Party Setup= 2X RDM, 1X BLM, 1X NIN, 1X DRG, 1X DRK

ALL 60 Plus

Order of mobs killed

Paladin-First
Black Mage-Second BLM Responsible for sleeping
Warrior-Third or Fourth RDM Responsible for sleeping
Ranger-Third or Fourth RDM Responsible for sleeping

**Mages will need a few echo drops, you will get silenced by the BLM antica

1. BLM ES Sleepga II all four mobs
2. Ninja provokes Paladin, mages dispel and silence then save mp, drg and drk melee with nin
3. Ninja provokes Black Mage, mages dispel and silence then save mp, drg and drk melee with nin
4. Warrior or Ranger is killed next, really depending on which one seems to be the hardest to sleep, which is usually the warrior. It seems less threatening to get the Warrior out of the way before the Ranger, because the Ranger is not as life threatening and doesn’t take so long to kill because of its lower defense. So get the warrior out of the way while you've got the mp because once the warrior is done you can smoke the ranger.

**Didn’t nuke too much, generally saved mp for healing, and plus the ninja easily lost hate. Mainly because the people who had been assigned to sleep the mob had the most hate, so whenever they nuked or debuffed the mob they would gain back hate again fairly easy. Also, simple heals would cause hate to easily switch around.

**Sleeping the mobs wasn't a problem for either of the RDM's or the BLM. They were nearly always put to sleep by Sleep II, and if that failed, which was rare, Sleep always worked.

While one mob is being fought the others are being slept by either one of the RDM’s or the BLM. Up above shows who was responsible for sleeping which..

Overall this BCNM is very easy and IMO an easy gill maker. I’ve done it seven times and am currently 5/7 on evasion torques, which seems to be the most common torque drop. The ninjutsu torque along with the others seems to be a 7% drop from what I’ve seen. The elemental torque is by far the most rare and most expensive drop. I made 3.5m from one try on this BCNM, so IMO if you have the seals I would definitely consider using them on this one.

Quicksand Caves enter at D-12 in Western Altepa-Desert

Also, we broke the record on Titan!! woohoo

To easy but sometimes not worth it.
# Jan 11 2006 at 2:51 AM Rating: Default
Everytime I've done this I have had no luck with getting elemental ores or a elemental torque. I just did 6 runs and got two evasion torques which was a nice 6mil here on Cait Sith at the moment. Other than that the drops absolutely sucked. We had 5 BLM+ BRD. We destroyed this BCNM by starting with doing buffs. We then used an ES Sleepga 2 quickly on the Paladin so he gets off no or few buffs> FLAREx5+Fire Threnody on Paladin> Silence on BLM> ES Sleepga 2 the 3 Mobs> Rest MP> FLAREx5+Fire Threnody on BLM> ES Sleepga 2 the 2 mobs> Rest MP> FLAREx5+Fire Threnody on RNG> ES Sleep 2 the WAR> Rest MP> FLAREx5+Fire Threnody on the War. This finishes the fight. Can be done in 7-8min depending on how much food and drinks you bring and sub jobs. If all sub rdm + use yagudo drinks + soul voice ballad + Manafont you can easily do this within 3-5min.

Very easy BCNM, think ZM6 and even though this is capped it seemed easier.

Our setup for 6 sucessful runs

Rdm, Rdm, Blm, Mnk, Mnk, Ninja

BLM ES sleepga 2

then each mage is assigned somone to keep slept

Paladin first
Blm second
Ranger third
War last

Mnk own BCNM's 50+ 2 of us destroyed the mobs

Smashed record the last time, for a 7min run

Easy BCNM but the drops arnt worth the seals, wont be doing it again

I just did this on Siren with a group of complete newbs (including myself) and we absolutely dominated all 6 fights, 6/6. The setup was blm/whm, rdm/blm, rdm/blm, nin/war, rng/nin (me), sam/thf. Make sure mages have echo drops, 3/4 each fight is good, 2 stacks I'd recommend for a full 6 runs. The rdm's go and use protect/shell on theirself and one other person, each choose a target, the 2 are blm and tank, blm will just cast protectra 2 since the rng and sam practically take no hits. Rest to full then have the blm elemental seal sleepga 2 the 4 ants, full enfeebling magic at the 60 cap is recommended. The melee attack hoplomashus XI-XXVI, like in ZM6, this ant tends to resist sleep the most, though it only resisted once for us. He is the longest kill but he's still pretty easy. Meanwhile each mage has been assigned a specific target. One rdm will gravity and debuff the ranger, one rdm will debuff the war, and the blm will focus on keeping the blm slept. You should do better because my blm was attacking and ignoring his target haha. The pld will use invincible, the ants normally wake up somewhere around this time, each mage sleeps his mob, rdm's with elemental seal, and then start nuking the pld ant. Once the pld ant is dead the battle is already over. You then kill the blm ant, freeing up the blm to help you and the blm goes down fast, keep it silenced and you won't even know it used a 2hr. Kill the ranger next, as this seems to be the biggest DD, it got EES off on my ninja once and it did around 800 damage, he lived (whew) I'm confident we would've been fine without him at this point though, my rdm's didn't even have to use convert, one did for fun each fight but he had enough mp to finish the fight. With 2 hours we lost the record by 4 seconds because of the blm meleeing, he wasn't paying attention and the blm ant used sleepga and killed the blm before we could get rdm's to wake us up (note: rdm's are healing everyone for the main part during the fight).the war is no trouble, with nin tank he never touches you, but he normally goes after the rdm for awhile, I hope this helps you all and hope you do well.

