Poryphion used EES at half HP and i took around 400dmg - that was the only damage i took the whole fight.
You need to be patient when pulling these roaming Gigas as their agro range seems quite huge =/

I heard this theory that you can <Tractor> soemone's dead body through the Cermet Door on the bottom floor of Lower Delkfutt's Tower and Sneak/Invisible the lower level person to the transport and go straight to the top floor, kill the NM and get the key for the lower level person.
So I'm gonna try it with my buddy, I'm a 70 RDM/BLM, my buddy a 25MNK/WAR is gonna be my test subject, wish us luck and hopefully this can help people in the future or maybe democracy will ruin everything, who knows, lets go try and see.

I have forgotten many things for this mission...
1) Forgot to talk to the star lady in windy and I ran the whole 10 floors without cutscene, then ran back down and back to windy
2) Didn't have map which made it twice as long to get there
3) My friend had to go so I had to pay someone 25k to help
4) Had to re-run the tower
5) Didn't know what giant to fight, we ended up camping eney for like 20mins
6) Took off sneak while running past bats and they aggro me
7) Only lvl 29
8) Was lost in the "Basement" couldn't find the stupid taru and it keep asking for my key, thought the gate wasn't going to give back so I didn't hnd it over till like 10mins
9) Was running up and down the same stairs for 10mins the top was a dead end area, I didn't notice
My escort manage to make it to the zone out 1 min. after me and I had short cut...
short cut my ***.....

Soloed this as a lvl 50 tarutaru warrior. Mimas was a suprise when he used hundred fists, but I managed to kite and kill with 178 hp left. Poryphiron was weak, you just have to take the links out 1 by 1. Be careful of eagle eye shot. Any lvl 50 job in toilet paper gear can solo this mission.

lvl 32/DRK i had help from a lvl 60/RDM LS friend. just kept casting sneak and invisible on me it was easy only the climb to the top took the time, we killed the NM no trouble had a few links but took care of them.
only problem is now the T.K wont give me any new missions! but it seems the answer is trade more crystals! i'll give that a got now =D

No matter what I do(trading crystals to the guards, trying both archduke's palace, sandy embassy in jeuno, king in n.sandy) I cannot get mission 4-1. I dunno what else to do and I would really like to get this started, as it's driving me crazy.

Ok, I finally got it. I wasn't trading enough crystals to guards. I read somewhere else on here that mission 4-1 goes straight to rank 5(no 4-2 or 4-3) so I had to trade like 5 stacks of crystals to raise the rank up high enough. Once I went to sandy embassy, I got it.

This may be the wrong area to post it, but I got rank 4 and I am now trying to do mission 4-1. Spoke to Halver and he just says the king is counting on me(like he thinks mission 3-3 is still in progress or something) and when I talk to the guy in the sandy embassy he tells me to concentrate of solving jeuno's problems or something. That door behind him says 'authorized access only' and is locked. No one will talk to me, so I am just going back and forth trying to figure out who to talk to in order to get the archducal audience permit so I can start mission 4-1. Please let me know if I am messing up something somewhere. Even the guard at the gate only has the missions from ranks 1-4.

I have searched everywhere in bastok and in jeuno for sir lucius! The mystery man... I have not found him anywhere in bastok and i havent been able to talk to the President of Bastok and the door in the Bastokan embassy wont open in the back... m=^.^=m please post if u kno anything about my mystery person!!!

For those of you who couldn't get the letter to the Embassy-
You have to talk to the head of your nation first. I had to talk to King Desdin in order to recieve the Letter to the Embassey.

wow, thanks a lot for telling me this! I was getting really worried that I was never going to get to rank 4...This must have been written a long time ago or something if he's talking about making alliances of lv 10-15 people! I think I'll just solo, maybe duo it...

Yup! I went as a 40WAR/20NIN with a 47SAM/23RNG and we did it easily. The 47SAM could have soloed the thing without taking any damage. Too Weak!

My highest LVL character is only 30! Looking for a PL to assist me thru this mission..... I am usually on during the evenings, please /tell "wickster" I am not far away (right outside the tower). I am on the Pandy server.

FOr some reason i cant talk to king ive gotten mission from Guard and talked to halver in chat. and he said i should be able to grant audience with the king but when i get there it says i dont have an Archducal audience permit Did i miss something?? and guy From sandy embassy doesnt do anything either.

you have to talk to Halver in the great hall of Chhateu d'Oraguille before you go to jueno and youll meet the king..
i dont know why, or how they left this out but its left out on several websites
ill be correcting many things i find wrong on this sight from now on so you all dont have to worry any longer

I have done most of the mission but am not able to complete it :(
I have My Key (By getting a PL to kill the NM) and i have been Given the mission in Windurst (Home Town) - I was not given any key item (none has been mentioned in any other posts i don't think) so i assume i don't need one.
Basically when i go to open the Door to the Ambassador in the Basement of the tower the door opens and i get a message saying something like "You find nothing of Interest" - This is after i have traded the Key to the Door.
when i first noticed the problem i had got my key before starting the mission - So i went back to Windurst to get the mission then again went to the tower traded the Key - Same Message.
I have gone to Ru'Aun Gardens to the embassy there and i cant get a Cut scene. The Desk clerk Welcomes me and there is two doors to the left, i can get through the first one but not through the second. It says "autherised access only" or words to that effect!?
Do i need Fame to get this mission or any other Missions completed before i can gain access to the second room in the Embassy in Jeuno?
Can anyone help I'm so stuck and really want this so i can go for my Air Ship Pass :)

after you talk to the desk attendent and he informs you the ambassador is at delkfut tower.
you have the delkfut tower key....you need to go through the tower and then trade the key to the elevator at the top.... go down the stairs and you will eventually get to three doors...open the door and find the ambassador there... meet him back at ru'land gardens

50+ its an ez solo, jus did it for my nin, BEWARE if you take on mimas he has hundred fists 2hr, and will smash low lvl parties.
jus sneak/inviso for low lvls until u reach 10th floor, its fairly quick, good luck

i dont know if anyone else has experienced this problem, apparently no one i know has, but here goes. my mission log clearly states that i must get a letter of reomendation from one "Sir Lucius" (and take it back up to jeuno later), but when i go to speak to Lucius, his secretary says hes to busy, then when i talk to him (Lucius) he also says he's too busy, and will not give me the letter, or mention anything about it. my rank points are maxed, my mission log says to get the letter from him. and i am stumped, if anyone knows what im talking about, or can offer some suggestions please post, id really like to continue leveling up my ranks, thanks.

You did talk to the gate guard first right? If you did, then I really don't know why he wouldn't give you the letter.
