Pieuje's Decision - WHM AF3  

The NM is named Altedour I Tavnazia, he spawns on the circle between J-9 and J-10. Took 16 people ranging from lvl 56-65 to kill it. Main tank was full AF 65PLD. 3 WHMs and some RDM spammed Cures on the PLD and killed it in ~3 minutes. After the battle, most people still had 1/2 MP left so it's not too tough... The PLD didn't go anywhere near death. We fought it 2 more times for other 2 WHM ^.^;

the mob isnt hard as in having a ton of Hits however he does hit extremely hard

Ive completed this NM kill with several PTs the 3 pt allience req with 300tp is abit of an exageration

I should warn you tho that even a lvl 70 pld as your main tank will take enough damage to kill him in a matter of seconds if the healers arnt paying attention.

the last PT I had for this was prolly the best all round, it was all 58-62 with 1 main tank and a couple of drks lvl 62. one drk died (fair warning)

there were 2 whms 60 and 61 (I was the 60) the rest of the pt was BLMs and assorted damage dealers or PT was an allience of 11 people of this range.

as far as stratagy goes, just beat the heck out of it there is nothing fancy needed and it doesnt have a ton of hits as I said. Ive found IT mobs for xp that were harder. but it can liquify a PT with the damage it does very very fast.

Oh a side note, to finnish this quest DONT go back to the princes room in the castle, it ends with the same bishop that gives the af1 quest in the upstairs in the cathedral.

Yes, it is dark stalkers. The best spot to go to for dark stalkers is by dropping down the center area (you gotta have someone working the lever to get those doors open, but there's a lever just inside the doors too if you need to let that person in). Drop down the middle, go down the stairs, and a couple of rooms in are some human bones. It's a great spot -- 2 dark stalkers spawn in either room to the side, you can also pull things like liches or coffer droppers to there while you wait for the dark stalkers to respawn. Watch out for an earth elemental that can spawn near there though. The bells are EX but not RARE, so you might want to grab an extra one while you are there if you aren't sure you will do it the first time.

As for the fight itself, it's pretty tough but it wasn't anywhere near as bad as people make it sounds. Try to have a full alliance around high 50s or 60+, with a higher level tank preferred. The more healing power the better. To be ultra safe use something like stoneskin when you trigger the nm, as it usually will aggro on the whm first until the tank pulls it off.

for those who have faught the NM in feiyin, how hard is he. i read somewhere that u need an alliance of 15 lv 55 people. is this true? if it it then ill wait till i get to 60