drops: 2 evasion torque, 3 ninjutsu torque, 2 elemental torque, 3 raise2, 1 fire ore, (2 torque per fight).

money: we made about 1.3-1.5mil each, waiting for stuff to sell ^^, we had 100/98 % full moon, that helped drops quite a bit ^^.

Manaburn BCMN60. Is it possible?
# May 27 2005 at 3:21 AM Rating: Decent
I was reading the posts on here, and it came to my attention that it could be possible to manaburn.

We went with BLM/BLM/BLM/BLM/BRD/PLD.
The first time we went we went we failed.
The second time we came up with a better stradgey.
Buff insaide like all BCMNs.
Once inside have the PLD run in and take all of the aggro, have the BRD aoe sleep the ants.
We killed them in the order of PLD>BLM>WAR>RNG.
Each BLM will cast Flare and the PLD will go down from those 4 Flares with ease.
Of course while all of this is happening the BRD and the PLD are provoking/sleeping the rest of the ants.
Now for the BLM, FLare>AeroIII will kill it.
From here on, just kill them one by one with Flare>AeroIII.
None of us brought Food or Drinks and we were fine.

I hope that you can try this and succed

Just did 5/5 successful runs on this with PLD (me), WHM, RDM (didn't bring an orb, just helping out), BLM, DRK, MNK. Got 2 Raise II scrolls, 2 Elemental Torques and 1 Evasion Torque, 15k gil each and a bunch of less valuable drops. Seems 2 torques drop per win as well as about 4 other drops. No elemental ores, but I did see gold ingots, steel ingots, platinum beastcoins (very common drop, 1-2 dropped every time) a moonstone and a couple other gems. We ended up with about 700k/person.

This is a very easy BCNM. I only brought Fishkabobs and Echo Drops and didn't even bother with drinks or other meds. We never came close to losing or had any deaths, and we set the record on our server at 9:30 (although I'm sure Manaburn could win this in seconds). Basically BLM starts by using Elemental Seal + Sleepga II. BLM resleeps them as needed and RDM sleeps any that resist the BLM. We killed them in the order of BLM (keep silenced and stun ancient magic casts) -> PLD -> WAR -> RNG. The PLD takes forever to kill, but it's recommended he be taken out 2nd because of his high resistance to sleep. Only rough spot is killing the PLD, after that it's pretty smooth sailing.

Aside from BCNM40 it seems like people prefer to use Sleep I, II, and Sleepga in the other BCNM battles ... how might this BCNM (and other level 60 battles) be with a BRD doing most of the sleeping?

I just did this as a Bard and Its too risky for them to be main sleeper. I did play as a support sleeper and did ok. Sleepga 2 pretty much lasted for the first mob(BLM). I woulnd't reccomend playing any songs when your on the second mob(War). You'll have to be keeping 2 mobs asleep and reblinking. Once you get to the 3rd Antican (PLD) its pretty easy. you can then play other songs while keeping the Ranger asleep.

ok, we had 6 people but the first orb we used the pld d/c and couldnt go inside after he got back so we all exited and did the other 5 orbs.
party was pld,war,thf,whm,blm, and rdm(me) ^^
5/5 on this bcnm

after we enter we do our buffs, rdm and blm both use elemental seal. pld runs in and they all argo him. rdm casts silence on the blm (far right w/ staff) at the same time the blm casts sleepga.

the 3 melee take the blm ant while blm gets ready to be slapped by the 3 ants he slept, the rdm uses sleep2 on the ranger (far left)**sleep2 stacks over sleep1/sleepga** when the pld and war wake up rdm and blm sleep2 them

by the time the ranger wakes up the melee should be finished with the blm. if not then just sleep1 it so you dont get extra hate.

rdm should be the only one sleeping the 2 left (war and pld) when the melee finish off the ranger the rdm casts refresh on who needs it, blm and rdm both cast sleep2 on the last 2 mobs then everyone rests their mp.**use darkstaff**

now it gets a little tricky since rdm should have lots of hate by now. if the 2 ants left wake up and attack the rdm then rdm sleep2 the pld and sleep1 the war. rdm prolly will be low mp after the little rest he gets during this part. after they are both fresh asleep then convert and let the pld cure you up to gain hate.

