no strategy tips, not even a listing of the NM? GOOD JOB, can't even rate it down cos your software is crap...

"Can't call method "prepare" on an undefined value at /mnt/sites/ffxi/qrate.pl line 17, <GEN13> line 597"

Am I gonna waste further time sending your site master an e-mail? no. I'll just let you continue to suck.

Dude wth is your problem, why don't you do the BCNM and put some information on it then, why would you flame someone on their site about how their info is. They do updates on things daily and a good number of them, do you really think they have the time to actually go through all of this in game to give us information on it while still keeping the site up-to-date. I'm surprised pikko and the other people who work on this site still have time to play considering all the new stuff added to this game.
Easy

RNG RNG WHM = Win, very easy fight. I suggest going RNG/WAR though as 90% of his shots cannot be blinked and the extra dmg output and HP would be nice.

rng goes to right side upon initial entry .. and whm stays at gate and rdm goes to left side.. sorry fo rthe error below.

went in with whm/sum (myself), rdm/whm who changed to rdm/blm after first fight, and rng/nin. first time we took to long although we had him. getting hte feel of him. second time we went in we lost our rng so the third timme and there after we found what really works. and we have broken the record each time we tried it by a minute each time. Go in buff prot and shell 3's for all rest mp quickly, rdm cast refresh on whm then theirselves. Go up to fight and rng goes in with barrage and sharpshot and takes initial hate. he goes to far left keeping mob in center. whm enters just to gate and rdm goes to left side but within rnage of obth in perfect triangle. mob wont move around this way. rdm casts paralyze and slow til it hits while helping cast cure 2 only on rng. whm is doing the same only cure 2 as that is all you will need. let rng continue hitting weapon skilling as necessary til mob is essentially dead. you will begin to realize as you go along that you wil lhave an abundance of mp available for various such other dmg spells .. whm/smn dont be tempted to bring avatar out as you will not have enough mp and it doesnt help really for the mp waste you will have. htats it. good luck all .. High Society Rules!

Possible other drops not listed include:

Mithryl Beastcoin
Gold Beastcoin
Platinum Beastcoin
Gold Ingot
Teleport Ring: Vahzl
Black Rock
High Reraiser
Demon Quiver

As stated 3 Quivers seem a constant drop, as are 4 Beastcoins of assorted types and 1 Teleport Ring. There will be 2 other drops, a random item and either the cape or the Trainer's Wrist. 5K Gil for each PT member as well.

I just did this BCNM with my loved ones (boyfriend and bestfriend) and won! PT setup was:

Nohn (Mithra pld/war)
Rikuide (Elvaan whm/smn)
Kross (Elvaan sam/war)

We are proof that this can be done w/o RNGs and/or BLMs. Our strategy? Simple~! Whenever the mob would bindga, WHM would Erase the SAM. SAM had to use his 2hr (Way to go Meikyo Shisui!) and got the warmachine down to 1/2 its health points. I kept hate and it would shoot at me for the most part. At one point, the WHM used Divine Seal + Erase. That's when I made a mad dash to the warmachine and tried to get a few hits before it binded me again. There aren't really any tricks to this though. Skills and knowing how to play your job well are a must.

Congrats sweethearts~ Proud of ya! ^_^

Did this three times last night and broke the previous record each time. Pt was rng/nin rng/nin whm/smn. After buffing up we invisied and got into position - rngs on either side, whm in the middle. Cape dropped 2/3 of the time, gloves the other. seems 3 demon arrow quivers is 100% drop, plus a half dozen coins (gld, plt and mth). Plus we got 2 tele-holla rings and 1 tele-vahzl ring. The fight was tons of fun.

However, rngs tried it with a blm instead of a whm (figuring it'd be tight, but possible (EES was only used on our first run, so they had it incase of trouble) and the mob was porting and moving all over the place. Pt setup seems to really effect the mobs behavior.

not much is known about this BCNM obviously... but im wondering... 3 blm? how fast does he throw his aoe projectiles? would stun be able to stop them? can you bind him?

so he resist magic hmm... bard... blackmage still (id say drk but melee is crap supposedly and a ranger... unless theres something other than stun which is as effective from a range... (im not a rng so i wouldnt know but are there stun arrows or something?) but still... i know nothing about bard either (any binding songs?)

I was hoping for something like that too, as a BLM >.<

Seems like having at least 1 RNG would be a good idea, as well a RDM or WHM healer. Maybe I can fit in my BLM in the third slot ^_^;
erase

why not try erase when he uses bindga? just a thought so melee could join in. please correct me if im wrong

Because Erase is WHM32, the only way to have Erase in this BCNM is if you bring a main job WHM. As with most BCNM60, it isn't as practical to bring a WHM solely for Erase due to a lack of party slots, so most people go with a RDM. WHM are very useful in Wild Wild Whiskers and such because they can contribute more than just Erase in those BCNM, though.

Tried this one tonight. Set up was rdm/blm rdm/blm drk/rng. Beaten badly. Basically he casts bindga then 1-4 other spells. I would suggest avoiding getting bound together. Aspir and drain are worthless, as you'll get less than the mp to cast them with a dark staff. His ranged attacks do 200-300 dmg. He resists magic. Most of our spells hit for half damage. Our drk was able to hit with bolts for 60-80 dmg a hit, and sidewinder for 340ish.

Don't get bound together. He only uses 2 aoe att from my experience. Bindga, and a fire based one. If you spread out blink/utsu should be able to eat alot of damage. rng appear critical. This mob resists magic/enfeebles.

The other day me (66 PLD) and two of my friends, a WHM and DRK decided to do some trailblazing. We only did two of the new 3 man 60's, but seeing as the other one has a trick to it and is still profitable and I have seals, I'll hold off on posting about that for a few days. Anyway. In this arena you have 15 minutes to defeat an Orcish Warmachine type mob. Can't remember the exact name, but that isn't important. The trick to this mob is that it loooves to use Bindga And then run out of range. And then use ranged attacks, of which he has several, at least one of which, if not all I believe were area of effect. All were fire based. You can use your imagination to get a fairly good idea of how successful we were. We couldn't hit it, so we were more or less sunk from the beginning. This is definitely a BCNM where BLMs and Rangers will excel, melee DD's have no place whatsoever here. A tank is not needed, seeing as the warmachine will never get close enough to hit you. Based on my limited experience the ideal party I would recommend for this is

RNG/NIN or /WAR
RNG/NIN or /WAR
WHM/SMN or RDM/SMN.

I would expect BLMs to also fare well at this.

Blink gets shredded too fast with the AOE projectiles to be of much use, and the added damage from a warrior sub will help to put it down fast. Curaga is not needed, nor is healing of status ailments other than bind, and if you position yourself correctly, that should never be a problem. Just spread the members out to three corners of the arena and the AOEs and bindgas should never hit more than one person at once.

As to tactics change based on health, I can't really comment, as we had no real way to effectively lower its hp. Same concerning drops.

Edit: I don't know why someone would want to rate me down for posting useful information that I posted in the Missions forum to begin with, but hey, whatever floats your boat.

Me and some friends just did this 30min ago. Setup was blm/whm, rdm/blm and rng/nin (me). The Warmachine's fire based ranged attacks go through shadows. The only thing that shadows might eat is some damage on is Burst. It consistently did 257 damage on me with FireBomb. Burst did 130-175 damage. Rdm and Blm had to constantly cure me and themselves, so they couldn't really nuke much. Hope that helps a little.
