Summary

Norejaie wants you to exterminate an ecological threat and bring her evidence of the feat.

Walkthrough

Norejaie is located in the Lion Springs Tavern at (K-6)

Also potentially referred to in game as the V.E.R.M.I.N. quest. It involves traveling to La Theine Plateau and heading into Ordelle's Caves. There Rojaireaut will "smear a scent on you" (cast a Level Down effect on you) to "draw the beast out" and then you're off to explore the caves and hope whatever jumps out at you.

You have to go to the bottom of Ordelle's Caves to find a stalactite with a ??? tag. When you click on it Necroplasm spawns. Due to the level cap it took two full parties to take down Necroplasm. He hit for around 100 on level 20 warriors. After beating Necroplasm, re-examine the ??? and receive a key item. Go back to the inn in Southern San d'Oria and you get 5,000 gil and a page of the Dragon Chronicles.

We tried this quest today, we were 14, we got it down to half it health and then all died.

HERES SOME TIPS

1.MAKE SURE U HAVE AS MANY HEALERS AS MELEE
2.MAKE SURE U HAVE A FEW BLMS!
3.TAKE IT SLOW AND TAKE UR TIME
4.TOTALLY CLEAR THE PATH BEFORE FIGHTING IT
5.HAVE A GOOD GROUP AND HAVE A BATTLE PLAN BEFOREHAND.

Ok I spent 2 hours getting a party and an alliance together for this. I died because of some dude was acting like an idiot trying to sneak around everything, but only ended up pulling 6 things to us. One bit of advice: Go slow; heal often; if there is something around you that can aggro, then just fight it and clear it, otherwise you'll end up with it on your *** in a bad spot to fight, then there will be 5 more monsters on you. Just take em 1 at a time, clear a slow path in front of you.

PS- Arshis- you frickin suck man. you don't know how to avoid aggro for crap.

when u get capped to lvl 20 will u still be able to equip the same armor u have. FOr instance if yur lvl 30 can u still equip lvl 30 armor although capped at 20?
RE: ya

yes it means no level anything higher than 20 can be equiped this is a frustrating thing if all your gear is over this level

Hey, I was wondering are there still anyone out there that wants to do this quest?
Im a level 21 White mage and have ventured into the cavern before. I think my party made a wrong turn and those poison funguars took us out when they linked. I really wanna do this quest though =P.
i got thumped too

yes, the eco - warrior quest does suck some serious ***. our party leader was a dumb *** and our scout fell in a hole. we followed him and then proceeded to get worked over by goblin shamans and some huge tough *** green things that looked like marlboros. THEN! when **** got hairy and we knew it was over... the guy who led us in and acted like he knew wtf he was talkin about WARPED HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

what a ****** ****!

i mean it was kinda funny watching the chaos take place in front of me. seeing our 12 man group spinter off and take all of the 7-8 mobs that aggro'd our party.

so, to all you wo stayed and fought so valliantly on 12-21-2003 at approx. 4:30 pm est
i salute you.

Knowledge sux... yes i said it. i saw that **** you *****.

I did this horrible quest and never finished it. Instead of going LEFT at the vermin agent... our stupid guide made us go right.... naturally our party was destroyed. HOWEVER, i did notice that there were 2 more ??? in a big room. Naturally, I did not touch it. But it seems to me that there's more than one Monster that can be fought. If so, does that mean 5,000 per monster key item collected?

Has anyone been brave enough to do this?

A warning

Let me warn everyone that this quest is a NIGHTMARE with a bad group. As in you WILL die with a group of stupid people. I was killed twice in an alliance of 18 people. Do not attempt this quest unless you are A) insane or B) have an amazing group with people who actually LISTEN.

I accepted the eco- war quest in windurst and have not completed it. Is that why I cannot accept the qeust in san d'oria?
High level help?
# Dec 10 2003 at 2:44 PM Rating: Default
From what I understand, if any +20 players go in to help and they don't have the level cap, they can't target the mob that spawns. But if you have a high level healer, could that player still heal the members of your party?
RE: High level help?
# Dec 24 2003 at 4:51 AM Rating: Default
No, a non-capped healer can not heal those who are capped. I've tried, it don't work.

Did this with just 1 group of 6 but it was a really good group and ended up being close.. so probably best with an alliance

i just finished this quest last night with one full party. It was tough but not necessarily need 3 parties. Good voke timing and good teamwork is all you need.

We had 5 lvl20s: Drag, Bard, DKnight, Samurai, Wh.Mage, and a lvl30(20 after lvl cap) Bl.Mage

ok i just want to tell ya'll...
if u do the eco-war quest...get at least 3 full alliance so that the chance ppl getting killed are slimmer

i tried for like 2 days...and we manage to get it done on the second day...the first day we're screwed cause our guide don't know a god damn thing about this quest...(get a good guide or a person who know the area where the quest is)

and dont ever invite ppl who likes to rushin in...they usually brings trouble...Major problem...which cost our pt...

if possible bring lvl 20 only...cause by that...some of us can get exp from each monster that aggro...if your pt went a met a monster called golliath bugs (forgot the name) DON'T ENGANGE IT ! those **** wasted half of the alliance

and last...when u reach the stalagtite where the monster is...wasted the monster around it first...like gobs and everything...don;t let any1 i mean...ANY1 touch the ??? mark yet...tell that to the noobs...after all clear...press it and gangbanged the NM...that;s it
a question
# Dec 18 2003 at 12:17 PM Rating: Default
Just wondering is everyone in the pt get to solve the quest, or just one person? if just one person then how did it decide who get to complete the quest?

No, everyone in the alliance needs to go back and click on the ??? after the NM is killed. I believe he's called a Necroplasm, for the one in San D'Oria at least.

When the party members click on the ??? after killing off the NM, they will each get a copy of the key item Indigested Stalagmite. Bring this back to the NPC in the Pub and receive your gil and reward. :)

The location is G-11 in the caves. It's inside a large dead end room, and it's at the upper right corner...if i remember right.

There's a similar mission given in windurst for the Shakazimi Maze. I've never seen the critters or anything. But it seems that this is a MAJOR quest that will require some serious high level party members.... as if the maze itself isnt hard enough!

It is called Eco-warrior. You have to go to the bottom of Ordelles to find a stalagtite with a ??? tag. When you click on it a beast spawns. Due to the level cap it took two full parties to take down the beast. He hit for around 100 on level 20 warriors. After beating thebeast, re-examine the ??? and receive a key item. Go back to the inn in South Sandoria and you get 5000 gil and a note, which when used grants you a random amoutn of exp from 500 to 1000.

Typo's happen ^^;

What scares me is... there's a similar one for... Bastok... and if they are in anyway comparable... I seriously doubt I'll be sending the rest of this quests data up anytime soon. @.@