(rdm should use Phalanx, Stone Skin, Blink, and shock spikes up on this part)

cast gravity on the pld and stand across the battlefield, refresh everyone, melee will grab the war ant (pick wielder) and start killing it. the pld will wake up and come after the rdm still, and by this time it will have alot of sleep resistance built up.

one of our fights we tried to sleep it like 10 times! this is why you cast gravity on it to the end of the fight and not at the beginning.

after the melee defeat the war, the pld and the war use provoke on the pld while its still asleep to take down the hate from the rdm. after a couple provokes then it should be good :D

during a couple fights the melee got petrified and the ant went for the whm, so whm should keep up blink/stoneskin

we all made about 200k, not too bad since we wasted the 1st orb

Did this one another 6 times and I have 3 little things to add.
Dispelling the PLD (get rid of Shell) really helps his Sleep last a lot longer.

Gravity rules (ok I mentioned that one already but it really does).

Do not under any circumstances go on Lightsday. (We are special and weren't really thinking about how bad Lightsday was going to be for sticking sleep :) at least until after we were all dead)

I did this one over the weekend. We were 8/8 on it and I think I netted about 400K in profit(after we gave away one of the elemental torques to our BLM).

Anyway, we used a similar strategy as other poster's. It's actually scary how easy this BCNM is compared to those evil mandys. ><

We went in with PLD/WAR RDM/BLM (me) WHM/BLM BLM/WHM DRK/THF DRG/SAM

Echo drops are definitely essential. We all had them macroed. Mages also used poison potions as we were entering arena as the Retiarius (blm) loves to use Sleepga right off the bat.

We killed in this order: Retiarius>Secutor>Centurio>Hoplomashus

Our strategy was very close to the other poster's. PLD gathered mobs... BLM ES+Sleepga II. WHM silences the Retiarius. PLD and melees pound away.

RDM casts Haste on self and BLM (we actually did this before entering circle). RDM casts Gravity or Bind on 3 sleeping ants. Gravity and Bind do not wake the mobs but it gives you more time to resleep as they wake without getting hit. The PLD wakes up more frequently than the others. BLM and RDM recast sleep as needed.

PLD & melees pick off others one at a time. The PLD switched to Earth Staff for Secutor as he does Mighty Strikes. Make sure your tank stays full on the Centurio as Eagle Eye Shot can do some nasty damage. With a little help from Dispel the Hoplomachas is no big deal. However, as soon as he used Invincible, the melee's would turn around and we would sleep him for the 30 secs and then re-engage.

We didn't break any kill time records but we won every battle and only used half of our time allotted. Two deaths occured during all 8 battles but were either accidental or couldn't be helped. One the DRK did SATA Guillotine onto the DRG and then realized her High Jump timer wasn't up. The other was on Earthsday and the BLM and I were having a rough time of getting sleep to stick. The Hop. just wouldn't stay asleep and tore through my stoneskin before anyone had a chance to heal me. YAY for Raise II! ^^

Other than that we had an absolute blast, made a ton of money, and were frankly very sad when we all ran out of beastman seals!

Good luck!

I'm going to try it to find out...

But if you get ANY of the good drops (and there are several) you can make lots... mysterytour also lists the Wind Torque dropping here... it's a 700-800k item on Fairy.

I'll post my results next week.

I would say, no the drops are not that good in this bcnm are not that good. you could walk away with a 1M item, but it is rare. Most likely you will probably leave with .4-.5m total.

We just beat this BCNM on Valefor. All in all, it turned out to be an easy fight, and we ended up beating the best time on the server!

Here's some helpful advice:

Required Stuff: Echo drops, make sure every caster has 3 for every time you plan to do the BCNM.

Reccomended Stuff: Hi-Ether's for the mages, Hi-Potions for the melee. The mobs like to do AE-Silence and AE-Petrify as abilities. We didn't end up using these, but it's not a bad idea to have them around.

The group we used: PLD/WAR, RDM/NIN, SAM/RNG, BLM/WHM, WHM/BLM, THF/NIN

The way we did it was have the RDM and BLM run up first. The BLM has Blink and Elemental Seal up before entering the room. Then he cast Sleepga II on the whole bunch. In all honesty, this wasn't a good way to go, and you're better off having the PLD go first, veer right (towards the BLM mob) and cluster them a bit. The second time we did it, we had issues with the BLM getting interrupted trying to Sleep. The RDM's job is to back up the BLM by sleeping any that get missed/resist. At that point, you basically want to kill them in the order of fastest to kill to slowest to kill. (because the longer it takes you to kill the mob, the more that can go wrong with the other mobs) So, kill the BLM mob first, the RNG second, the WAR third, and the PLD last. The BLM mob should be woken with Silence, and just make sure all three casters know that it's essential for him to keep quiet. Then he'll be a pushover. The RNG mob WILL use Eagle Eye shot, so make sure everyone is in white health while fighting him. The WAR and PLD mobs are easy, but they just take a while to kill because of their high HP and defense.

Happy Hunting
