Battle Notes

In order to begin this quest you must first talk to Zebada at (F-12) in Uleguerand Range. He will give you a Rare/Ex item called a Cotton Pouch. Slide down at (E-9) and enter the cave at (F-8) and trade the Cotton Pouch to the Chamnaet Spring to get another Rare/Ex item called Chamnaet Ice. Go back to Zebada and trade it to him and he will give you the key item: Zephyr Fan. This is the item needed to enter the battle and everyone in the party must have it to participate.

Head to Bearclaw Pinnacle and prepare to enter. When you are ready, choose the battle Brothers. There is no cap on this fight, you have 30 minutes to win, and a max of 6 people can enter the battlefield.

You will fight two Taurus mobs: Eldertaur and Mindertaur. They cast White Magic spells such as: Cure V, Protect IV, Flash, Banish II, and Shell III.

Should you win, you will receive 3500 experience points and some items.

did this last night...got crap drops but we won. only problem we really ran into was when our ninja got doomed, and the holy water failed, as usual ><

75nin/war
75rng/nin
75blm/whm
75rdm/blm (me)

i kited the big one while they killed off the small one. i used bind a lot, as well as gravity paralyze and slow (which wouldnt stick even @ enfeebling 302)

our blm did a ******** of dmg to it with thundaga III but nearly died. the nin died once (like i said, doomed and then the holy water failed) i raised him, hasted, while the rng kited for a minute...then we finished him off. pretty easy. too bad all we got was a dragon bone.......-.-

I completed this last night. Party set up was:

73BLM/36WHM (me)
75MNK/37WAR
73NIN/36WAR
73RNG/36NIN
72WHM/36BLM
73RED/36BLM

First I ran in and did ES+Sleep II on Mindertarus (larger one.) While he was naping, the Monk 2hred on the Eldertarus (smaller one.) By the time I casted Fire IV the mob, it died to it. From here the Redmage casted ES+Gravity, and Monk continued his destrutive force on the Mindertarus. I casted Firaga III. Ranger 2hred. I stunned the cure 5 he was about to cast, and then casted Thundaga III. ByeBye Brothers.

We broke the record at 3 minutes and some change. This has to be the easiest ENM that I have done.

Side Note: I was told that we would be going against Tarus. Being a Taru myself I was excited to finally go against someone my own height. If these two brothers are Tarus, then they must have taken a sip from the same ooze that transformed the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles into what they became. Tarus are supposed to be cute, these two are down right Fugly. Before I get flamed, it's just an attempt at humor guys.

Side Note II: These two can eat through Blink and Stoneskin in one or two hits, so be carefull all my fellow mages out there.

Last Side Note I Swear: We recieved 3500 exp and a bunch of nice drops. Be organized before you enter and these two should be a joke, with great rewards.

2 Tarus type mobs, eldertarus, and mindertarus.
I forget which is which, but basically its a small one and a large one. They both can cast cure 5, and flash, and have the usual tarus moves (aoe damage + strong poison, curse gaze type attack) Normally we kill the small one first, then rest up and kill the big one. Big one is very immune to sleep (kited).
The big one is taken out second cause hes much harder then the first. Alternates from physical immune to magic immune (at least i think, sometimes will randomly be hitting for 0 damage.) Near death will spam cure 5 very often. Commonly drops cassia lumber / dragon bone (/cry). Yet to get a scouters rope, but we (my ENM static) are about 2/5 on Hedgehog which is really nice. Overall this one is much harder then the ENM boneyard gully, but the rewards are a bit better as well.
where at

The Hedgehog Bomb give you 30 MP and -1 Enmity in a ranged slot. Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure there aren't a whole lot of other useful ranged slot items for mages, besides the Morion Talthum.

Morion tathlum, holy ampulla, phantom tathlum~ TG for this new item, can't wait to get my hands on one! *deletes all ranger macros for safety*
