Description

You need to complete the "Teacher's Pet" quest and have Fame Lvl 3 before you can obtain this quest.

The students' answer sheets from their recent written exam have been stolen. The School of Magic urgently requests that you track down the answer sheets and return them.

Talk to Tauwawa in the same room as Fuepepe. She mentions an advanced student, Chomoro-Kyotoro was waiting to meet Ms.Fuepepe but disappeared so doesn't know if the student met with the teacher.

Chomoro-Kyotoro will be found on top of the Aurastery in class. (K6) Others in class mention his nervousness.

The item needed is a 'RARE' item called Test Answers; description: a pile of test answer sheets.

You get Test Answers from killing Wendigoes inside the secret room of the 3 mages. That room is inside the Inner Horutoto Ruins and you need a Red Mage, Black Mage, and a White Mage to stand on the symbols outside the secret door.

As for the reward, it is a scroll of Aspir.

You take the answer sheets to Fuepepe who tells you to take them to the principal (Koru-Moru) in Walls. He tells you to return to Fuepepe and also gives you a key-item for Chomoro-Kyotoro.

When you speak with Fuepepe you recieve a scroll of Aspir (25BLM/20DRK).

Finding the Test Answers

I am San d'Orian and cannot get into the wendigo room solo. Since I would rather not bug the requisite mages to open the door, I was wondering if anyone has gotten the Test Answers drop in Gusgen or Shakhrami.
just wondering

I'm curious as to ROUGHLY how many quests I should complete before attempting the Aspir quest here. I know that different quests affect your fame. 1 quest may not be worth as much fame as another. I've been questing in Windurst for 12hrs & completed 21 quests (6 more written down now, to do today). That's why I'm just asking a rough estimate. I talked w/ the Tarutaru that reports your fame lvl & I know I have fame lvl 2. That's why I'm just wondering. Any help on an estimate would be good. Thnx.
not level 15...

For me, I've finished "Teacher's Pet" quite some time ago, and I just recently finished "Let sleeping dogs lie". When I went to talk to Tauwawa and Fuepepe, they wouldn't give me the quest. To get it, I had to zone and come back, hope this helps some people.

What I am writing is just a compilation of everything below this post (older than my own) and my own experience, considering I did this quest once before, but originally sold the spell thinking that I wouldn't need it.

Well, I started a mule at level 1, no fame, no rank whatsoever, and only the 60g you get after doing Adventurer's Coupon quest. I needed the Aspir Scroll and I wasn't going to pay 30k for it.

Using my main, I farmed exactly 21 cornettes and 18 Crawler Calculus (plural is Calculi I know), 4 Wild Onions (for the Blaze Spikes scroll) and 1 Rarab Tail for the Justice Badge.

I traded them to my mule and after turning those items in at the Mandragora-Mad, Creepy Crawlies, and Star Onion Brigade NPCs, my mule had 5860g.

I next, went to check my fame with Zabirego-Hajigo... I was fame level 2 and my mule was STILL level 1. I knew another quick way to get fame up. I used 900g and bought a stack of Bastore Sardines. Then I proceeded to trade them in 1 at a time for 70g each at a loss of 60g total using the Something Fishy quest. In the end I had 5800g and my fame was level 3. The post below quoted, "Fame Level 3: Oh, you're the (playername) that people are starting to talk about. I've heard pretty good things about you."

From there, I went to the Aurastery in Windurst Waters to talk to Feupepe. I got nothing, except for the dialogue that hints you towards the "Teacher's Pet" quest. I asked someone in the area of West or East Sarutabaruta if they'd be willing to party with me so I can get those two items. I paid 900g total and got both items, and I'm still ahead by 4900g. I can now open this quest, and use the remaining gil I earned to purchase the Test Answers from the AH myself. There, I have Aspir again, and I'm still ahead by 500g give or take 500g depending on how much the Test Answers sell for on your server.

Much cheaper than buying it for 30k isn't it?
cant u buy this

i herd that u can buy the test answers in misc. part of AH

Getting through the mage door

If you've completed Windurst mission 3-2, you can trade the NPC at Heaven's Tower (the female secretary) a rollenberry to get a key to the 3 mage gate. From then on you can enter the area solo.

# Aug 04 2004 at 4:09 AM Rating: Decent
I am currently rank 5. I traded the rollenberry to the female secrectary Kupipi. She told me it was a nice gesture or something like that. Then she said the next time I come back she would have something for me. I've tried zoning. I have waited many in game days. I have max windy fame. Everytime I go back to her she goes on about how the Star Sybil is upset, which relates to M11. What am I doing wrong? Maybe I'm not waiting long enough. Please let me know how I eventually get that key.

If you are in the middle of a mission where Kupipi has specific dialogue for it, she will not give you the key item to get through the 3-mage door. You will have to complete your mission and come back.

You have to travel through the 3-mage gate in the horutoto ruins (see windurst mission 3-2). Once inside the gate, take a right through a fake wall. Pretty sure this is right (going from memory).

RE: Wendigos
# Jun 16 2004 at 7:37 AM Rating: Decent
you need to make your way all the way to the back past the gate to the magical ruins. its a room full of gamblers, leechers, muggers, and bats. From the door run straight across to the back wall and search for the cracked wall. proceed through that and you will now find Boggarts and bombs. Follow the tunnel to the big open area and you will see the sealed magical portal. Have Each mage stand in their respective circle and the portal will open. Once you get to the central chamber it will look like there is no way out, but the two corridors to your right actually have false walls, and behind them walls is a paladins dream. Tons of undeads... to get out there is 2 ways if your not a blm. 1) take the canal gate or 2) take the teleporter back to the sealed portal. When looking on the map you will see to bigger rooms, left is the canal and right is the teleporter.

