Description

You need to complete the "Teacher's Pet" quest and have Fame Lvl 3 before you can obtain this quest.

The students' answer sheets from their recent written exam have been stolen. The School of Magic urgently requests that you track down the answer sheets and return them.

Talk to Tauwawa in the same room as Fuepepe. She mentions an advanced student, Chomoro-Kyotoro was waiting to meet Ms.Fuepepe but disappeared so doesn't know if the student met with the teacher.

Chomoro-Kyotoro will be found on top of the Aurastery in class. (K6) Others in class mention his nervousness.

The item needed is a 'RARE' item called Test Answers; description: a pile of test answer sheets.

You get Test Answers from killing Wendigoes inside the secret room of the 3 mages. That room is inside the Inner Horutoto Ruins and you need a Red Mage, Black Mage, and a White Mage to stand on the symbols outside the secret door.

As for the reward, it is a scroll of Aspir.

You take the answer sheets to Fuepepe who tells you to take them to the principal (Koru-Moru) in Walls. He tells you to return to Fuepepe and also gives you a key-item for Chomoro-Kyotoro.

When you speak with Fuepepe you recieve a scroll of Aspir (25BLM/20DRK).

I tried getting this quest ever since Windurst fame level 1. Still couldn't get it at fame level 2. Finally, got the quest as soon as I hit fame level 3.

For explanation of fame levels, see http://ffxi.allakhazam.com/forum.html?forum=11&mid=1075687192334166459&page=1

Ok we've tested this for a while (we being my ls) and the ONLY wendigos that drop the answers are the ones with scythes ^_^ hope this helps.
specific to wendigos

I did this quest last night with a group of four people. We found that the test answers dropped ONLY off of the Wendigos with scythes. The shield Wendigos only gave bone chips.

Took us about two hours to get 4 with one person in our group using Treasure Hunter. Someone else came in and wiped out all the Wendigos with the scythes in the middle of our hunting so that made us have to sit and wait a while for them to respawn.

So, I get the quest and go buy the test answers. I do the whole song and dance with Fuepepe and Koru-Moru. Once Koru-Moru gives me the key item and tells me to talk to Fuepepe again, I go back to Windurst Waters. (This is where I think I botched it.) I talk to Chomoro-Kyotoro first, then I talk to Fuepepe. However when I talk to him for the scond time, it doesn't end the quest. He just spouts off the same random noise he usually does. I tried re-zoning, but to no avail. If anyone has a fix for this, please let me know.
I fixed it.

If you get into this lamentable state, just grab another set of test answers and start over. Be sure to talk to Chomoro-Kyotoro last this time around.

RE: Fame
# Feb 21 2004 at 7:54 PM Rating: Default
It's not exactly a question of fame to do this quest. What you need to do first is complete the 'Teacher's Pet' quest, apparently. I couldn't get the quest until I did complete it.

i disagree... repeatables if done enough can make real good money (if items are farmed or fished) and get good fame while making a good profit (on some)... so keep doing repeatables, theres lots u can make money off if u research enough

#Anonymous, Posted: Feb 02 2004 at 5:10 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) For everyone who can't get the quest even with insanely high Windy fame, there is a quest you have to do before it, "Reap What You Sow". It comes from a kid in class on the balcony.
RE: Extra quest
# Feb 02 2004 at 6:14 PM Rating: Decent
NO accualy you don't, I found out you can do it at rank 2, i was just about 3 ot 4 quests short. And i have never, NEVER done that quest i know because i've never head of it before and i just checked my compleated quests list and... Nope not there. Maybe you think you had to do that quest because you were one quest short I know I was about to do mission 2/3 inorder to make sure, then i did a few quests and got it.
Rank?
# Jan 31 2004 at 11:17 PM Rating: Decent
I'm just wondering, as anybody been able to do this quest at Rank 2? Because I'm rank 2 and I'm 95% positive i've done enough quests (Have 20 on the list and then i've done the Crawler Calci one about 10 times) And i'm starting to think that you have to be rank 3 with 4 Rank points I asked a friend of mine to check it out (He is rank 3) but haven't heard back from him yet. So i guess I'm trying to say Has anybody done this quest at rank 2?
RE: Rank?
# Feb 08 2004 at 12:20 AM Rating: Default
I'm Windurst Rank 2 and I have this quest. I don't know how I got it. I just went in one day and got it. I haven't gotten the Let Sleeping Dogs Lie quest so I don't think that's a prerequisite.

