Mission Orders

On the command of Zubaba, the head lady-in-waiting, you are to journey beneath the central magic tower of the Horutoto Ruins. There, you are to report to the facility managed by Heavens Tower, which protects the talisman that seals Castle Zvahl. Render whatever assistance is necessary.

After talking to the gate guard head to the Heaven's Tower again to meet the Star Sybil's handmaiden Zubaba. She explains that she wants you to travel to the tower in East Sarubaruta and open a the 3 Mage Gate. You can do the "Making the Grade" quest from Fuepepe (Aurastery, Windurst Waters) for the ASPIR scroll at the same time (well WORTH it). Your party MUST consist of at least one of EACH of the following: Black Mage, White Mage and Red Mage.

Go to the north-eastern Horutoto tower and hug the wall to your right to find the Cracked Wall (G-8). Go inside and go through the east door in D-10. Head down to the strange looking gate at H-9. There are 3 colours on the floor: White, Red and Black. Each mage must stand in the middle of each circle and the door will open. Once the door is opened, keep going past through the fake walls at H-8.

Wendigos there drop the test answers for "Making the Grade" quest. Go into the "Gate of Light" for a cutscene with the highest ranked cardians.

You might also have to bring three Rusty Daggers dropped from Wendigos.

Head back to Heaven's Tower to finish the mission.

Does anyone know if the doors open for 3 mage subjobs?
# Jan 15 2004 at 1:41 PM Rating: Decent
The mages don't have to be on this mission. I tagged along when I heard some people were going to ger the Aspir scroll quest.

To complete the mission... you have to go into the "Gate of Light" for a cutscene with the highest ranked cardians, then repor to Heaven's Tower.

The room is the north-western chamber behind the Mage Door behind the walk-through wall.

I think it's repeatable to get fame while in rank 4 to activate the rank 4 missions.

I couldn't find a rdm to help so I got my friend to go lvl 1 rdm and tractored his body practically through the whole place. It was just me and my whm friend.. lvl 33 and 32. easily done. Also Wendigos are not a problem.
Mission is named

Proper name for this mission is
Written in the Stars, not Three Mages.
There's a warp.

Even though the door closes, you can still get out by using the warp located at the (i think) northeastern part of the room.

Pointers and info

Was down farming test sheets earlier today, so here is said info requested:
1) The tower is Inner Horutoto, the same one you went do for mission 1-1
2) Make sure you have maps and a good team (a full party of 30's was unchallenged for the most part)
3) When you go past the Sealed Door into a room full of 3rd tier gobs, you're in the right direction. Unless you're team is as good as we were, be very careful about how you **** off, the gobs can easily own you.
4) You only require one of each mage, not per team. The way it works is once a mage of each type is on the circle, the door will open for 1 minutes, get everyone in then, even if Boggarts are attacking.
5) Mission is very simple, reach the wendigo chamber, then go to every wall branch and check the Gates. (Gate of Fire, Water, etc)
6) Escape. We used the spell to escape, friends tried the hard way and ended up dead in the Canal. If you zone into the Canal GET THE HELL OUT. Turn tail and try another path out.

Also, when the sealed door closes, there is no reopening it from the inside, if you left someone behind without mages to get them in, they're as good as screwed.

The Tower is in East Sarutabaruta not west and its not a northeastern one its just all the way east, in the middle.and youd ont explain how to complete the mission, you only explain how to complete the ASPIR quest.

If you take an alliance through do you need one of each mage in each party?

Party 1
Thief, Thief, Thief, Red Mage, Warrior, Warrior
Party 2
Warrior, Monk, Red Mage, White Mage, Black Mage, Thief

If Party 2 sets up to go through gate, can Party 1 pass through as well?
