Switchstix in Castle Zvahl Baileys can upgrade degraded weapons if you bring him the things he wants.

The first upgrade will require:

Fee: One Hundred Byne Bill x5

The Relic Gun is dropped in Dynamis - San d'Oria. The Rainbow Cloth is a high level Clothcraft item. The Darksteel Ingot is a high level Smithing item. The Marksman's Oil is obtained either by high level Alchemy or by trading 20 One Hundred Byne Bills to the Goblin NPC in Beadeaux). Trade all four items and payment in Byne Bills to Switchstix and he will upgrade it to a Marksman Gun.

The second upgrade will require:

Fee: Lungo-Nango Jadeshells x15

Trade these four items and the fee to Switchstix and he will upgrade the Marksman's Gun to a Dynamis gun. You will need to wait one Earth week.

The third upgrade will require:

Fee: Montiont Silverpiece x62

The Attestation of Accuracy drops from the notorious monster Velosareon in Dynamis - Beaucedine. Trade these two items and the fee to Switchstix, who will upgrade it to a Ferdinand. The Ferdinand will allow you to use the special weaponskill Coronach, but only in Dynamis areas. This will take exactly 82 hours from when it was traded. This will take 82 hours from the time it was traded in.

The fourth upgrade will require:

Fee: Ten Thousand Byne Bill x1

The Ethereal Fragment is obtained from the Animated Gun in Dynamis - Xarcabard.

Trade the Ferdinand, the fragment, the Necropsyche, and the currency to the ??? at the Research Institute to receive your Annihilator, a cutscene, and 30 One Hundred Byne Bills.

So we got a person who is bring Gilsellers into Dynamis on Cait sith named Ryudo. They are trying to sell currency for 50k per single unit and 5mil per 100 unit. Well I guess Relic weapons will become harder to get if you plan on buying currency and items from these FOOLS.

by the way...

Considering if your going to sell them for that much why buy it when EVERY ONE ELSE sells for 15k??????????????????? Really its pretty stupid

Jump on the band wagon if your on cait sith!

chances are they are being sold by gilseller mules and/or Ryudo's henchmen.
2nd gun upgrade items

For the second upgrade, you need the following:
-Marksman's Gun (obtained from previous upgrade)
-Bandit's Gun (low level bonecrafting/smithing synthesis)
-Matchlock Gun (medium level smithing/goldsmithing/woodworking synthesis)

-Hellfire (high level smithing/woodworking/goldsmithing synthesis)
Once you trade Switchstix these four items, he will tell you once again to come back in a certain amount of time, but this time he will take longer. When you do, you will need to pay a commission fee of 15 Lungo-Nango Jadeshells. When you give the fee, you'll receive the Dynamis Gun.

I am not sure if this is wrong or if Switchstix can ask for different weapons each for different players. Switchstix asked me for the following the other day:

Pirate's Gun
Marksman's Gun

I went prepared with the Matchlock Gun and the Bandit's Gun only to have to go back to Jeuno and get the correct guns I listed above. Before you buy/craft the other guns to turn in I suggest talk to Switchstix with the Marksman's Gun in your inventory and find out what he wants then go get your materials. The fee listed here is correct - 15 L. Jadeshells.

As for the third gun upgrade fee, 3 of 4 JP sites I have translated say it is 64 M. Silverpieces. I'll post a followup when I can verify this.

*edit* dammit mispelled "plagiarism"

geez leftytharanjah, not that i really care, but it was kind of spooky to be reading my own words here, knowing that i didnt send in anything ;-) ...

(5th post from the bottom)

anyways, nice cut and past job. you took what i said, but changed it enough to show me that you havn't really done any of this stuff yet, and you're off a bit on some of the things you're talking about.

First off, the attestations only drop off the Shadow NMs. they arent rare drops off the regular shadows. The latest theory we have is that they drop the weapon attestation for the job of the last non NM shadow you killed previous, but I'm not positive of this, it could be coincidence.

Secondly, the regular hydra shadow mobs arent always wearing their job's af2 armor. sometimes you will see things like a Hydra Blackmage running around in PLD af2, or non af2 even. its kinda weird.

The animated gun is not a "Weapon" type mob like the "Evil Weapons" in the areas around Jeuno and all over Tu'Lia. its the actual Relic Weapon Fully upgraded model. It floats, uses the Special WS on you and has back up floating weapons, usually other generic weapon models. And you are totally guessing on the currency cost for the last stage. Nobody knows right now how much it is.

im flattered you copied my explanation, but try not to spread rumors and theory as fact. And the fact is that the final stage upgrade process is a lot of guessing and speculation right now.