I'm rank 5 from Sandoria with 45 quests completed in Windurst. Fuepepe STILL won't give me the quest, instead she keeps saying something about another teacher not knowing the students' names.

I have already completed the Teacher's Pet quest several times and I do NOT have the Let Sleeping Dogs Lie quest under my "Current Quests" tab. I've tried talking to every NPC in or around the Aurastery, but no dice...I still can't get the quest.

What am I doing wrong?

How much fame do I have if the Taru says "Hello there Stryder! There aren't many Windurstians who don't know that name." It's driving me nuts.

Um to the guys who actually did this quest the hard way
I /salute <t>

The easy way is to buy the Test Answers from the AH for 4k then turn them in and get the Aspir Scroll, no messy killing and never had to leave town. I'm a Drg/thf so I sold the Aspir scroll for 18k on the Ah after an dmade a profit of 14k - 14k in 5min sounds good to me :)

# Jan 25 2004 at 6:47 PM Rating: Default
Do you NEED to have mages to open the door? So a THF cant solo it without mages to unlock the symbols?
RE: mages
# Jan 29 2004 at 7:15 PM Rating: Default
You just need mages to do the mission, "Written in the Stars". But after you finish that mission the door will open anytime after that for you.

mages are required for the door to open, but they can just be 3 people, doent have to be party or anything. as long as you have one of each mage
Aspir mystery solved...

This quest has lately been my personal enemy. I absolutely refuused to pay 40-45k for a aspir scroll on ah when I could do the quest "solo" myself at my level (bought test answers off ah for 2k?).

I already had worked my fame up to get the Teleport-Mea quest. When I got my Whm to 50 and then started to level my BLM to 25+ I figured that this quest would be a cinch since I already had good fame (needed for teleport). Apparently I was wrong. I read about the aspir quest and tried talking to all the npc listed in the quest walkthrough, which included Mashuu-Ajuu, who babbled about Pakuu-Nakku sleeping in class. I just talked to Pakuu-Nakku on the way out. I apparently got the "Let sleeping dogs lie" quest without knowing it. I talked to Fuepepe again and got some reply about teaching a problem student, which I thought at the time meant I did not have enough fame.

Now I worked on my fame; when raised it a fame level, I would check back with Fuepepe and still got the same reply. Finally, and what a long time later..., I hit "Hero" fame in Windy. I was certain I could get the quest now..but I was wrong. I read posts about the "Teachers Pet" quest and I had done that once, so I did it about 6 more times and still nothing. Then I checked that I had the "Let Sleeping dogs lie" quest in my current quests, and I did not know I even had it.

So I did the quest and got the hypno staff. Re-zoned and talked to fuepepe and got the aspir quest at last...

So morale of the story, Don't get the "Let Sleeping Dogs lie" quest when you want aspir, or just finish it first. BTW the blazing peppers are easy to get in parshow, I got 6 of them with 4 sickles and they sell for 2k each in AH ;)

Now I have Hero Fame in windy and a scroll of aspir, yay!

Nother nice hint to raise fame in windy is to buy Cornettes off the ah and give them to guy in wind walls. The "Mandragora Mad" quest I think. I think I gave him over 60 cornettes. I bought them all off AH for 50-300 and you get 200 for each turn in. I think I spent like 2-3k tops, but I maxed my fame.
AHHHHHHHH

I did the sardine quest 50 times, remi shell quest 6 times and 2 other quests...still wont give me the aspire quest...
#Anonymous, Posted: Jan 20 2004 at 5:15 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) This is too complicated and there has been TOO much info given. I'm just gonna' fork out the 25,000gil for it.
Too much fame?
# Jan 18 2004 at 12:39 PM Rating: Default
Well, I got the test answers and turned them in, but when I went to go talk to the principle instead of completing this quest for me he gave me the Blast to the Past quest! Repeated attempts of communication thereafter failed with this npc as he was adamant that I finish his quest first. For those that don't know the blast to the past quest requires fighting a lvl 35-36 NM.

FYI: I'm a level 42 blm, and my windhurst quest count is at 31 (fame level is "I think I've heard people talking about you")

Yeah i did this quest no problem with that quest active so what you are observing I dont think is a real interference. You probably forgot to show the answers to Fueppe when you got back from the ruins. If you dont try and give them to him first then you wont be sent to give them to the principal..
