Summary

A mysterious character living on Purgonorgo Isle in Bibiki Bay insists that the island belongs to him. Chipmy-Popmy wants you to participate in the next "debate" over ownership, set to take place in the center of the island.

Walkthrough

After talking to Chipmy-Popmy, you need to go to the Manaclipper in Bibiki Bay. The clipper does three tours. You want the tour that goes out to Purgonorgo Isle (there is enough time between tours to buy another ticket if you're fast). Once on the Isle follow the path to H-9 near the center of the isle. There is a ???. This will pop 6 Peerifools (Mandragora type mobs). Watch for linking from other mobs in the area. Once defeated, examine the ??? again for a cutscene and the key item "Deed to Purgonorgo Isle".

Go back to Chipmy-Popmy for another cutscene. Now you need to track down one of the Mithran Trackers in Attohwa Chasm. You will need to zone into Boneyard Gully. Attohwa Chasm, even with a map, is very confusing. Fortunately, most of the tunnels are one way or have very short dead-ends. Be careful. Mobs in the center of the map (chasm/mountain area) con TW to lvl 59). Mobs in the eastern part of the map con TW-EP (most EPs are in the lower South-East corner) to lvl 59. Mobs in the western part of the map con VT-IT+ to lvl 59. You need to go through all three areas to get to the Gully.

Enter Attohwa Chasm from the Maze of Shakhrami. Follow the path to the chasm. Cross the bridge (very important) and follow the path. At (H-10) there is a dead end. Head east from this point and it will take you into the lower level eastern side of the map. Follow the mountainside north to (I-8). There is a cave to take you back into the mountain/chasm area. Follow the path (there is another dead end shortly into the area, head south not west). The path winds in all directions and takes you all over the chasm.

At (G-7) there is another dead end, head north. You will cross three bridges before you get to the end. Be very careful once you see the tunnel exit because antlions come very close to the mountain. Use Sneak/Invisible and follow the mountain north. At (F-6), there is another tunnel entrance. Follow this tunnel and cross one bridge to the Boneyard Gully zone, in the eastern part of (G-6). Once you zone, you will have another cutscene.

After the cutscene, you receive the key item, Map of Attohwa Chasm. Return to Chipmy-Popmy for another cutscene and 1200 gil.

I did this last night. There are eight black mandras, not six. They are not charmable. Also, they will link with the surrounding weaker Mandies so best to clear those out of the way first. Sneaking and then clicking doesn't prevent them from attacking upon spawning, either. Best of luck.

the section with the IT mobs (The flys, lizards, and antlions) on the way to bonyard are non aggro so don't worry about sneak and invisible.

As a level 60 thief, the mandragoras barely hit me and didn't hurt very much either (maybe 20 at the highest). However, they have ~2000 life each so it's best to bring at least one friend. For a gauge of how difficult this would be, gather a hoard of Yhotor Mandraogras, as they should be close to the same level with less life.

If you explore the Gully, you will come across a Goblin Footprint and some of the black gas emitting from the ground. You can target this gas. The gas is called Dark Miasma.

Return to Chipmy-Popmy for another cutscene and 1200 gil.

Would a pack of lvl 54's be able to take out the mandragora NM's on that island? So far i've only seen lvl 70+'s saying they can take it out by themselves or solo it..

I wandered about attowha yesterday... on the hard side.. accidently found the boneyard chasm.. you don't need anything but sneak. I had invis down for most of the time and nothing came after me.. It's the other side that have the goblins.

found this guy though: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v358/telliani/NA-arch-corse.jpg

I did it with a 56 BST , 60 SMN and 60 PLD. We fought 7 or 8 spawned mandys (we cleared the are beforehand). We did it easy so I think a party of 54s would have no prob.

I would guess the spawned mandy are about 5 levels higher then local ones based on what damage my pet did.

Now it is time to find the Mithra Tracker.

I followed this guide to the "T" and it will defintely get you to Boneyard Gully safely and with minimal confusion. Boneyard Gully appears to be a small BC-type area (mapping disabled).

Note that there are 6 Perifools that spawn but there are two Alrunes in the same area that will link. An RDM using sleepaga, stoneskin, phalanx can easily solo the Perifools + Alrune links.

At the point where the guide says "be very careful once you see the tunnel exit", you will encounter Tracker Antlions that are DC to level 74. Sneak is essential; I am not sure Invisible has any benefit but, it can't hurt to have it up. You may also be hit with the poison "Gasporia" that occasionaly comes out of the crevices in the ground. Gasporia can cause you to lose in the neighborhood of 300hp before it wears off.

Once you get the map, you will be amazed at how totally uninformative it is. However, the cutscenes make a nice consolation including a close-up look at Tiamat.

You should have at least Fame 6, I believe. People with 4 in my LS couldn't get it.

I had thought I was Fame 5 when I got it, but found out that I was probably already 6.

You may not have received the quest because this quest _requires_ CoP. If not, it may require a certain level of fame :/ Im hero in windurst

Also, there is some trickery going on in Attohwa Chasm.. In soloing my trip to the chasm for cutscene, all the Tracer Antlions, as well as everything else in the chasm conned {Too Weak}.. until you get to the very end, suddenly the very same named mobs (Tracer Antlion) become IT++.

Careful :)

Is there a certain amount of fame required for this quest? I talked to Chipmy-Popmy and allhe said was somethin about this being the fishing guild, no cut scene. I was given no instruction as to lead me to believe I was on a quest.

Yes, I had level 5 fame when I finally recieved this quest. Just completed it tonight, me and my friend 70PLD/WAR [I`m 63BRD/WHM] took down the mandies easy. We had two links, so a total of eight. Lullaby lasted about 20-24 seconds. Entire fight took about 6-10 minutes.

The antlions before boneyard gully don`t aggro. And the cutscene is saucesome.
