Summary

If you want to befriend the infamous Cat Burglar, then you'll have to give her something she likes.

Walkthrough

Talk to Nanaa Mihgo at J-3 in Windurst Woods, and then talk to her henchman, Cha Lebagta, who is standing near her. Then trade four Yagudo Bead Necklaces to Nanaa Mihgo to complete the quest and receive your reward.

This quest is repeatable and helps to increase you Tenshodo fame. This quest will not increase your fame in Windurst.

How are these "Henchmen"? Whe was standing by herself when I last went there.

The two henchmen are Cha Lebagta and Bopa Greso; you run past them just a few paces before you reach Nanaa Mihgo. They don't move from their spots. :)

Help Please?

Having a problem being able to do this quest anymore, did the Mission Rank 2 number 2 and now she's mad and says: I can't stand to see the sight of you right now, if i was you i wouldn't come showing up around here anytime soon. She gave me the quest for the stone you take to Bastok Goldsmith's guild but won't take any neclaces from me. Have tried starting the next mission and have also done numerous quests since i realized she wouldn't take the neclaces anymore. Anyone know how to get her off of that time of the month? Thanks =P

I personally have the stone quest assigned to me and am able to trad ein necklaces. This may be related to one of the cat burglar quests, see if you have any of those pending or not completed is my only suggestion.

Hi. I've been playing about a month, and just finished the ninja flag recently. I got to level 12 and wanted to get blink... so I read up and learned about the rice ball prices.

When i went to jeuno, rice balls cost 168g.

I turned in 48 yagudo neclaces, and that lowered the price to 164.

That says to me that ((your price - 152)x12) = how many neclaces you need to turn in.

I've turned in 72 now but havent checked on the prices. For me, ((168-152)*12) = 192. I'll probably do 216 just to be very safe (getting to jeuno to check rice ball price = time sink!)

Hope this helps, and i'll post my final results when i finish.

I basically only turned in about 40 beads a day ( 3 trips with my over stocked inventory or bought whatever I could for 200gil or less) ,over 4 days

I started at ~169 riceballs after I turned in about 24 zinc ores and 8 yag beads

I came up with that equation before, but it didn't make sense at first probably because of me estimating wrong.

Found a slow way to know if you have enough fame.
(Did it a while ago, but just verified recently by going to Norg)

After Nanaa gives you the quest, talk to her consorts, and turned in one set (4beads) she will tell you the following -
"Can't you I'm busy right now?
Give a girl a little brrreathing room, huh?"
And she'll state this for Norg fames 1 through 4

I lost track of exact number of quests done, but its in the range of 32-35, (easily done enough with a Thf sub, and getting ~40 beads a day for 4days)

At definite Norg fame 5, by fame standards, Nanaa says something different-
"Just 'cause I accepted your token of esteem doesnt' mean you can get away with murderrr.
You have to do things my way if you don't want me getting all catty on you!! Now, goodbye and ta-ta!"

5 stipulations are as follows:
-I did previously about 6 zinc quest equivilents.
-I had Rank 4/Tenshodo membership.
-I had Ninja and Samurai quest done.
-I did little to no quests in between, (be careful as someone posted earlier that other quests can deminish fame in a counter-region.)
-I turned in two more sets after new msg

Results:
-Riceball 152
-Norg Fame 5
-Able to do all ninja scroll quests in Norg
-Able to get Leviathon quest (prime) even tho not a summoner- (couldn't get mini (lvl 20) quest, after acception to full)

She said this to me after i'd turned in 12 rice balls. I dont think its an accurate indication.

The way her dialogue changed for me was as follows...

Zone in to w. woods, talk to nanaa, she says "cant you see im busy, give a girl some brrrreathing room (etc)"

Turn in 4 neclaces, and from that point on, (unless you zone) she says "just because i accepted your token doesnt mean you can get away with murrrrder...."

She definately says these 2 things when you are UNABLE to get any quests in Norg.

