Description

You need to complete the "Teacher's Pet" quest and have Fame Lvl 3 before you can obtain this quest.

The students' answer sheets from their recent written exam have been stolen. The School of Magic urgently requests that you track down the answer sheets and return them.

Talk to Tauwawa in the same room as Fuepepe. She mentions an advanced student, Chomoro-Kyotoro was waiting to meet Ms.Fuepepe but disappeared so doesn't know if the student met with the teacher.

Chomoro-Kyotoro will be found on top of the Aurastery in class. (K6) Others in class mention his nervousness.

The item needed is a 'RARE' item called Test Answers; description: a pile of test answer sheets.

You get Test Answers from killing Wendigoes inside the secret room of the 3 mages. That room is inside the Inner Horutoto Ruins and you need a Red Mage, Black Mage, and a White Mage to stand on the symbols outside the secret door.

As for the reward, it is a scroll of Aspir.

You take the answer sheets to Fuepepe who tells you to take them to the principal (Koru-Moru) in Walls. He tells you to return to Fuepepe and also gives you a key-item for Chomoro-Kyotoro.

When you speak with Fuepepe you recieve a scroll of Aspir (25BLM/20DRK).

To obtain the quest

To start this one, in addition to fame, you have to have completed the Teachers Pet quest.
How do we know?
# Jan 16 2004 at 1:31 PM Rating: Default
There seems to be a general consensus on how this quest is done, but how did people figure it out? Neither Chomomo nor anyone else at the Aurastery has ever said anything to me that suggests that the test answers are in the ruins. Has anyone else been given some kind of guidance by the NPCs? My fame is rank 4, by the way.

Probably the first people got the Test Answers as an unexpected drop while in that area doing Mission 8 (Written in the Stars) rather than specifically questing there. In order to check the various gates that you need to check for that mission you would have to kill a decent number of Wendigos just to clear a path unless you are like over lvl 40 or so such that they dont aggro..

I believe this Quest is linked witht he 2 mandragora and bird feather quest, it would not let me do it until I did that quest. I am sure I had enough fame

# Jan 14 2004 at 10:44 AM Rating: Decent
I've done both of those Quests, actually, I've done the Coronette one about 12 times, turned in 4 sulfurs, and 1 2 leafed bud in the "mad mandragora" quest, and i've done the 2 leafed bud and the bird feather one as well.
Knowing me, quit trying at 24.9 fame...

I wish winderst had a flint quest...

I had to do about 20 town quests and I probably turned in about 5 sets of feather/mandragora before I was given the quest.

Not conclusive, but staying in there for 2 days killing the wendigos, we only got the test answers from the caster types, the ones with the scythes.

Can anyone else confirm their findings on this?

Yup I noticed this as well. Our party killed about 50 or more wendigos while getting 6 sets of Test Answers for the whole party and they only ever dropped from the BLMs. Once you realize that you can do the quest faster if you prefferentially pull the BLMs where possible. (You still have to fight some WAR ones in order to be able to pull from far away spots without getting aggroed by them).
#Anonymous, Posted: Dec 30 2003 at 4:18 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Contrary to the esteemed Allakhazam info, you don't have to be level 25 to get this quest. I was leveling my monk and so was currently mnk 11/ war 5, and I was offered the quest. My fame isn't incredibly high, just did a good amount of the windurst missions and nothing else.
RE: Actually

This has been stated a thousand times already, but since people never seem to get it -

The minimum level Allakhazam rates for a quest is the level you need to be strong enough to complete the quest by yourself. If you wish to take the easy way out and swipe the items from the AH, you just ignore the level requirement. But if not, that minimum level is a rather accurate indication of what level you need - if you don't believe me, go ahead and try. I would love to see you kill Wendigoes as a Lv11 monk.

One of the constants in questing is that you can get practically every quest, beside the flags/subjobs, at any level - down to Lv1. The only reason you can't get a normal quest is because your FAME is lacking, not your level. Other than that the NPCs don't give a damn if you're a Lv75'er or just switched to level your Lv1 subjob.