Good luck I hope this helps you out ^_^

As soon as your fame hits level 3 in Windhurst, I recommend this quest. Test Answers can be bought from the AH (4,500 gil on Titan at the time of this post), and the scroll you get as a reward sells for 29,000-30,000 (again, on Titan at the time of this post). Over 25,000 gil profit as well as more fame and another quest under your belt... Great quest.

**NOTE: I posted this under anonymous but i never showed up so dont get mad for double post if it shows up**

Getting fame for aspir is easy. The only thing you have to do is make sure you inventory is empty and buy 30 cornettes from the bastok music shop (More if you ahve gobbie bags). Head to windurst Walls and turn them all in for Madragora-Mad. Turning the cornettes in is very easy you trade it to him and gives you a one liner and 200 gil and there is no zoning involved. This takes about a minute. Go back to bastok and fill up one more time. I would be safe and fill up completely so thats 60 times. Cornettes in bastok cost 256 and when you turn them in you get 200 gil. Not much of a loss and a quick way to get enough fame. Then just talk to Fuepepe in the Aurastry. He should give you the test answer quest.

This quest was a real pain, as getting fame in Windurst is very, very hard. For anyone confused, you need Fame 3.

Fame Level 1: (playername)? Hmm... Sorry, but I never heard that name before.

Fame Level 2: (playername)? Hmm... Now, was that the name of the...? No, that was some other lady.

Fame Level 3: Oh, you're the (playername) that people are starting to talk about. I've heard pretty good things about you.

It's a real pain, mostly because the NPCs are so far apart and far from the AHs and Mog Houses. Your best bet is to buy 10 stacks of bastore sardines in Sandy and then give them to the npc and zone back and forth for about an hour. Myself, I did 22 unique quests but couldn't get past rank 2, it was the 20 sardines I turned in that put me at fame 3.

ok so i have heard many things on this forum. i would like it if someone would conclude it all into the right fame rank and the right prequest to do before this

well so far i have heard some people doing it at rank 2 but more at rank 3

i have also heard of people needing to do the "let sleeping dogs lie" quest and the "teachers pet" quest.

someone plz just end all the garble and post the right info. thanks
RE: Conclusion
# Apr 18 2004 at 12:08 AM Rating: Decent
Thats the exact problem I am having. I have done teachers pet quest and completed it and tauwawa just gives me the same garble, nothing about the student. However I did somehow access the let sleeping dogs lie quest so if you folks cant get the aspir quest after teachers pet, see if you accessed let sleeping dogs lie first and finish it.

Your rank is irrelevant for fame in any city. It's all about accomplishing quests, not missions. Missions raise rank, and don't affect fame. Quests raise fame.

To get this quest, you need level 3 fame. You can check your fame by visiting Timbre Timbers Tavern in Windhurst Waters. There's an npc sitting at a table to the left as you enter. I forget his name. If he says, "Oh, you're the ----- that people are starting to talk about. I've heard pretty good things about you," that means you have accomplished enough quests in the city to get the quest for the Aspir scroll. If not, you need to do more quests.

You just need that level of fame, and to have completed the Teacher's Pet quest.

You have to finish the "Teachers Pet" Quest before this quest, at least if it's active. I have plenty of fame for aspir quest yet I couldn't activate it till i finished the Teacher's Pet quest. Hope that helps.

easy
# Apr 08 2004 at 9:11 AM Rating: Decent
it was relatively easy and of low cost to get my windurst fame up so i could do this quest. lol, on the ragnarok server, i doubled the price of cornettes and ****** up the economy with those cuz i bought about 30 of them and traded them in for the mandragora mad quest. most were 200 gil and you get the same amount back from the quest, although i paid as high as 450 for some. i also traded in 2 pinches of Yuhtunga sulfur or whatever to the same guy.

i also did about 4-5 non repeatable quests such as the one with the chocobo, the star brigade quests, and some others. I did the yagudo necklace one once, and the 2-leaf bud/bird feather one once as well. After i did bird feather one, i was able to start the aspir one.

just buy the test answers off of the AH for 4000 gil (its under others/misc). It sure beats paying 26k for this spell. once you have it, enjoy! its very useful when paired with Drain.

it took me an entire evening to do, so be warned, it takes some time. a LOT of walking and you have to farm mandragoras for the bud.

good luck!
What i did...it's vague..but at least some info

I worked on this quest on and off as my Drk. By in large I did 2 days worth of quests that you can do very simply around windurst. the harder ones I completed (the ones you had to leave windurst for) were the Mhaura quests with the sand charm, onion knights part 3 (need cotton in the canyon), found all four letters, and got the scorpion stinger quest done. Other than that I did almost no repeatables (sardines thrice, tenshodo nine times). I didn't think I'd have enough fame for this quest, but I did. I'd say i did about 25 original quests. Most of them you don't even have to leave saruta for.

I was stuck in this town for 2 days doing quests,
and one thing i hated about this place was the music and all those walk ways u have to walk on
that makes traveling in this town take so long.

But finaly after completing the fish quest 24 times and doing like 10~14 other quests,
i got the it so it was worth it.......