I intend to give her necklaces so I can get Utsusemi: Ichi. About how many will I have to hand in for the necessary fame? Someone else asked, but no one answered, so I'm trying again. Someone else mentioned the number 25, but I'm not sure about that, they weren't specific. I'd really like to get Utsusemi soon, so any help is greatly appreciated ..

Does this quest also give Windurst fame? or is Windy fame tied to Norg/Tenshodo fame? I'm leaning towards the latter because the fame checker in Rabeo said something about me being well-known in Rabeo, but of course that may not apply for this specific quest.

I'm confused, How does Rabao Fame connect to Windurst or Norg/Tenshodo Fame???

Windurst Fame is tied to Mhaura fame and of course Jeuno Fame
Rabao has nothing to do with Norg/Tenshodo Fame or Windurst Fame, Rabao Fame is Selbina Fame which connects to Sandoria, Bastok, and Jeuno Fame.

This quest gives both Windurst and Tenshodo Fame.

AH price
# Feb 14 2004 at 2:33 AM Rating: Default
If you're deliberate enough about it, you can force a price suppression in Windy to get things down to 100g/necklace. If you can pop in and buy all of the 100g and lower necklaces (of which there will be a few), eventually all of the new players will sell see that they're going for 100 and sell theirs for that much. As long as you only buy at 100, and you stop in to buy up the 2-10 necklaces every hour or two (maybe during questing or something), you can keep the price low and not lose much turning them in.

I made enough money doing quests while doing this to break even on getting my norg fame, sorta. :) Ended up with about 10k, same as I started with, but with enough fame to go get utstusemi. :) Took me like 10 hours of questing/subjob-leveling/logging-out/etc over the course of a few days.

Nanaa Mihgo is always there. Day or night.

If you see Vashai, the chieftainess, you are in the wrong wing. Back away, and turn right, keep on going, and Nanaa Mihgo should be behind a table.

I hope my mixed sense of logic hasn't confused you too much. ^^

Or summoner, you need Tenshodo fame to get Leviathan.
#Anonymous, Posted: Dec 08 2003 at 1:18 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) i sell yagudo necklaces for 350 each at the AH... I have no idea why you would give FOUR for 200 only...
RE: ummm... they sell for a lot...
# Jan 31 2004 at 11:30 PM Rating: Default
Let me think about this..

200/4 = 50 per necklace..

350-50 = 300 profit per necklace..

25x4 repeating the qeust for Teshodo fame = 100..

100x300=30,000

30k vs enoguh fame for a quest that gives a 100k item.. plus other items..

I'll take the fame.

(That and I have NEVER seen them sell for 350 each.. yikes)

Also another crafting thing unrelated to the quest, but related to crafting through Yagudo Necklaces:

Clothcraft:

+ Wind Crystal
+ Yagudo Necklace
-------------------
+ 3 Grass Thread
+ Earth Crystal
-------------------
1 Square of Grass Cloth~!

^^

((BTW: above was a chain of synthesis. i.e., use the three grass threads you get from the necklace and make some cloth by adding an earth crystal.)) ^^

# Dec 03 2003 at 4:00 PM Rating: Default
I love yagudo Necklaces....if u combine a yagudo neckace in a wind crystal u get 3 grass threads

if u combine the 3 grass threads in an earth crystal u get a grass cloth

Grass cloth's sell for about 250G at AH sometimes u can buy the necklaces for 50G and pull a sweet profit
RE: yaguda necklaces
# Jun 03 2004 at 7:43 PM Rating: Default
wind crystal ~150
earth crystal ~30
necklace ~50 (so you say)
people always forget crystals cost money. you think you are making profit but you would make more off the crystal you use to synth

If you can't do the quest, sell the necklaces at the AH. They're used in early clothcraft.

#REDACTED, Posted: Nov 07 2003 at 12:37 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) You cannot do this quest once you've started mission 4, since she's a character in that quest. I didn't know about this quest untill after I started mission 4 (and with like 8 necklaces in storage, I'm a packrat). So I never got this quest... do you turn the necklaces in to her, or her henchmen?