But hey, since your above all this "esteemed Allakhazam info", I gather you knew this already, right? Right.

And I suppose you, MR ANONYMOUS, can do the Palidan, Ninja, Samurai or the Dragoon quest at Lvl 30 by yourself with no problem??????

Try reading before you comment on stuff.

Nobody said anything about doing it solo - and on top of that, the dude clearly made a distinction between normal quests and the job/level restriction quests. I quote -

Like the dude said, for all the normal quests, the levels Allakhazam rates are accurate reccomendations.

Since it was either too vague or no one posted, here's details on how I found the room. I'm not from Windurst so I didn't come to this place before.

First, I went to East Sarubatsomethingerother. Go to the middle tower, on the eastern side of the map. Go in, follow right wall. Open crack and enter the Beetle Catacombs (Or similar name). See the big room on the western side of the map? That's the proper room to go to. Enter another crack in the wall I believe on the western side of the room. You'll come to another room and see the 3 circles in front of a sealed door. That's the Mage room. BLM stand on black circle, RDM on red, WHM on white and the sealed door will open.

Inside here you'll come to a room with 2 dead ends. Both are fake walls and you'll see a big room with Wendigos! To exit the area, there's a teleporter on NE side.

Anyways, I'm a lvl 31 BLM and I had a tough time killing the easy prey Wendigos. No, they don't link and Test Answers either uncommon or rare drop, I haven't gotten one as of yet...I'm still face down in the dirt waiting for rescue. hehe

Of course people NOT from Windurst have gotten this quest. I'm from Bastok. You just need a lot of fame. I did 21 unique quests in Windurst and about 8 repeated ones until I finally got it.

Getting the quest.
# Dec 18 2003 at 2:54 PM Rating: Default
I am a lv42 BLM. I have gone without aspir long enough. I have done 19 quests in windurst. (I am bastokan) and have done quite a few repeatable...when it says fame needed "25", is that 25 quests? And what does the rating mean?
RE: Getting the quest.
# Dec 18 2003 at 11:41 PM Rating: Default
DO I HAVE THE ANSWER FOR YOU!!!!

Fame 25, no idea, but with 5 different quests and 42 repeated I could do this quest, repeating is supposed to give less than the fame of a different. my guess was that repeating gave 1/2 the fame, so 42/2 = 21 + 5 = 26 which would mean 25 is a fair ballpark IF reapeating gives 1/2 the fame. hope this helps
Easy
# Dec 17 2003 at 10:16 PM Rating: Default
This quest was too easy...all you need is some fame, and not that much seeing as how i only have 17 completed quests and this was my 18th.

note i have done a bunch of repeatable though.

I am from bastok have finished 23 quests and some multiple times... I still cant get the quest.... Can someone confirm that you can do the quest if you AREN'T from Windurst?

Thanks
RE: Do you have to be from Windurst?
# Dec 12 2003 at 7:16 AM Rating: Default
You need Windhurst fame to receive this quests, done by completeing quests in Windhurst. Bastok fame only helps you get Bastok quests, and adds in with every other town's fame to your Jueno fame.
Wendigos?

Are the Wendigos in Horutoto Ruins Inner the only Wendigos that can drop test answers? Or can they drop off the Wendigos in Shakhrami Maze drop test answers as well?

The only way I know how to check it is by seeing exactly how many quests you have done in your quest log. (completed) A certain nunmber is required to do certain quests. Keep track of which quests (by name) give fame, or are generated in which area. Hope this helps a little..

Not so... In each town there is an NPC who will tell you if he's heard of you. If he says he's heard good things about you then you have some pretty good fame in the town. If they treat you like an old friend then you're really famous.

The person in windurst is in the Timbre Timbers Tavern, named Zabirego-Hajigo.

For the record, I had finished exactly 20 quests before getting this quest.. some more than once, but that was the number in my Completed window.
