SummaryA piece of artifact gear lays hidden in a coffer in Garlaige Citadel. WalkthroughBefore starting this quest, you must first activate the quest Borghertz's Wild Hands. You must also have completed Wings of Gold - BST AF1. First, you need a Garlaige Coffer Key from Garlaige Citadel. Keys drop from vault weapons, over weapons, Hellmines, Magic Jugs, Fallen Mages and Fallen Majors. After obtaining a key, find a treasure coffer. whats the time for a coffer to re-pop once its been opened, ive helped 3 partys thru all the gates and all they did was run straight to the coffer get there af and HP. Its nice to see how some of the ppl we play with are only worried about themselves and could care less about returning a favor
Easily soloed hellmines in the garlaige citadel basement for this af at 54. My exp counts were something like this with empress band--
350 xp
chain 1 450 exp
chain 2 482 exp
Just don't melee, and stay away from them. I had to use some tough pets but thats no problem since the mobs go down fast usually anyway. I could dodge any mischarm hits if I was alert. I got the key before reaching 55. The exp counts won't be quite as good with any competiton, which I experienced later.
Though there were a couple deaths other than my own from the hellmines I was fighting, even though I was fighting out in the open, one of which just happened to be a lv 75 gilseller. I guess that would make us even for that other time? {I'm sorry.} to the other person. Be careful of this.

If you can't get past the gates, drop to the basement. There are 4 hellmines there. Did it with me 55 bst and 54 bst. We were going for key but got good xp also. Do not do this when Serkhet is gonna pop as when we 1st got there all the gill sellers were out so we had no pets. I think th emagic pots there also drop the key.

Hellmines are probably a best bet for a solo bst, since you can easily solo them @56. They are good xp and have a decent drop rate for a coffer key.
Yep. At 56, get help through Banishing Gate 2; back there are beetles to use as pets and Hellmines to hunt. So you can get your key and coffer in one trip.
Between bomb spawns, you can kill off the tough beetles using Acid Greases from outside the gate. To charm the Greases, either stand right up against the gate or go all the way west to just before the drop; in both these places you will be on the previous map, so the Greases will show up on wide scan. Track them and use /ta <scan> to target them.
No, Fallen Officers don't drop coffer keys. They drop chest keys.
While you're behind gate 2, you could also do the Making Amens! and Rubbish Day quests.
