do anything, they wont even take them, let alone give me rank for them
I have tried zoning and talking to them again and my choices in missions are "decline mission".
This is really pissing me off, if anyone has any suggestions please tell me....
RE: HELP
# Dec 22 2003 at 10:12 AM Rating: Decent
You can't trade in Crystals until you are rank 2. So it won't matter who you are talking to. You have to finish the 3rd MISSION [not quest, people tend to get these mixed up often] to even obtain Rank 2. So, you can't trade in crystals for rank points until you have completed the 3rd mission.
RE: HELP
# Nov 13 2003 at 3:57 PM Rating: Default
When you talk to the guards that give you signet you can scroll down the list of availble requests. Choose the option about trading in crystals then he will let you trade them to him.
RE: HELP
# Nov 14 2003 at 1:05 PM Rating: Default
Umm no....if you do that, you will only get an explanation of what donating crystals means. You have to "trade" with the warlock just like you do for all other NPCs. BTW you have to be at least rank 2 to be able to donate crystals.
